Chapter 3: and then there's me.
Anyway, I'm Jessy, if you're reading this you're reading my diary. This is my life story, well my ancestors life story. I haven't gotten to mine yet, just what it took to make Me. Once we finish with their story we can head on to mine, I'm only sixteen so my story is just starting.
My parents ended up joining the LOR pack, my mother gave up her alpha title and with it went the strength of an alpha. She didn't expect to lose her alpha strength, so she worried about my father Josiah. He didn't seem affected in the slightest, everyone was surprised especially my mother. The doctors said since his pack was already taken from him and his ties severed it was as if he was a omega already.
My father tried to be a warrior, unfortunately he was too weak and wasn't able to make the cut. My mother went to work with my aunt Cindy in the daycare taking care of the children while the pack worked or trained. My father settled for a job in maintenance just to help the pack out. They had me unexpectedly a couple years later after several unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant.
I wasn't really picked on in school, just the chubby girl who stuck to herself. I reached puberty at the age of 12, extremely uncommon for the wolf community. My wolf larger than Alpha Duncan's, yet my parents didn't want me showing my wolf or shifting without cause. Worried that the alpha would feel challenged having a wolf the same size as him from a 12 year old pup.
My wolf is extremely protective of me, she has forced control several times to protect me against bullies or even getting in trouble from my parents. After a while no one dare challenge me or my wolf, my mother begged me to submit to the alpha so I wouldn't get exiled on my 18th birthday. They're not allowed to touch or hurt a minor without just cause and not allowed to exile them either. The only reason I'm Still here is because the council made that law shortly before I got my wolf.
I haven't done anything wrong besides snapping or growling at someone trying to intimidate me or my family for being omega's. Well.. that and never submitting to any Alpha's. The only alpha that I was practically forced to submit to was Alpha Lucas and his Mate Beta Marcus, he kept the Beta position but still has his alpha strength from being mated to an alpha. They came to help supervise one of the annual events for shifted wolves above 16 years of age to find their mate.
It was my first year, I barely made entry because I turned 16 that same night. My parents were helping serve and Alpha Lucas recognized my father as the next alpha of Nightshade pack. He started gloating about how easy it was to take over the pack and wondering if his little omega mate was worth losing his family and pack for. My wolf saw red and so did I, my wolf had grown in size and strength and at the age of 16 I could take down almost any alpha.
Except this alpha knew my weakness, my family. I haven't found my mate yet but I knew if he wasn't as strong as me or stronger the Alpha asshole would use him against me as well. The only way he can make me submit it putting my family in danger, knowing my wolf cares more about them than dominance. Even then both Alpha Lucas and Beta Marcus had to use their combined auras against me to stop my savage wolf.
Over the next year I stayed to myself, training in the forest with my wolf to gain better control of her. The next annual event is soon and there wouldn't be any incidents Like last time. While I wasn't practicing with my wolf I would stay at home snacking watching romantic comedies, hoping I would find something like that. My wolf and I were complete opposites, while I was a couch potato who loved her snacks my wolf loved endurance.
She loved to run for hours and work on sparring with any wolf, or animal, game enough. She made friends with Beta Brian's wolf, they would spar but she was careful to never hurt him. Though she and Brian's wolf were friends, I wasn't very out going. I respected Beta Brian, but wouldn't call him a friend.
I guess he was the closest thing I had to a friend since I was forced to be home schooled shortly after getting my wolf. He was the only one my wolf respected enough not to attempt to attack on sight, and he taught me how to harness her rage. Ok, I guess he is my friend, I typically get along with the older generation. The new generation of wolves get on my nerves, always trying to test their limits and push my wolf to go off in front of an Alpha.
They're always challenging me, hearing rumors of how fierce my wolf is just to back down the second my pitch black wolf forces her shift. She has piercing blue eyes that encapsulate you and terrify you at the same time. The last time she forced her shift was when the Alpha's son said "I don't know how an omega family can afford to feed her enough for her to get that fat". She had her teeth pressed against his neck so fast that I didn't even realize it was my father's scrawny wolf making his first appearance in 20 years.
Luckily not only is she stronger, she has heightened sense of smell, taste, and sight. She was able to stop just in time to not kill our father, growling as she took her teeth away from his neck. My father shifted back almost immediately, he was exhausted. The 2 minutes he was shifted took nearly everything out of him, while I can be shifted for days in the woods without feeling a thing.
So much for being good for the annual event..
