Chapter 425: A gift for an older sister
Idan and Arabel noticed how the others looked at them after Idan explained about the differences between the Beast Soul and the Star and that he had a chance to revive Ned.
"I can see by your faces that you want to ask," Idan said, realizing that in their place he probably would have been wondering the same question.
"The Manual that Belle and I have shared with you is not inferior to what we have. However, ours is a little different, and as much as we would like to, we can't share it with you."
"Yes," Arabel nodded, confirming Idan's words.
"Unlike the "Path of Beast Tamer" Manual, which describes in detail how to form the Beast Souls and how you can develop them yourself, Dan and I cannot do this with our Stars. We simply don't have a Manual to follow."
"Then how do you develop your Stars?" Eulalia asked, while the older women were deep in thought.
"Is your 'Taming' ability also related to the power behind your ability to wield multiple bloodlines at once?" — Milica finally asked.
Idan and Arabel were surprised by this question, but after looking at each other, they quickly nodded, confirming her assumption. Upon seeing this, Sierra and Lucinda immediately realized that it also had to do with their secret, which the couple had always tried to keep secret.
All the women, except Eulalia, sighed with disappointment.
They understood that everyone had their own secrets, but in their opinion, this couple from another world had too many secrets, and it was starting to annoy them a little.
"By the way, did the blonde bother you?" — Idan heard an unexpected question from Arabel through their mental link. "She didn't try to seduce you?"
"What are you talking about?" asked Idan, trying not to show his emotions. The moment when he appeared naked in front of Lucinda flashed through his mind.
Idan decided to keep quiet and not mention this moment.
"You know what I mean," Arabel said, looking into his eyes. She had her strange smile on her face, which sometimes made him shiver.
Idan swallowed hard, but quickly regained his composure. There was nothing going on between him and Lucinda, so he had nothing to worry about.
He didn't even try to flirt with Lucinda when they were alone, so as not to give her the wrong hints.
Moreover, Idan had no thoughts of chasing other women at all. Although he has recently noticed that there are too many beautiful women in his environment.
And it began to seriously bother him.
"Nothing happened," Idan replied confidently, looking into Arabel's eyes.
Upon hearing this, Arabel's smile quickly returned to its usual sweet and joyful form.
"By the way, have you spun the lottery yet?"— Idan remembered and decided to ask Arabel.
"Yes, I have already spun it," Arabel replied, but then her voice became more restrained. "I won a coupon for the free formation of one Star."
"Is the validity period 15 days?" asked Idan, and Arabel nodded.
"And you? What did you get?" she asked.
"A coupon to unlock the free Bloodline slot," Idan happily announced.
"Oh!" Arabel exclaimed in surprise, and her eyes shone. "How lucky you are! As far as I know, the next slot is worth 5,000 System Points."
"While forming a third Star only costs 1,000 System Points," Arabel murmured softly.
"But look at it this way, Belle," Idan caught Arabel's attention. "You can spend System Points to create a third Star, and then, as I understand it, you will have to create the First Constellation of Three Stars."
Arabel nodded. After receiving the coupon, she immediately checked the next steps in the "Beast Taming" function.
"Here's how to proceed: first pay 1,000 System Points to create a third Star and sign a third contract. After that, immediately use the coupon and create the First Constellation of Three Stars. Fortunately, unlike others, we don't have to wait for our Stars to stabilize after signing a contract. The system will do everything for us, so we won't have to wait."
"Listen, Dan, what if I spend the System Points to create the First Constellation? After all, it costs only 2 thousand System Points. Should I use the coupon to form the fourth Star?" Arabel asked.
"Belle, this is unlikely to work," Idan shook his head. "Am I right, System?"
[Host, you need to reach the Platinum rank to form the fourth Star.]
Arabel's mood immediately soured.
"Only 2,000 System Points," she once again estimated the value of her coupon.
After completing his brief and secret conversation with Arabel, Idan turned to the others.
"By the way, I'd like to discuss something important with you," he began, drawing the attention of others.
"But before we get down to business, I'd like to ask: where are our things?" he asked, and Milica, Eulalia, and Sierra looked at Arabel at the same time.
"I have them all," Arabel replied as soon as Idan turned to her.
"Are they still there?" asked Idan, and Arabel tilted her head to the side, trying to figure out what he was talking about.
"Creatures of darkness and light, — Idan clarified, and Arabel's eyes lit up, just like Sierra's when she heard those words. And Lucinda, hearing them, pricked up her ears.
"Yes, they didn't escape. While we were unconscious, the spheres in which they were imprisoned did not disintegrate and are still securely holding them," she quickly replied. "It's amazing that the spatial storage and even the magic bags don't recognize them as living beings."
"Well? What are you waiting for?" asked Idan with a smile.
"Well...", — Arabel glanced at Sierra, whose eyes were shining with anticipation. "... it was you who captured the creature of darkness after you killed Erza."
"Haha, so what? I caught this creature, keeping in mind that you promised Sierra that if you succeed, you will get it," Idan replied.
"Thank you," Arabel said, giving Idan a quick peck on the cheek. She wanted to kiss him on the lips, but at the last moment she restrained herself slightly.
Then she took out a Sphere of Light from one of the magic bags where all their belongings were stored. Inside this sphere was a creature of darkness that had previously belonged to Erza.
"What about the creature of Light?" Arabel asked Idan, using their mental link. She noticed that Lucinda was curious. "Don't you want to get it yourself?"
"Let's put that aside for now," Idan replied. "First, we need to understand how this creature of darkness will affect Sierra, Valkyrie. We can find out from Sierra how useful it can be for them. If its benefits are significant, then it will be possible to transfer the creature of Light to Lucinda."
Idan glanced at Lucinda.
"I don't really need this creature of Light yet," he confessed. "And Lucinda, although not as close to us as Esma and Sierra, still helped us. I think it's better for us to strengthen our relationship with her. I have a feeling that we will have a lot of clashes with the Valkyries in the future when we start to be active in Junonia."
"You're right," Arabel nodded, agreeing with Idan's opinion.
She then handed the Sphere of Light to Sierra.
"Here, Big Sister, is a creature of Darkness," she said, handing over the Sphere. "Try to establish a connection with it."
"Ha ha ha, thank you, little sister," Sierra said, unable to hide her joy at accepting such a wonderful gift from Arabel.
Last time, Sierra had said those words, not really hoping that Arabel would be able to get a second such creature. She hadn't even imagined that Idan and Arabel would actually succeed. And not only that, they also found another being, the opposite of the creature of darkness, the creature of Light.
Sierra wasn't stupid, and she understood roughly what the couple was thinking. Before trying to establish a connection with the creature of Darkness, she looked at Lucinda and smiled at her. Lucinda frowned when she saw this smile, but then noticed that it wasn't the smile that usually appeared on Sierra's face when she was plotting something.
Returning her gaze to the creature trapped in the sphere of light, Sierra, enveloping the entire sphere with her power of darkness, broke it, freeing the creature from captivity.
