Chapter 432: Beginning of the end (1)

In a room where light could not reach, an old man with a beard as long as his chest and pristine white hair that matched his white suit sat in the middle of the room with his eyes closed and his breath steady.

But, only he could be seen in that darkness, nothing else. He shone as if he were a bead of light in the world of darkness, an angel who let out a gentle light that served to make the world brighter.

Soon, his glow began to cover the entire room. After about ten minutes, the entire room was now shining in bright white light. The pristine and white walls were without a stain. Nothing could be seen in the room from the furniture or decoration.

However, these weren't the striking aspects about the room. What was most interesting was the lineup of corpses neatly piled up in front of the old man.

A corpse of a handsome young man, followed by another corpse of a man with exquisite features, and then a rather fat man who was very, very ugly. Next to him was a girl with features to make a man forget about the fear of god. Next to her were the two bodies of two more men who were unbearably handsome as well.

All of them were clean and pristine, with not a blemish on their bodies and dressed in pure white robes.

Even their bodies shone with a glow that served to illuminate the already luminous room. Among them, the body of the woman shone the brightest, signifying her specialty over the rest of the bodies.

The old man slowly opened his eyes and looked at the empty space before him before he stood up on his feet, his tall and muscular body denying his withering age.

He knelt down in a kowtow position until his head was on the ground as if he were a commoner greeting the king.

"I greet his majesty, the Holy Emperor of the Central Plains." The old man said in a robust and precise voice, once again defying his old age.

"Raise your head, Bang Yu." A voice, a voice that incurred the inherent fear of a human being came from nowhere and everywhere. The old man, Bang Yu, couldn't tell where the voice was coming from. Whether his ears were picking it up or the voice was directly being transmitted to his mind.

He didn't know. All he knew was that it was just another wonder of his master.

"I have longed to hear your voice, my king." Bang Yu raised his head but still remained on his knees.

"Haha." A gentle chuckle resounded as the man who spoke like a stream of flowers simply said, "You should say such things to a woman, Bang Yu."

"Have you been married yet?" The man asked in his gentle voice.

"I have been too busy to focus on the trivial matters of life, my king." Bang Yu replied.

"Those are not trivial moments. Take it from me, having a woman you love and children to brighten your days is the greatest feeling in one's life." The gentle and soothing voice came.

"..." Bang Yu, however, remained quiet. When the topic of the man's children was brought up, he knew he would have to tread carefully beyond that point.

"What happened to my children, Bang Yu?" The man asked.

"Imprisoned. Betrayed by the very people they helped to confine to throw you off your throne." Bang Yu replied with slight anger in his voice.

"Do not hate my children, Bang Yu. They were just sweet youngsters, too focused on the ideal life of justice to know what was truly at stake." The man defended his children even now, and that enraged Bang Yu even more. Still, since his master had asked him to forget his grudge against his children, who was Bang Yu to question that order?

"I see you have prepared a gift for me." The man once again said, diverging from the topic.

"Yes, my king. Six children of destiny. The apostles of the very ones who imprisoned you." Bang Yu said.

"And the one who killed them all?" The man asked.

"Forgive me, my king. But I do not have any insights into him. All I know is that for some reason, he can kill them. The divine protection around the apostles doesn't protect them from him." Bang Yu explained to the best of his ability.

"In a world of a perfect program, a glitch. He must be an outsider. That must be the requirement." The man said before he corrected himself, "Or would an 'Invader' be the correct term?"

"He indeed is an unexpected variable." Bang Yu said.

"Mmm." The man mused for a while before he asked, "And what of the Supremes?"

"They still cower in fear of you, my king." Bang Yu replied.

"Haha." The man chuckled softly before he got to the main issue, the instructions for what Bang Yu had to do now, "Get in touch with the invader. Try to entice him. Bring him to our side if possible."

"And if he doesn't?" Bang Yu asked.

"Well, you cannot kill him, that's for sure. He is the only one capable of killing the children of destiny after all." The man said before he added, "Just assist him as you see fit."

"Understood, my king." Bang Yu replied before suddenly, the glow in the room flickered. As if a light bulb had been cut off from the power supply for a moment due to a glitch. For a moment, the darkness of the room returned as it was before.

"Oh. It looks like time for our meeting is nearing its end." The man said in his gentle voice.

"Before I go, Bang Yu," The man said before he asked, "What of the eldest?"

"..." Bang Yu truly remained silent this time. Among his lord's children, he didn't think anyone was worthy of being called his kin, but there was one, just one, who had the potential to surpass his king. He was the sole reason the Supremes had managed to imprison his master in the first place.

"The eldest prince's whereabouts are unknown, my king." Bang Yu replied. He was unaware of the eldest prince's whereabouts. There was no information about him after the world turned against him and sought to imprison him along with his siblings.

The world would have seen a second calamity had the rest of the siblings not voluntarily entered their prisons, stopping their eldest brother from destroying everything.

"Haa..." The man sighed, for the first time, as if he was plagued with an issue he couldn't resolve. "My eldest was always a bit rash."

'Rash?' Bang Yu couldn't help but think of the calm and collected eldest prince whom the entire world feared, even him and the king's three guards.

"I know what you're thinking but he was quite rash when it came to his family. I don't know how he managed to control himself, or if he did so in the first place." The man said.

"Find him, Bang Yu." The man relayed another piece of order before he said, "He would do anything to save his siblings. For that, we must join forces."

"Forces with the first prince?" Bang Yu couldn't help but ask.

"I know what you're thinking. He despises me for what happened in the past, sure, but he would want his siblings to be freed as well. For that goal, we stand on the same side. You can expect his cooperation despite the hate he has towards me." The man said before the flickering got intense.

The bodies on the floor began to rise and vanish into nothingness.

"Find a vessel. You know what to do." The man said.

"I do, my king." Bang Yu replied before he kowtowed once again and remained in that position until the room didn't turn back to its dark self.

Opening his eyes, Bang Yu simply said, "Wei Jun Ruan."

In a dark space, a place of endless darkness, underneath a spot that was the only spot with light, a man sat on a cold steel chair in front of a table while on the other side sat another man.

In the corner, a skinny man trembled in fear as he looked at the first man, who was dressed in a white suit, his hair pitch black and so were his eyes, his ethnicity asian, and the most striking feature about him wasn't his handsomeness as one would think, but the white glow surroundings his body.

The natural aura emitted from the man instilled fear in both of the men in the space, even the one across the table who had a calm look on his face.

But he wasn't calm in the least. Looking at the notifications in his view, he couldn't help but be on guard even though he was in a space where he couldn't be killed.

"So," The second man who had pitch black hair, pitch black eyes, a sense of dread around him as if he walked the path of despair and chaos, and dressed in a black suit, asked, "You're the overseer?"

"Allow me to introduce myself, host." The man in the white suit smiled and replied in a smooth voice that Wei Jun was well familiar with, "I am the overseer of this dimension, Si Jie."
