Chapter 2303: A Battle Outside the City

"The army marches out of the city!" Following Peter Brown's command, the city gate swung open, and all of Peter Brown's soldiers streamed out continuously.

After leaving the city, Peter Brown arranged for an army of two hundred and seventy thousand to begin forming.

When Joseph Cooper was planning to attack the city, he didn't expect Peter Brown to have already moved the army out of the city.

Looking at Peter Brown's over two hundred thousand soldiers forming formation, Joseph Cooper felt a sense of disbelief.

"Is he seeking a decisive battle?" Joseph Cooper asked.

"Indeed, Marshal, judging from their formation, it appears they plan to fight outside the city."

"But!"

Joseph Cooper wanted to mention the opponent's fewer soldiers, glanced at the city wall, seemed to have an epiphany, and sighed, "It seems they know defending the city is untenable. Although we suffered the greatest losses in yesterday's battle, they didn't fare well either. If it continues like this, Ling Distant City won't hold."

"The Marshal is correct. It seems they have no choice but to force us into a decisive battle."

"Hmph, they've got some courage, but it's a pity their army is too small. Order the entire army to form up; I demand a decisive battle!"

After his order was issued, the troops likewise moved forward and began forming a formation.

At a glance, Peter Brown's side was certainly weak, incomparable to the vast army of over a million troops.

Seeing the situation on Peter Brown's side, Joseph Cooper also smiled and said, "We are bound to win this battle."

"Marshal, how shall we fight?" asked a deputy general.

Joseph Cooper laughed heartily and said, "Against overwhelming power, no scheme is effective. We possess absolute strength. No need for courtesy, just crush them directly. That's my command."

Joseph Cooper paused briefly and then shouted, "Charge, entire army!"

Before overwhelming power, Joseph Cooper had no intention of engaging in any fair duels. In his view, Peter Brown merely hoped to weaken his power, and he wouldn't send individual generals for duels, opting instead for a direct crush.

Peter Brown stood and watched the approaching army, listening to the earth-shaking noise, smiling as well.

He knew the opponent would attack in this manner, a strategy any standard army would fear due to the strength disparity. However, it held little significance for Peter Brown.

"Consecutive Formation, charge with me!"

Peter Brown swiftly ordered a formation change, disinclined to engage in anything else; his aim now was to charge swiftly.

As he began the formation change, he ordered the flag bearers to change their flags' colors.

As soon as the flags changed, the previously orderly Foreign Tribe Army suddenly became chaotic, resulting in mutual slaughter.

The Genetic Warriors, modified by Peter Brown, hidden among the various forces, suddenly initiated a strike.

There were twenty-two thousand of them, and this sudden strike was significant.

With their assassinations everywhere, individuals began to fall.

Furthermore, they proceeded to the rear, slaughtering along the way.

At this moment, Peter Brown led his army forth in a charge.

Seeing the Genetic Soldiers had separated, Peter Brown released talismans from his hand.

Instantly, flames surged in front, with screams echoing everywhere.

The Consecutive Formation transformed, and Peter Brown penetrated from another place.

Then he released another talisman.

Thus, Peter Brown led his army, weaving through and releasing talismans simultaneously.

In front of their army, there was simply no opponent.

Whenever strong foes appeared, Peter Brown would release a talisman.

Chaos reigned!

Joseph Cooper never expected his subordinates to betray him. Seeing his previously organized army thrown into chaos, he was dumbfounded.

This betrayal was not only about twenty-two thousand of his own troops; the chaos they caused was severe, and more clueless soldiers lost trust. Panic on their faces, none dared to resist Peter Brown's army.

Amidst the chaos, Peter Brown's Consecutive Formation began gathering those foreign Genetic Soldiers, who returned after causing turmoil.

Originally, Peter Brown had only twenty-seven thousand troops, but with the return of twenty-two thousand Genetic Warriors, his force grew to forty-nine thousand.

Such a large army faced Joseph Cooper's chaotic million troops, and now Joseph Cooper's army had lost much combat effectiveness, being encircled and slaughtered by Peter Brown's forces.

Genetic Soldiers managed almost a one-on-one assassination. After this first strike, twenty-two thousand were instantly downed. Following was a second strike; though his troops were prepared, over ten thousand more were killed. Thus, Joseph Cooper's forces lost roughly thirty thousand, mostly elite soldiers, crippling his army's soul.

Peter Brown then intensified his talisman attacks with army charges, cooperating twofold to slaughter their way through, taking down over twenty thousand.

Over five hundred thousand losses!

Facing such losses, Joseph Cooper's million troops had already lost half their fighting strength.

In contrast, Peter Brown's side surged with the united forces, and forty thousand plus Genetic Soldiers overwhelmed the foreign generals and soldiers.

Occasionally releasing a talisman, even more, demoralized any desire to fight.

"Ah!"

Joseph Cooper finally snapped back, assessing his side's army, realizing it had lost its combat abilities at first glance.

Is this my army?

Joseph Cooper found it hard to believe what had transpired.

"Die!"

In a fury, Joseph Cooper lunged toward Peter Brown, thinking his last chance was eliminating the opposing commander.

Unfortunately, Joseph Cooper had no power to confront Peter Brown; Peter Brown released a fire talisman directly.

With deep resentment, Joseph Cooper was extinguished in the flames instantly.

Seeing Joseph Cooper fall, those resisting lost their will to fight.

They each raised their hands in surrender.

It ended!

Observing the victory, Peter Brown could only shake his head. This was completely a battle on two different levels; Joseph Cooper's army stood no match against his Genetic Soldiers.

Nonetheless, this major battle concluded. Seeing the massive number of captives taken away, Peter Brown considered increasing his forces further.
