The Cursed Extra: Twin Souls Against the World

Chapter 55: Perfect plan.

Auren stared with wide eyes as the leech before him went limp.

The guy behind him pulled him back. "Auren, you idiot, what did you do?"

Everyone stared wide-eyed as the moment Auren pulled his hand back, Viyron fell lifelessly onto the ground.

One guy rushed forward and placed his fingers on Viyron's nose.

The other three waited in suspense until the guy shouted, "Wait, he is still breathing. We have to hurry and send him to the castle."

Auren shouted, "No, if he dies there, it will be over for us."

The guy behind him shouted, "What else can we do?"

Auren looked at the trees beside the track.

Everyone gulped as they understood Auren's intention.

The second guy shook his head. "No, Auren, that's too risky. There's a high chance we will get caught."

Auren shouted while rubbing sweat off his face, "No, that's the only thing we can try."

The blue-haired guy, who had just pulled him back, shook his head. "Hey, you idiot, don't tell me you forgot who this guy is? If those from the Zenaris find out about this, I don't think it will end peacefully."

The second guy grabbed his head. "Shit, they might attack our family in the name of revenge. We might end up in some torture chamber."

Auren grabbed his head as he imagined a scenario where, because of his actions, his entire family would have to work for the house of Zenaris. What had he done? Shit, he never wanted this to happen.

The guy who was checking Viyron's pulse shouted, "Guys, decide fast. His breath is getting shallower with every second."

The other three looked at the almost-dead Viyron and then at each other.

But just then, they heard a loud voice. "What's going on here?"

The four of them froze as they turned to see their nightmare coming true.

They could not believe that, out of all the people, the one who caught them just happened to be the red-haired Jake.

Jake looked at Viyron's almost-dead body with his mouth wide open.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief and then turned to look at the other four.

Auren recognized Jake, and he knew Jake also hated Viyron, so he tried to explain. "Jake… I… didn't—"

Only for Jake to bark back at him. "Are you for real? Why the hell are you guys wasting time here? Don't tell me you want to kill a Zenaris."

It snapped Auren back to the cold reality.

Jake wasted no time, rushed forward to pick Viyron up, and shouted to Auren, "Come help now. We will discuss later."

He turned to the others. "One of you go ahead and inform someone in the castle. And I want one guy to rush to the dormitory and bring sister Melina here."

The moment Auren heard Melina's name, a hope reignited in his eyes.

He knew she wasn't going to let him take the blame. No, she could not afford that.

Auren looked at the blue-haired guy beside him. "Rusk, you take Viyron. I will call Melina myself. She could definitely help us."

Before others could react, Auren started running toward the dormitory.

Others, including Jake, were surprised at Auren's reaction, but they did not have much time to waste.

So, while Rusk rushed to the castle, the others picked up Viyron and started moving there as well.

As they were moving, Jake just looked at the big hole in Viyron's chest and gulped.

He knew that if Viyron could not make it, these four wouldn't be the only ones who would face repercussions.

Just then, a hex master in a green robe appeared before them.

He wasted no time and placed one hand on Viyron, and in the very next moment, Viyron disappeared alongside the hex master, leaving the others in the cold, silent night.

They looked at each other, and then Jake said in a cold tone, "Just follow me."

With that, he started leading them back to the dormitory, toward Miss Melina's room.

Inside Melina's room, Auren bowed to her. "You have to save me."

Melina stared at Auren with wide eyes. She could not believe her ears. "Why the hell did you do that?"

Auren just grabbed his head. "I don't know. Just looking at his face makes me angry. You know, Dad told me Viyron would not attend the academy. He told me that he has a deal with Big Miss."

Melina rubbed her forehead and shouted back, "I know this was not supposed to happen, but that doesn't mean you have to kill him."

Auren shuddered. "No, I didn't."

"Oh, if that's the case, then why run to me? What do you even expect me to do?"

Auren just crouched down with both hands on his head. "I did not mean to attack him. Please, you have to help me. I promise I will pay you back for this help."

Melina turned to the other side, and the frown on her face flipped to a wide smile on her face.

Things had escalated more than she anticipated, but the result was also much better this way.

But if that nuisance died, it could get troublesome. It would be perfect if he just survived in a vegetative state, but the chance of that was too low.

'Well, that doesn't matter. Now, how should I get the most out of this?'

Unaware of the entire trap he had landed himself in, Auren continued to weep. "Please just help me this time. My entire family will be grateful to you."

Melina controlled her wide smile and turned back with a serious face. "Okay, I will make sure this doesn't affect you. But keep in mind that if he dies, it's out of my hands. You have to provide all the resources to make sure the guy survives."

Auren nodded with a wide smile. "Yeah, don't worry about the resources. The moment I get access to the messaging room, I will explain the entire thing to my dad. He would handle all the costs."

Melina also added, "Keep in mind, Auren, I am only helping you because you are Cowrie's brother. Don't take it for granted. Also, don't keep her in the dark, because this could very much affect her. I don't want my friend to face any problems because of you."

As Auren heard Melina calling his sister her friend, he almost smiled.

Not wanting to mess up any more, he got up and bowed again. "Thank you so much."

Melina waved to him. "You can go now. Also, I don't want you to go anywhere close to my brother again."

With that, Auren rushed out.
