Chapter 142: SAVED BY MY SENIORS
The glorious backyard garden was no more; inside the mansion that lost half of its appeal, in one of the many rooms, Alan sat together with Theodora, who was clearly shaken from the previous events.
Theodora: "We left Lana asleep. I am worried about her; we should find a healer to check on her."
Alan: "She is fine; her consciousness suffered slightly under the massive intimidating aura. She will need to sleep for a while, and she will be fine."
Theodora: "Can you stop being so mysterious? Please tell me what happened."
Alan: "You will know soon."
As soon as he finished his words, the door opened; from behind the door, the old ancestor, who looked like the hollowed bark of a dead tree, walked in.
Ancestor: "Young man, I can't thank you enough for what you did. I have sent my men to the backyard. They only reported the massive destruction that we see; there are no traces of those vile men."
Alan: "I was merely trying to keep myself alive; there is no need to thank me. Have you dealt with your friend?"
Ancestor: "His status as an evolution master is already high, so he will not die, but I will make him wish for it!!"
The rage reflected in the old man's eyes was as clear as a fire in a dark forest.
Ancestor: "Young man, I believe that you know who saved us. I don't want to die before with a life debt."
Before Alan could say anything, three people appeared behind the old man without him even noticing.
Even though the old ancestor is only a shell of what he had been in his prime, still to be able to elude his senses is quite a feat.
Suddenly Alan stood up, saluting the three people at the door.
With dark raincoats and masks covering their faces, the three of them gave off a chilling aura. They were finally noticed by Theodore and the old man, who turned around in a hurry.
Alan: "Seniors, thank you for saving our lives."
The man in the middle was the first to talk; he was a huge man with a steel-like body, and he gave the feeling of an unshakable mountain.
"We could not have done anything if it were not for you; we have seen your brilliant handling of the situation, code name."
Alan: "Seed number 33 greets the seniors."
The lean man on the left could not help but exclaim.
"Woha You're still a seed; you handled the situation like an expert. If you weren't young, I would definitely think you're lying to us now."
The shortest of the three, who was the last to talk, could not help but ask.
"How did you find us? How did you know we were here?"
Alan: "I might be looking at you right now in the eye, but I'm blind. I also have a rare space talent, which I use to create a domain around myself to help me see the world. Your disguise is phenomenal, to say the least. I only managed to guess your existence by the slight spatial disturbance from your location, which was minute, but I tend to be extremely sensitive to such changes."
The man in the middle asked.
"How did you know we are allies? What if we were a secondary force related to the three men?"
Alan: "Again, my space talent is very…. "Well, superior, when I first detected your location, I used the spatial lay lines to observe your conduct; to my delight, I found that your target of observation, according to your fixation on them, is the three people who threatened to take everyone's life."
The lean man's eyes widened.
"You can interact with the spatial ley lines!!"
Alan: "Indeed I do. That's how I saw the seniors, and that was our lifeboat from this dangerous situation. I know that this is out of protocol, but may I ask why you were observing the three of them? What was your mission objective?"
Suddenly the man in the middle narrowed his eyes.
"You don't know that this is confidential, and yet you're asking. I would like to think that there is a reason for breaking protocol."
Alan: "From what I got and understand from interacting with the three of them, they must be from some sort of organization. I don't care about their background or truly the mission objective you have; what I'm interested in is did you have the chance to take them out before they reach this mansion?"
The shortest of the three answered.
"We did; for maximum benefits, it was better to let them float and find out their objective, even at the risk of losing innocent lives."
The lean man who felt the tension building up immediately spoke.
"We were absolutely ready to take them out at any time; ensuring your lives was our priority. It is just that the mission objective was important."
Alan: "Was?"
The huge man answered.
"Thanks to you we have already captured them alive. The rest will be taken care of. We only appeared before your eyes as a sign of respect for you handling the situation. I did not know that you were one of us."
Alan: "Well, I'm thankful that you came and showed yourself because the most important thing related to your mission is the objective of the three, which is this dreadful stone."
Alan took out the Redstone that was glowing from the void.
"Of course we are here to take that stone; after all, the objective of that organization cannot be something simple."
Alan: "Do you know what type of stone this is?"
The huge man shook his head, indicating that he did not have any idea.
Alan: "First, this is not a stone; this is a seed. The name of this Redstone is [FIEND SEED]."
The moment Alan mentioned the true name of this stone, the three of them stiffened. Even the ancestor's breath hitched.
Finally, total silence took over the whole room.
Meanwhile, Theodora was totally shocked but because of a completely different reason. She watched Alan salute the newcomers, and she listened to the conversation. The more she heard, the more she found it unbelievable.
Her gaze focused on Alan.
He looked to be in his late teens, yethe handled the situation with ease; he identified the item and swapped it back then during the exchange.
That means he had anticipated the whole situation from that moment, and he planned and executed a solution in the process, saving their lives.
Is that even possible? She did not even understand what type of seed this red stone was, yet she felt the change in the atmosphere around her; she knew that this was something very serious.
Her line of thought was cut when the huge man talked in a shocked tone of voice.
"Are you sure?!"
Alan: "I am 100% sure. The little thing in my hand is without doubt a fiend seed. I don't know much about it either, but I have seen it in an ancient scripture that belonged to one of my instructors."
The lean man immediately wanted to take action.
"We need to send it to a secure location immediately!?"
But before he could walk forward, he was stopped by the huge man.
"No need to hurry; first let him talk."
Alan: "This stone belongs to a friend of mine, or, to be exact, her family. Miss Theodora is the one who can tell us where the stone came from."
Everyone looked at this beauty, who was speechless from the sudden shift of attention.
The huge man asked.
"Please tell us, where did you get the stone from, lady?"
Theodora: "This stone was brought back in the last shipment from the front lines that my family received. No one could understand the property of this stone, so it was immediately labeled as an unidentified relic. Mr. Lonton was the one who approached me to facilitate the deal. We have wanted a certain treasure from the Lontons, but they have refused to trade multiple times.
I was surprised when they wanted to do the exchange. The problem is that they asked for a complete list of resources and treasures, and what they picked was the red stone, which was useless to us. From my perspective, it was a win-win trade, and that's how we came to be here."
"We would need the exact location of which front line, and we would need your information, my lady, but before that, I believe that you have something to explain, Mr. Lonton."
The huge man turned his head as he gave the ancestor a menacing look.
Ancestor: "I truly do not know anything about this; I was not in the condition to preside over this trade. My son was the one who handled everything; I will have him brought here.
I may be old and frail, but neither I nor my bloodline are traitors; our loyalty is eternal to the federation!!"
The old man spoke in fervor; desperation could be heard in his tone of voice. Alan knew that the old man recognized what the Red Stone truly is, and even he was afraid to be branded as someone who had handled it.
Ancestor: "Go wake him up, get him to come here NOW!!!"
The ancestor screamed at the butler, who was standing in the hallway.
