Chapter 13: ITS FINALLY HERE![ 10 ]
-[ SHINICHIRO ]-
---
The Togata family's backyard had been transformed into a makeshift battleground. The sun hung high in the sky, casting long shadows across the open space where Shinichiro and Mirio stood facing each other.
Mirio grinned, his trademark enthusiasm shining through. "You've been getting pretty good, Shinichiro. Let's see if you can keep up with me now."
Shinichiro smirked, rolling his shoulders. "You've been hyping this up all week, Big bro. Let's see what you've got. Don't be surprised if I've already surpassed you."
The air crackled with tension as the two prepared to engage. Hori and Takeshi stood on the sidelines, watching intently. Even Midoriya had joined, his notebook in hand as he furiously jotted down observations.
"Begin!" Takeshi barked.
Mirio wasted no time, activating his quirk —Permeation.
In an instant he sank into the ground, vanishing from sight. Shinichiro's eyes darted around, his senses on high alert.
"Where will you come from?" Shinichiro muttered under his breath, his muscles coiled like a spring. His stance stable, ready for any tricks his brother might pull.
Suddenly, Mirio shot up from the ground behind him, aiming a punch at his back.
Shinichiro reacted instinctively, vanishing in a blur of blue energy.
[BOOM!]
Mirio's punch missed by inches, slamming into the ground and sending up a cloud of dust.
"Not bad!" Mirio called, his grin widening. "But you'll need more than speed to win this!"
Shinichiro reappeared a few meters away, his feet skidding against the dirt.
"Same goes for you, Big bro! You can't hit what you can't catch! " Shinchiro said with a cheeky grin on his face.
The fight escalated as Shinichiro surged forward, his movements a blur as he aimed a series of rapid strikes at Mirio. But Mirio's mastery of Permeation made him untouchable. Each punch passed harmlessly through his body, leaving Shinichiro momentarily off-balance.
But still Shinchiro pressed on.
Each blow he threw, Mirio used as an opportunity to counter attack with a strike of his own.
"Come on, Shinichiro!" Hori shouted from the sidelines. "Don't let him control the fight!"
"I know, I know!" Shinichiro yelled back, frustration creeping into his voice.
Mirio took advantage of the momentary distraction, phasing through Shinichiro's next strike and delivering a perfectly timed uppercut. The blow connected, sending Shinichiro sprawling across the ground.
"Focus!" Takeshi barked. "Don't let him bait you!"
Spitting out a bit of dirt, Shinichiro got back to his feet. His eyes narrowed as he reassessed his strategy. "Alright, Big bro.....Let's turn things up a notch!"
Blue energy crackled around him as he activated [ Boost Mode ], increasing his speed and reflexes. With calculated precision, he began feinting, throwing out false attacks to force Mirio to predict incorrectly.
Mirio grinned, impressed. "Oh, you're learning! Impressive! Let's see if it's enough!"
Inorder to beat Big bro.. I'm going to have to switch things up I can't be predictable when fighting him so....
Shinichiro dashed in, his movements erratic. Mirio phased, expecting another fake, but Shinichiro anticipated this.
...I have to catch him off guard like this!
He shifted his momentum mid-step, delivering a spinning kick to Mirio's side just as the older boy solidified.
[Thunderclash technique: pulse breaker!]
[WHAM!]
The impact sent Mirio sliding backward, his grin replaced with a wince. "Now that was a good hit."
Blue streaks dancing around his arm showing the effects of the attack.
The fight continued, each combatant pushing the other to their limits. Shinichiro's speed and adaptability clashed against Mirio's precision and experience.
But still despite Shinchiro's raw talent and ability he was still overwhelmed by Mirio's experience.
Finally, Takeshi raised a hand. "Enough!"
Both fighters stopped, panting heavily. Sweat dripped from their faces, but their grins mirrored each other's.
"That was awesome," Mirio said, extending a hand.
"Yeah," Shinichiro agreed, shaking it firmly. "You're not half bad Big bro. "
From the sidelines, Hori smirked. "You mean he's better than you."
Midoriya's notebook was already filled with scribbles as he muttered, "Incredible... Mirio-senpai's Permeation combined with Shinichiro-kun's [ Boost Mode ]... they're perfectly matched!"

The weeks leading up to the U.A. entrance exam were filled with grueling preparation. Shinichiro, Hori, and Midoriya trained together every day, each pushing the others to improve.
The three could be seen discussing with one another via a group chat they made earlier on.
"U.A.'s exam is going to be tough," Hori said one evening, her voice laced with determination. "They're looking for more than just strength. We have to show them we're ready to be heroes."
"Then let's give them everything we've got," Shinichiro replied, his fist bumping hers.
Midoriya nodded enthusiastically. "We'll crush it together!"

[EXAM DAY]
The day of the entrance exam arrived, and the trio stood at the gates of U.A., the weight of their incoming trial pressing down on them, their nerves masked by determination. The towering building loomed before them, a symbol of the future they sought to claim.
The hero course- the main goal of every student with a decent quirk and a dream.
And so begins the start of cannon... although while it may have been an anime, a fictional media to me when I was still a corporate slave, right now it's real, my reality, every friend, ever relationship I have with them is real..
"Alright," Shinichiro said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's do this."
And so they walked towards their future!
[ Trip ]
!
Well most of them, Shinchiro and Hori could only watch with an awkward look on their faces as their dear friend, Midoriya, succumbed to his nervousness and almost fell flat on his face— but luckily for the timely intervention of a new face the embarrassing situation was avoided. Causing the young Midoriya to be left suspended in the air like he was stuck in place.
The one who helped avoid such a fate was...
Ochako Uraraka...
Shinchiro thought.
A young, petite girl with a soft and approachable appearance.
The girl has round, expressive brown eyes and short, brown hair that is styled in a bob with slightly curled ends, with a and a rather cute round face, with a permanent blush on it.
" U-Um thanks.." Midoriya said sheepishly with a blush on his face. His response left Hori giggling and Shinichiro sighing.
Yare yare seems like he still has trouble talking to girls
Shinichiro muttered under his breath.
" Um. Good luck with the exam. "
Uraraka said as she waved at us.
What a nice girl...
They all thought.
