Chapter 2: SPOP Chapter 2 Wing Chun Ye Wen
The moment those words echoed in his mind, the system interface erupted in a scarlet swirl. Then, Rojen saw a serious-looking man, dressed in simple clothes and holding his hands, step forward toward him. In an instant, the man seemed to merge with his body.
"Buzz."
Rojen's mind buzzed and in the blink of an eye, he felt as if he had become a completely different person.
It felt as if he had been practicing martial arts since childhood, spending every day and night training with a wooden dummy, refining his steps, honing his swordsmanship, spearmanship, fist techniques, and kicking methods. In the end, he had become a first-generation martial arts master.
He had defeated the Japanese army chief, traveled to Shanghai, and founded the Wing Chun martial arts school.
In a daze, Rojen transformed into Ye Wen. He inherited all of Ye Wen's martial arts philosophies and could even understand every little detail of Ye Wen's life, no matter how big or small.
"Who wants to report justice? Home keeps the heart, and martial arts becomes a school!"
This was Ye Wen, a martial arts master with immense achievements and profound martial arts knowledge.
Within a split second, Rojen's expression turned serious. His gaze became sharp, radiating authority.
"What's wrong with him? He seems like a different person all of a sudden!"
The people following him noticed the change and spoke in confusion.
"Forget about him, catch him. The bounty will be enough to last us a lifetime."
"Charge! Catch him! A lifetime of riches!"
The crowd grew excited, all raising their swords and rushing toward Rojen.
With a step forward, Rojen positioned the little girl behind him. His face was stern and he spoke with authority: "To be blinded by money and attack your teacher's younger brother - this is injustice!"
"In the past, you all followed my elder brother as your old boss, but now you turn against me - this is disloyalty!"
"You who are disloyal and unjust! I will not hold back against you!"
With that, Rojen took a large step forward, spreading his arms wide and standing directly in front of the crowd.
"This boy is crazy to think he can challenge us all by himself!"
"Who doesn't know his strength in Loguetown? Hurry and catch him."
The sword-wielding men laughed, their eyes filled with contempt.
But the next moment, as they swung their swords at him, they were stunned.
A sword came at him from the left, but Rojen shifted his foot, his body moving gracefully. His elbow shot up and caught the man's nose with a sharp blow. Blood spurted out instantly. Then he lowered his elbow and aimed at the man's chest.
"Bang!"
The man collapsed and trembled before losing the ability to fight and groaned in pain.
The scene shocked everyone in the area. Was this really the same Rojen who seemed to be completely helpless? Those two quick and precise blows had knocked out one of their own.
At that moment, Rojen extended his right hand and curled his fingers inward, motioning for them to come. "Come on, continue!"
"Mad, this kid is crazy!"
The crowd was enraged, raising their swords and charging at him.
In an instant, a group of attackers appeared in front of Rojen.
His gaze became even more serious, and his movements even faster. Although he had no talent for martial arts, his physical training had never been neglected over the years.
In an instant, he used Ye Wen's Wing Chun technique to counterattack. The five men in front of him were knocked down with blood gushing from their noses as they fell backward.
Although Wing Chun is primarily used for self-defense, the way of martial arts dictates that every strike should be deadly. It is not just for show. When Rojen struck, each blow was aimed at a vital point, instantly shocking everyone around him. The onlookers involuntarily stepped back a few steps.
Rojen saw them retreat, he stopped as well, standing still.
Three breaths later, the people in front of him were panting heavily and after a loud shout, they attacked him again.
At that moment, Rojen's eyes grew fierce and he stepped forward.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
A series of muffled thumps sounded as Rojen stepped forward. With each step, two people fell beside him. After passing through, only those groaning in pain were left.
Some were bleeding from the nose, some had dislocated arms, and others had twisted legs. Rojen showed no mercy - his blows were strong enough to keep these people in bed for more than half a year.
"You... you're not Rojen! Who exactly are you?"
The people lying on the ground looked at Rojen in terror. The Rojen they remembered had never been this strong.
"Wing Chun, Ye Wen!"
Rojen glanced indifferently at the one who had spoken, then turned and grabbed Jinx, quickly leading her away.
In the blink of an eye, the two were out of sight of the crowd.
On their way, Jinx kept looking at Rojen, her eyes filled with confusion.
"What's wrong with you?" Unable to bear Jinx's gaze any longer, Rojen asked.
"You... are you really the Ye Wen of Wing Chun?" Jinx asked dazedly.
"..." Rojen was speechless.
"I am Rojen. That was just me scaring them. Are you really that stupid or are you just pretending?"
"But... I feel like you're different now!" Jinx said, still confused. In fact, in her perception, the Rojen she knew had never had such an imposing manner before.
"You think I'm possessed by a ghost or something?" Rojen rolled his eyes and walked quickly.
By now, Marines were patrolling all over Loguetown, so there was no way for them to go out in the open. They had to use dark alleys to avoid being discovered. It wasted time, but it was much safer.
After winding through the alleys for about fifteen minutes, they were about to exit when a Marine in a hat appeared in front of them.
Both sides froze for a moment, and then their expressions changed drastically.
"Rojen, he's here!" The Marine shouted.
Rojen's face changed and he cursed under his breath, "Damn it," before charging forward. In the blink of an eye, he crossed the ten-meter distance and delivered a sharp blow. The Marine didn't even have time to draw his weapon before he was knocked out.
At that moment, footsteps sounded from the other side of the alley and a group of about ten Marines appeared, clearly spotting Rojen.
"It's Rojen! Open fire!"
The leading Marine gave the order without hesitation.
With no time to turn around, Rojen quickly grabbed the little girl and ran towards the alley they had just come from.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Gunfire rang out, narrowly missing Rojen's feet and causing the walls of the alley to explode with flying debris.
"Quick, let's go! I know another way," Jinx said quickly, her eyes tense but not overly fearful.
Rojen nodded. "Okay!"
With that, Rojen quickly picked up Jinx and ran through the alley.
By the time the team of Marines reached the entrance of the alley, Rojen and Jinx had already disappeared.
"Notify the other teams to patrol this area. They can't have gone far!"
The leader looked deep into the alley and then shouted orders.
