The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 240- Kevin's Awakening: Release [Tiamat] (2)

"You?" The knight looked at the squire's dark black pool of eyes that was filled with determination at this moment and nodded his head.

"I'll beat your ass for this entire month if you let them bet you".

Kevin nodded and stepped forward. Having been provoked to this extent, if they backed down now, it would make their order look weak. It was something that Kevin could not stand.

"Brat, I commend you for stepping up to me without running away. However, if you know what's better for you, you should quickly give up. Let me tell you, I am a level 5 Great Warrior. In the entire Pewter City, a warrior as powerful as me can be counted on one hand. If you understand, then scram".

The burly warrior was saying something. However, Kevin did not register any of that; he had slipped into that special state that he felt during his fight against the Boss Troll.

"You really are an ignorant brat."

BANG… The level 5 Great Warrior punched forward, his immense strength pushing against the air, causing a visible wind force to appear around his fist.

The punch sped forward, and in the blink of an eye, it was already upon the boy. Just when it seemed like it would connect and send the latter flying, an unexpected thing occurred. Kevin slightly pushed his left foot to the side and, with heel to toe glide, he dodged the fist, inches away from his face.

His attack dodged, the Great Warrior was shocked. However, before he could recover, a large crimson sword came slashing at him with its blunt side.

CLANG… there was a piercing noise followed by the incredible scene of the burly warrior being sent flying.

Everyone watching sucked their breath, the scene was that surprising. A small boy who would not even be half the size of the burly man, had actually sent the other guy flying with that small body of his.

"Hm? What's going on?"

Their confrontation started to draw more attention, and soon, even Alex pretended to notice it. However, when he turned around to see the scene, his eyes widened in shock unexpectedly.

At this moment, the Great Warrior who was sent flying, picked himself up, his face flushed red with embarrassment. Coincidentally, his eyes met Alex, and seeing the dark look in the other party's eyes, his face ashened.

Immediately, he propped himself up, his expression filled with rage.

"Brat, you are dead," he roared out, unsheathing his axe and swinging it down on the boy.

In response, Kevin matched the Great Warrior's aggressiveness with his own. The other party might be burly with big muscles and frame. However, it did not mean that their frame reflected their stats.

Unable to use skills and called a failure, Kevin had only one weapon he could use, his body. And so, he trained it every single day until he could even match those talented ones with their gifted skills.

His level might be lower; however, thanks to the training and sword techniques he had learned and polished, he was far superior to the Great Warrior. Moreover, his stats were not lower than the other party either.

CLANG… there was a sharp metallic noise, and the burly warrior was pushed back. Again, again and again, every time he swung his axe, the boy would counter perfectly and hit his armor as if saying that had he used the sharp side of the sword, he would be dead.

Shocked and filled with humiliation, the former started using his skill.

"[Great Cleave], [Mountain Slip], [Horizontal Chop]" the skills of a level 5 Great Warrior class were incredibly powerful. Each slash and hack contained an immense amount of strength and mana.

However, no matter how powerful a skill was, it mattered not if it did not connect.

Kevin, swinging his crimson sword, perfectly judged his opponents' swing and reach, dodging and parrying every attack. His sword, creating a perfect arc, connected at the midpoint of the axe, dispersing all of its powers and knocking the Great Warrior's balance.

In the same breath, he changed the grip on his sword and performed a slash, precise and elegant.

PSSHH… "Argghh!!" blood sprayed out, and the great warrior was sent flying again.

This time, Kevin did not hold back. After showing the other party the difference in their strength repeatedly and seeing that they did not learn anything, he used the sharp side of his sword, thus defeating them.

Goro, the Great Warrior fell. Everyone from the Brilliant Sword was shocked. This young man who was not even half the size of Goro, managed to defeat him and sent them flying not once, but twice. What's more, he did not even use any skill.

"Hmph, compared to the seniors of our Order, you are nothing. You are just flinging around your skill without any direction or control. With just that ability, you cannot even defeat a recruit".

Kevin spat some condescending words. He had won the match, so he naturally had the rights to look down on the other party.

"You! How dare you do that to Goro?" The woman screamed hysterically and attacked. She pointed her staff and chanted her skill "Enchantment skill [Expand Attribute]— [Fire Pillar]".

BOOM… the end of her staff lit up brightly, seconds later, a large pillar of flames shot towards Kevin who was completely exposed.

He might be physically powerful, and his talent with the sword top tier. However, he had a glaring weakness; he could not use skill. In front of the fire pillar, he was completely helpless.

Water spurred forth underneath Gwen's feet, who activated her skill and rushed to aid Kevin immediately. Rolan, and Delicia did the same.

However, before they could provide any actual help, the boy raised his large crimson sword towards the incoming fire pillar and whispered a name.

[Tiamat]

At that moment, a heavy gurgling noise came out of the sword, and the next second, its smooth, solid surface started churning, as frightening tendril broke out of it.

The sword changed shape and turned into a maw that devoured the incoming skill [Fire Pillar].
