Just immediately after looking through the screen, Kurtz felt a terrifying thirst came over him, a thirst that could only be quenched by blood.

“Damn, I was so eager to get away from her that I forgot about that.” Kurtz thought as his canines elongated and he clawed through his bed sheet. His throat felt like they were on fire and Kurtz knew this wasn’t reasonable, he wasn’t a vampire, at least not fully so he didn’t even need blood to survive. However, his throat currently felt like it dry hot air was persistently being passed through it, ridding it of any moisture and the system was quite specific that this would be an insatiable thirst.

Kurtz had learnt in a hard way that the system meant whatever it said and without doubt, the next twenty four hours were going to be hellish.

A day later, Kurtz could be seen in his room with every single thing upturned.

The sheets on his bed had been mercilessly ripped through, the furniture broken, several machines disfigured while Kurtz was in the midst of them all, naked and curled into a ball.

“Uh, I am not thirsty anymore.” Kurtz suddenly thought as he felt relief washed through his soul, the maddening thirst had disappeared.

“I guess Boss really meant it when he said this fucking System was both a blessing and a curse.” He grumbled as he slowly stood up and looked around him, he could not help but shake his head in resignation. No matter what, he was still glad and proud that he hadn’t gone rabid and broke out of the house to consume some humans.

“Uh, I guess I can finally have a proper look at my… damn, I chose system upgrade.” Kurtz cursed as he opened the system interface. In his blood thirsty moment, he had tried everything to distract him from that terrifying thirst and playing with the system had been one of them.

Not, only had he chose system upgrade but he had also used his free point to increase his agility, while the first choice had been completely random, Kurtz’s subconscious seems to have made some reasonable choice concerning the stat attribution, as he was really going to increase his agility stat anyway.

“Now, where are the new features, you fucking system?” Kurtz thought as he found nothing different in the system.

[The system is still in the process of upgrading, this may take as long as 48 hours but the system will still continue its normal functioning regardless]

The system replied Kurtz and he sneer before seeing a blinking white dot, “oh, Boss is calling, let him through immediately.” Kurtz ordered the system.

“Your journey is arranged Kurtz, I will forwards all information to you and don’t forget you will be leaving in two days.” The Boss stated.

“Well, that is a good news isn’t it, I should start packing my luggage.” Kurtz muttered with bright face.

“Maybe not, Linda actually says to tell you that she finally made a breakthrough with the Blood Synthesis.” The Boss spoke before ending the call while Kurtz stood in place, his eyes as wide as saucers.

“Yes!” He screamed before shooting out of his room.

Three days later…

Kurtz stared on at the cloud floating on to the sides as he sat in a small air carrier. By his side, a woman sat manning the carrier.

Suddenly, the carrier approached a large spiraling circle in the sky and flew right into it, then his gaze changed greatly.

“So this is the portal leading back to the Underworld.” Kurtz thought as he looked at the sky.

It was almost the same, just that while the sky around him seems to be covered wholly in darkness, the sky to his right slowly brightened and a large sun could be seen in the distance, day and night were visible all at once and Kurtz was greatly mesmerized.

“I am curious, why are you going to the Underworlds?” the woman driving the carrier suddenly asked as she turned to stare at Kurtz by her side, “…and why chose the Blood Kingdom of all options?” she added.
