Chapter 496: Potential new enemies and a request
"Are we going to be the target of multiple races?" Idan was very surprised to hear Geminia's warning.
"Yes, that's right," Geminia confirmed. "I won't hide it, to reach a level like mine, it's not enough just to sit in one place and listen to birds singing."
"Everyone who strives for excellence needs experience, communication, insight, trials and battles," Geminia continued. "Over the course of our lives, each of us finds loved ones, friends, allies and enemies. All my friends and allies who are still alive are here in Limbo, and my enemies..."
"Are they in Junonia?" interrupted Idan, already guessing.
"Yes," Geminia confirmed, nodding. "And, to be honest, the path that I went through was hard and bloody. I left a lot of corpses behind me, and I had a lot of enemies."
"As you already know, I have reached my current rank, and my enemies, respectively, are also at my rank or slightly lower, but they are significantly superior to you in strength." Geminia slightly scared Idan with her words. "All of them are not ordinary creatures, and when they see the doppelgangers, they will not immediately, but sooner or later they will connect them with me."
Idan was somewhat worried about the prospect of encountering powerful new races as enemies. However, he had already signed a contract with Ned and wasn't going to give it up because of this warning.
"Before you let your sister and the others form a contract with Perfect Doppelgangers, warn them. Let them know what they're doing." Geminia decided to warn them, not wanting Idan and Arabel to come to her later and complain that she hadn't warned them in advance if something happened to their friends in the future.
"Okay, I'll let them know about it and warn them. Thank you for the information." Idan nodded, thanking Geminius for warning him in advance.
Geminia was right: He and Arabel could easily hide the Doppelgangers by calling them back to their Stars, but the others couldn't.
Milica and the other Limbo women were powerful beings and could stand up for themselves. But the others don't.
After the conversation ended, Geminia disappeared, leaving Idan alone with his thoughts.
It turned out to be a long conversation, and Idan was sure that Sierra was about to run out of time and she would be here soon.
Idan himself was in no hurry to return to his territory.
"Even before we joined Junonia, we had several potential enemies," Idan sighed inwardly. "Among them are the Legendary Vampire, the Valkyrie race, and the Alpha race. And now Geminia's enemies have joined them."
Idan sighed again.
The Legendary Vampire was a potential enemy because of baby Rizzy and Nemo.
The Valkyries are because of Arabel's bloodline.
And the Alphas are because of his own Alpha bloodline.
As far as Idan knew, these higher races were unlikely to leave them alone if they found out that the couple had their bloodlines.
And now there are Geminia's enemies, who have appeared because of their contract with the Doppelgangers.
Idan shook his head, trying to forget about potential problems for the moment.
First of all, he found the Lovers' Plate and sent it inside the territory, asking the System to remind Arabel of her appearance.
Remembering that he had previously been able to look inside the spatial storage by using his Soul Force on the ring, Idan realized that he had never tried to see what was happening inside his territory after combining with the core of the spatial storage.
To satisfy his curiosity, Idan focused his Soul Force on the ring and looked inside. As he expected, Idan could actually observe what was happening in the territory. However, what he saw seemed strange to him.
Because of the time difference, everything inside was happening at an accelerated pace. But that wasn't the strangest thing. Idan found that the longer he looked, the faster his Soul Force was used up.
"Unlike the spatial storage, I can't watch for long. But that should be enough time to chat with Arabel," he thought, dissipating his Soul Force.
In that short time, Idan caught a glimpse of Arabel still talking to her younger brother Arslan, while the other women were inside their house.
While waiting for Arabel to finish talking to her younger brother and be able to address him through the Lovers' Plate, Idan decided to look for Alois and Liam.
After leaving the Temple, he saw several tents set up and strangers sitting around campfires. His sudden exit from the Temple caused surprise among many.
"Idan?" he heard a familiar voice and, turning in that direction, saw those he was looking for.
Smiling at the sight of old acquaintances, Idan headed towards them.
They, in turn, were very surprised to see Idan. They had heard that the couple had found a way to return to their world, and they could also return here at any moment.
But what struck them the most was Idan's outward changes. He had changed a lot since they had last seen him.
"It's been a long time, Mr. Alois and Liam," Idan greeted.
"Is that really you?" asked Liam, peering intently at Idan.
"Of course it's me. Have you really forgotten how I look in the time that we haven't seen each other?" asked Idan, laughing.
"No, of course not," Liam shook his head. "It's just that you've changed a lot."
Alois, who was sitting in silence, nodded, agreeing with his disciple's words.
Only then did Idan remember that the last time he had seen them was before his amazing transformation after acquiring his Spirit Form.
"Ahem," Idan cleared his throat, "A lot has happened since we've been apart. As you can see, I've even reached the Golden Rank."
Not only Alois, but also the others present were attentively studying Idan's changed appearance.
"Mr. Alois, I've been looking for you to ask for advice in the field of Swordsmanship," feeling somewhat awkward, Idan decided to get straight to the point of his visit. "If it's not difficult for you, could you help me?"
Alois, hearing Idan's request, felt a surge of inspiration. He recalled the short time he had spent with this couple from another world, and noted their skill in controlling both Aura and mana.
If it wasn't for the fact that they already had a Master, he would have immediately invited these two to become his disciples along with Liam. Therefore, when Idan asked for advice, Alois, of course, could not refuse.
"Okay, I don't mind," Alois replied.
Liam was surprised by both Idan's request and his master's agreement to this request.
Idan was very happy that Alois agreed to give him some advice.
He wanted to find them to learn more about the Path of Mastery. Or to be more precise, about the Path of Sword, which he and Arabel possess, but which they know almost nothing about. Idan hoped to fill in this gap, learn how to use his sword properly, and finally begin to unlock the unknown potential of the Sun Sword Style given to him by the System.
