Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy

Chapter 183: Snake

"What do you think you are doing, Miret?" Nyssara asked in a stern voice, his eyes cold and his expression hard. Something flickered on his face. "I heard that there is still a Reignhart left in Zenith Hero Academy. But how dare you bring him to Isolde Dusk?"

Miret shrugged. "You didn't tell me that it was forbidden to do so. Or am I missing something?"

He asked the question in an entirely calm and curious tone as if he truly wanted to know.

Severin and the others stood to the side, watching the event unfold.

Ravyn hissed. "Drop the act, Miret! You know what you are doing and it's not my place to tell you what to do, but you shouldn't have done this!"

Miret's frown only deepened. "I only found an eligible heir for my fighting. See, he even came with his team."

Nyssara's face hardened. "Yes. His team that was made up of Crane and Aldrich. What is your aim exactly, Miret? We... I heard that the Reignhart in the Academy is a weak person. Do you bring him here to force our hands? That is something that won't be possible!"

Miret sighed and his face suddenly turned dark and cold. "I'm not one to shy from fighting. I have made my decisions. Make peace with it or not!"

Ravyn and Nyssara scowled but there was nothing they could do. They instead turned their attention to Severin and it felt as if a weight was placed on his shoulder as some of their aura spilled forth.

To them, the Reignhart's connection to Isolde Dusk was something that should have been left in the dark. Far in the past, the Reignhart might have been welcomed like kings in Isolde Dusk, but that was long ago.

Now, what remained is dust with almost nothing else.

Solari laughed again and gestured for Severin to come closer. "Reignhart! I've heard so much about you guys, but this is the first time I'll be seeing the most insane family in the world."

Severin paused. The history of his family... his host family was something he had been trying to put together bit by bit. They were an imperial family before they were overthrown for being tyrants.

No, not overthrown. They waited for the Reignhart Emperor to die and then they finished off his family.

Then later, they became a formidable noble House that wanted the Empire seat again, only to be thoroughly hunted down, only for the last one to create Isolde Dusk. And the title of five guardians were titles of his old loyal supporters.

But he never heard them being called the most insane family in the world.

Severin frowned. He waited to feel anything like family pride being wounded or not, but he felt nothing. He sighed. "I am glad to represent."

Solari laughed even harder. He clapped his hands together, creating a boom that spread a shockwave around them. "At first when I saw you, I thought you have the look of all those Lords who sit their ass on cold chairs and order people around."

Severin smiled. "And now?"

"Now. I see you are more than that! You have the look of a Lord who sits on a cold chair, but between him and the world are armoured men with cold steel. He still orders people around though."

Severin tilted his head thoughtfully. "Which one of them do you hate?"

Solari stopped smiling and leaned closer. "I hate both. They're both spineless fools who don't know how to get blood on their hands. They send people to do their dirty work.

"You know, the title of the five guardians is passed down through specific families. Each family was once a supporter of the Reignhart, and even though time has passed, there is a reason we don't change the title to Lord even though we are as powerful and more so than some Lords.

"The Reignhart set us as guardians because we were the weakest of the families when he went to war with the Empire. Of course, he lost, but he was no coward. He fought. But you?

"You are weak. What are you, E or D ranked Refined? So you see, I hate people that stand behind and send people to fight on their behalf, and you smell like that to me. All your teammates are at least strong."

Severin blinked. He couldn't remember the last time someone called him weak. Most people had stopped underestimating him. Even Darius Faulkner took him seriously now.

But he merely raised his brows as he looked at Solari. "OK."

"Eh?" Solari asked in surprise.

Severin shrugged. "I don't care if you like me or not. It changes nothing. Maybe it would have changed things if things were different, like if you weren't like a shiny toy at the bottom of the sea."

Solari narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"

Severin's lips curled slowly. "I have no need for you, Solari. I'm not looking to impress something that's left behind. You're chained to Isolde for so long that I doubt you even know what war looks like. Why would the opinion of someone like that matter?

"I have tasted blood, Solari. Have you?"

Just as Severin finished speaking, he unleashed a wave of bloodlust that he gained purely through pain and near death. It carried no pressure, only coldness, emptiness, and grief that's left behind after pain.

The guardians, except for Miret, recoiled. Most of the prisoners that were near them flinched back. Only his teammates stood there unmoving.

They had felt it from him before.

But it vanished just as it came and Severin gave a cheerful smile. "Solari, eh? I will remember that name, and then I will take your advice seriously when you make a name for yourself instead of sitting on what's been made by the previous Solari.

"You can take some clue from Miret here."

Miret's eyes widened and he coughed, hiding a smile that everyone saw.

Ravyn and Nyssara looked so shocked they remained speechless, while Vetra had a thoughtful look on her face as she looked at Severin, her eyes gleaming. She thought to herself, '...he is indeed a Reignhart... insane snakes...'
