Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy

Chapter 187: Julius I

Ethan returned to his place without batting an eye. The silence was almost unnerving as they stared at him, even the guardians couldn't do anything but stare as he walked back.

It wasn't every day that they saw an A-ranked beat an S-ranked, but Ethan had defeated an S-ranked in a one-sided fight with ease.

"...so... you are already this powerful eh..." Severin thought, and he nodded. His plan of making his tools stronger was coming up really great, and soon he would be able to use them in ways that he always wanted.

Borris was fuming. "Zenith Hero Academy, do you want to put down the rules of fighting to death? You should have told us. We are good at fighting that way!"

Severin looked over and shrugged. "They did say one of them shouldn't be able to move. I don't think that one would be making any movement soon."

Borris gritted his teeth and gestured for his other team member to join the arena. A girl this time. "Then thank you for letting me know."

"Another S-ranked," Solari said, but he was now looking at Severin and his team with a thoughtful look on his face. He turned to Miret. "Just then, before the fight began, that guy's pressure had swelled up as if he wasn't A-ranked.

"Do you know the reason? For an A-ranked to defeat an S... so easily."

Miret spread his hands. "What's there to know about? We all have our secrets. Besides, they won't be lucky again. That girl is S-rank. I don't see how they are going to do it now.

"The only A-ranked left among them is Julius Crane."

Solari didn't speak again as he turned to the other two guardians, but they didn't give him any face as they were still angry about their first loss.

And Vetra was only smirking as she enjoyed the show.

Borris was angry though, and so were all the prisoners, as almost all of them lost the first bet. They shouted out, but they were already placing bets on the next fight.

Before, betting on an S-rank against an A-rank should be something of a guarantee. But now? They hesitated. Should they bet against an A-ranked?

Maybe there was something different about the team!

But they didn't have to think for long, as Severin called out the next fighter from his team. "Julius!"

When Julius walked into the arena, the prisoners breathed a sigh and began to bet against him while they supported the S-ranked.

The reason was simple.

Julius was the only A-ranked most of them had ever met with an aura as weak as his. It was as if he was a D-ranked. Just what type of fight could they expect from such a person?

But some of the prisoners were cautious.

There must be a reason why Julius was chosen, right?

This time, the bet was not overwhelming against the Zenith Hero Academy.

Julius went on stage.

He held a dagger in his left hand and wore a metallic glove on his right hand.

His female opponent looked at him for a long time, a small smile curling her lips. "I know what happened to my brother. I saw it, and I'm going to take the revenge from you. Don't hate me for it. Hate the one that started it."

Julius looked at her and he removed his glasses. And then he put them into his pocket.

He really didn't need the glasses, but there was a reason he usually wore them. Not this time though. It was the first fight he would be having after his first 'real' training.

He was looking forward to it. "You think you are going to kill me?"

She snorted and gestured to him. "You should take offense. Do you really think you can defeat me, looking like that? You are an A-rank, the weakest I have ever met by far. And you want to fight an S-rank? You are just digging your own grave!"

Julius looked at her with skepticism. "You just saw an A-rank kill an S-ranked with ease. Don't tell me you are still thinking backward?"

She sneered, but her eyes flickered. "Your friend is different from you. At least he is strong. He looks stronger than you by far."

Julius nodded. "I know. He's the strongest in our team, except for Severin himself. But that still doesn't mean that you can kill me. I'll try to make this quick."

Her face darkened hard. "So be it."

She clenched her fist hard, and it sounded like bones grinding against each other. She took a single step forward, and her leg was imprinted into the floor.

An aura of faint silver surrounded her like a shroud, and the pressure spread across like tentacles. She raised her fist. "So be it!"

And then she shot forward with explosive speed. The ground beneath her shattered, a trail of shattering stones followed behind her as she sped forward.

Julius activated Severin's power, and his eyes shrunk and narrowed into points. The flesh between his eyes bulged and squirmed as if something was about to burst out from it.

The girl was fast, so fast in fact that people at Julius's rank shouldn't have been able to keep up with her speed, but there was an invisible halo on his head.

And as she moved, he saw it all.

He saw what she would do in the next two seconds as well.

Julius smirked as he remembered the evasion technique that Severin taught him. Instead of waiting, he leaped forward towards her.

Her eyes widened as she saw him head directly towards her at a speed that matched her own.

Bam!

They collided.

No... it seemed as if they collided!

But the guardians and some others saw things differently.

When she was about to collide with Julius in a full-body slam, he moved just right to the side, avoiding her by a few inches, and his right hand blurred into a punch that hit just below her ribs.

Bam!

The ground shattered around them.
