Evan stares at the panel in front of him in barely concealed surprise, mixed with anxiousness.

He has never seen anything like this before. The warning itself looked ominous by itself. How come it has so many data expunged? What does that even mean?

'It means that the information was scrubbed clean and taken away.' Iva replied, though its tone of voice at the moment seems more thoughtful.

There was no trace of anything playful in Iva's voice. Somehow, Evan could tell that Iva was thinking about something, which it does not make any sense.

Iva is nothing but a voice in his head at the moment.

That is all it is to him until he finds out what Iva actually is.

Irreparable damage is what Evan is hung up on and the reboot time. He doesn't know what the others contained but they are important.

Not only that but the fact that it is given freely to him as the reward when it requires a higher level requirement that is also unlisted.

What is happening? Evan has no clue. He thinks he had no clue from the very beginning.

The thing that he has now is curiosity and fear mixing into an incorrigible soup.

'There are so many downsides before you even know what the others are. I would immediately assume that those were scrubbed away because it is even worse than what was listed!' Iva exclaimed.

Iva seems to have taken a suspicion that Evan will be answering positively despite the drawbacks.

Which Evan would. Just for the sake of his curiosity.

"But I won't know until I agree." Evan countered. "The only thing that is making me take a second to agree is about the reboot really."

'Then just reject it outright!' Iva replied.

To Evan, Iva seems like the voice of his rational brain. Although he isn't a reckless child, he is not afraid of going head first to danger if it means he will get his answers.

And he wants to get his answers.

"Yes."

One word was all it took from Evan's lips. Numerous warning notification sounds and warning panels appeared in front of him. All of them were almost saying the same thing.

[ Mistake. ]

[ Careful what you wished for. ]

Wherever Evan turns, all he is seeing is a lot of red and warning everywhere.

Iva is inside his mind, but its voice felt as if it is so far away and he can't hear it.

All he could hear is the same loud and sharp, high-pitched sound he had heard the first time he had gotten the watch.

It felt like his ear is about to bleed. But he held on, not wanting to pass out like he had done so before.

The sound becomes louder and stronger. Even if he covered his ears from the sound, it doesn't let up.

The panels began to disappear, but the things he is seeing around him are a bunch of zeroes and ones. It is littered everywhere, from the walls to the ground. He could tell which part the wall is and the ground, but he can't see them for what they are supposed to be.

He frantically turns around, eyes darting to this and that trying to make sense of what he is seeing. His ears still couldn't hear anything other the screeching sound, and he couldn't hear himself speak, let alone think.

At the height of it all, his young body couldn't take it anymore and he finally passed out.

When Evan came to, he felt like shit. He is lying on the dirty ground. He couldn't open his eyes for a long while, but he could push himself up to sitting position.

He passed out on his stomach, so his chest hurt. He had no idea how long he has been out. It felt like he went into a very long training session and continued training until he dropped from exhaustion.

Then, he slowly opened his eyes.

The sight was different. His surroundings felt brighter than usual. The surroundings seemed like he was standing outside when the midday sun is up and he can see everywhere as far as the eye can see. It felt as if he didn't need the torches at the sides at all anymore.

Evan blinked his eyes a little, trying to make sure that he is not still asleep.

He leans closer to the wall and used it as leverage so he can stand up. Somehow, it feels like he is seeing things differently.

But, he had to go back to the Valrepite manor now. He didn't know how long he had been away, but he would have to return just to be on the safe side.

Other than that he needs to clean. More exploration about his eyes will be done for later instead.

"Status. Map tab." Evan says, as the panel shows up. The panel weirdly looks more translucent than before, and it has some weird curved lines on the border.

But he did not hesitate and instead looked at the fast travel panel.

His eyebrows furrowed a little when he saw the new option after the Lake of Boon. What does that mean?

Evan has been in the in that Underwater Lake of Boon countless of times by now. He has seen all there is to see within in.

What could be new in it?

Evan decided that it would be best to just go there and check what it is.

"Fast Travel, Cave of Underwater Lake of Boon." Evan says.

There is the familiar bright light that envelops him. The only difference from before and now was that it didn't feel disorienting nor does it hurt anymore.

He doesn't even have to close his eyes from the bright light that has threatened to get him blind whenever he tried to keep his eyes open.

There was barely any wait before he found himself to the location he has fast travelled to.

He is back on the side of the Lake of Boon where the solid platform begins. He looks around, knowing that he had exited the cave from this side when he connected the lines.

Speaking of which, the line he had wrote is still on the ground. It is not in the same orange shade as the broken pot he had used as a chalk to write the line, but it is now in the shade of blue.

Evan walks to the middle of the platform and a panel appears in front of him. His eyes narrowed a little as he read what it says.

He can absorbed the entire Lake of Boon using his Void ability? He has no idea what this all means. But it is an equal chance of good or bad.

Evan figured that he is already here so he might as well accept it. He didn't really want to go back and forth using fast travel every time. It doesn't hurt anymore, sure, but he didn't need have to keep coming here for no reason.

He has to do a lot of training with Sir Theobald in the mornings and afternoons too.

"Yes." Evan says out loud.

The panel in front of him changed to something like a loading screen.

Progress can be seen moving slowly from left to right. Evan stares at it. This is the first time he had seen a loading screen. There's always the hope that he manages to get the good one instead of the bad.

He is not going to complain if he got the bad either. All he needed to do was know what it is and then he will use that as a means to make do, whatever it may be.

When the progress bad got to one hundred percent, the panel disappears.

Then, several panels began to appear layer by layer. There are so many of them that the sound overlaps all at the same time too, which sounded much worse from Evan's newfound heightened senses.

Evan's Void, Detect Ability and Danger Sense were all maxed out. For what level they are now, Evan has no clue. But those were the first one he saw. When he exits the panel in front of him. He saw that he also has new abilities he didn't get from a blank book.

Did he just manage to get the good result!?
