Amaterasu
Pov Dia,
It’s the day after my date with Rimuru. She and Sera are together, comparing their dates and trying to determine who had the best date with me. I find this idea stupid because, after all, it is not a competition.
At the moment, I am with Inari, talking with her to prepare my festival date with Sera and Rimuru.
Inari: "There are two festivals in Kyoto. One is on the human side and the other is on the Yokai side. Both are different, so you could go to both if you want, but the Yokai one is more interesting."
Dia: "What’s the difference?"
Inari: "Yokai are more festive than humans and also we know that gods exist."
Dia: "But humans also believe in the gods."
Inari: "Yes, but the problem is that some people would rather make a profit than enjoy the festival."
Dia: "But it’s a festival; you have to enjoy it and make others enjoy it, not think about money."
Inari: "Unfortunately, most humans only think about money. That doesn't mean their festival isn’t beautiful, but their greed spoils it a little."
Dia: "What’s the finale of the festival so I can bring them and finish my date with that?"
Inari: "It’s the performance of the miko who do the kagura dance in honor of Lady Amaterasu-sama."
Dia: "Since I’ve known you for a while, I’m guessing you will perform this dance, am I wrong?"
Inari: "No, you’re right. It would be shameful if the representative of Lady Amaterasu-sama did not perform this dance in her honor."
Dia: "I have a question. Why are you so loyal to Amaterasu?"
Inari: "She is the goddess of the sun and one of the most powerful beings."
Dia: "One of the top 10?"
Inari: "Yes, she draws her power from the sun. The higher the sun is and the closer it is to the earth, the more powerful she becomes."
Dia: "But doesn’t that mean she is greatly dependent on the sun? So if it's dark, she is weak?"
Inari: "No, she can create an alternative to the sun. Even if her strength is less than with the real sun, she still remains strong. Additionally, she has a sun aura, so when she activates it, it feels like you are standing next to the sun."
Dia: "So she’s very dangerous to our race."
Inari: "Indeed, her sun aura is even more powerful than the power of light from angels and deities because, unlike them, her aura is not physical. You need to fight her at a distance to avoid being overwhelmed by her aura."
Dia: "She would be a formidable opponent, but are high-ranking devils more resistant to her aura?"
Inari: "I think, yes, they will be more resistant, but her aura will be so strong that we might not see the difference."
Dia: "With my rank, do you think I might not get hurt by her aura?"
Inari: "No idea, but I think you would still get hurt. You just need to be a little stronger, and you could withstand her aura. Why so many questions? Do you want to kill her? I warn you, if you try to do this, I will attack you immediately."
Dia: "No, but I would like to gain experience against her. I will try to become even stronger, and then I will challenge her in a no-stakes duel. And you will be the one who will allow me to fight her."
Inari: "I don’t want Lady Amaterasu to waste time because of me."
Dia: "The fight is not yet. If it happens, she will challenge me."
Inari:" I still don’t want the fight."
Dia:" It will be up to her and you have to stop a little bit with this belief that surpasses the most believing in the church."
