"Hmm... a coupon for unlocking one slot for the Bloodline function for free?" Idan was pleasantly surprised when this was what fell out of the lottery of free coupons.

As he and Lucinda flew back to the Temple in the Forest of Doppelgangers, Idan remembered an additional reward — one spin of the lottery of free coupons. As far as he could remember, this was the fourth lottery for him.

The first lottery was the lottery of "Bloodlines". The second was a "random" lottery. He played the third lottery after killing Kraus. It was a lottery of special awards related to its four active functions. In that lottery, Idan won a Mysterious Dark Egg related to the "Beast Taming" function.

"System, with this coupon, can I unlock my third slot for free, without using System Points?" said Idan, referring to the System.

[Yes, Host, that's right.] — came the reply.

[Host, would you like to receive the coupon immediately or would you prefer to wait?] — the System asked, taking into account that the spatial storage of the Hosts was destroyed. Usually, the System automatically sent all the items they bought and received to the storage, securely hiding them from prying eyes.

"Hold on to the coupon for now," Idan said. He was currently flying with Lucinda, and he didn't have a magic bag with him.

[Host, this System reminds you that the free coupon has a limited validity period. If you do not use it before the end of this period, it will be cancelled.]

"15 days, huh? Not bad," he nodded to himself. "System, if it's not a secret, what other coupons were in the lottery?"

Idan thought about it.

Almost all the coupons listed by the System were welcome to him. But the most valuable of them, he decided, was a coupon to unlock an additional slot for the function.

"At the moment, we have four active functions: two non-replaceable and two replaceable. It would be nice to get a fifth," Idan thought.

Then Idan remembered what he had already received, and after a little thought, he was satisfied anyway.

"There is about a month left before the third disaster, and after it, it will be possible to pass the Ascension Test and reach the Platinum Rank. I remember the System saying that when we reach this rank, we will get two additional slots for functions," Idan recalled.

"I wonder if Arabel managed to draw the lottery? And if so, what did she get?" Idan began to wonder.

Lucinda flew with incredible speed, and they quickly reached the border of the Doppelganger Forest without stopping. As soon as they entered forest territory, a mysterious force enveloped them, which then disappeared without a trace, allowing them to continue their journey unhindered, without limiting their ability to fly.

As Idan flew over the forest, he noticed a group of adventurers who were trying to find out more about those who had conquered this Forbidden zone. From the stories of Milica and others, Idan realized that information about this was still being kept secret from outsiders. The locals were aware, but on the orders of Limbo's Mind, they did not share this information, even with the Adventurer Guild.

Lucinda and Idan quickly overcame first the outer layer, and then the middle one. As soon as they reached the boundaries of the central layer, a mysterious force enveloped them again, but this time they were teleported directly to the entrance of the Temple.

"Okay, okay, I agree. Make a list of necessary items, and I'll bring you plenty of them," Arabel said, stepping forward energetically before Lucinda and Idan could cross the threshold of the Temple. "But in return, you don't have to tell Dan anything about these items. Not even hints, okay? Especially you, elder Eulalia."

"Hints about what?" asked Idan, entering the temple. Arabel, who was standing with her back to him, suddenly froze, while the others—Sierra, Eulalia, and Miliсa—watched her reaction with a slight smile.

"Oh, Dan," Arabel exclaimed, turning quickly and looking at him.

Arabel studied him closely and, seeing that he was unharmed and in a great mood, was slightly surprised. Arabel had assumed that Idan would be depressed over Ned's death. She didn't know yet that Idan had found a way to save him.

"Is something wrong?" asked Idan, approaching her with his usual smile on his face.

Arabel shook her head quickly.

"Are you all right?" she asked, still a little confused.

"Me? I feel great," Idan replied. "How are you?"

"I'm fine," Arabel said. After a short silence, she finally decided to talk about Ned. "Dan, about Ned..."

"Ah, Belle, — Idan finally realized why Arabel was acting so strangely. "Don't worry about Ned. He didn't die completely. There are great chances to bring him back to life."

"What? Really?" — Arabel was startled by Idan's unexpected confession.

"Yes, it's true," Idan nodded confidently.

"It's just wonderful!" — Arabel exclaimed, rushing to Idan and hugging him. Idan, in turn, tenderly returned her embrace.

While they were standing in an embrace in full view of everyone, a woman in black with long black hair appeared next to them.

"Is what you just said true?" asked Geminia, staring intently at Idan.

"Yes," Idan nodded.

He then talked about the differences in his and Arabel's paths of Beast Taming. He explained how the Beast Soul differs from the Stars, and shared a way to save a lost contracted creature that is connected to their Stars.

"This method is similar to resurrecting legendary vampires through their insurance," Milica remarked, and the others nodded in agreement.

Idan recalled Rizzy's origin and thought that the way to resurrect Ned was indeed similar to this method.

When Geminia found out that Ned could be brought back to life, her mood instantly changed. Some of the gloom that used to reign around her has disappeared, and she has regained her usual light and relaxed appearance.

It seemed that the mourning she had been wearing in recent days was behind her.
