Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 594: A World of Beasts and Monsters

[The World of Gerani]

[Rank IV]

A dimensional circle appeared in the air above a large mountain, and Jason fell from the dimensional circle and landed on the floor with enough force to produce a loud 'boom!'. The moment Jason's feet touched the ground, he felt his entire body grow heavy, and he fell to one knee in shock!

'Holy shit, the gravity is insane!'

Jason grit his teeth in exertion, and he tried getting off the ground, but it took him all of two seconds just to force himself back on his feet. This world was just as bad as the system said it would be. The gravity was so intense that Jason felt like he was carrying multiple buildings on his back at the same time, and the air was so dense that Jason's lungs were working overtime just to make sure there was continuous movement of air. If anyone below TITAN-Rank even tried to take a step into this world, Jason knew that they would be crushed to death without a doubt!

'You have to move. The monster is right behind you.'

Esdath's voice came through Jason's mind, and Jason immediately activated [Camouflage] and vanished at the same moment that the large beast fell from the sky and landed with an even louder 'boom!'. The beast released a loud roar, and Jason put his hand up to his face as he saw an intense snowstorm spreading out from the beast's body and threatening to freeze everything around it! But unlike the other worlds, which were lower-ranked, this Rank IV world was actually fighting back against the beast, so the beast couldn't freeze everything in sight that quickly.

The beast looked around with deep white eyes to try and find Jason, and even though Jason was standing just a few meters away from it, it huffed and let out a breath of annoyance as it began to move in a different direction. Jason let out a silent breath in gratitude when he realised that Esdath's technique had worked. Esdath's Qi technique worked by using Qi to mask the power and presence of the cultivator from any being around it. But the technique wasn't capable of hiding the physical body as well. It was a technique used by assassins, so they never had to worry about people seeing them since they were always moving in the darkness of night.

But Jason knew that leaving his physical body exposed would defeat the entire purpose of using this technique, so he decided to activate the [Camouflage] skill along with the Qi technique, so that he would be able to hide both his physical body as well as his internal energy at the same time. Jason let out a cold breath in a sigh as he watched the beast walking in the opposite direction. Jason would have loved to keep his technique active until he managed to escape from this beast, but Jason knew that it wasn't possible to do that. Jason's Qi was already dropping at a rapid pace, and once it was completely gone, the technique would automatically deactivate.

'And if I use any high-level mana skill, I'll break the technique immediately. With the beast's mana-sensing abilities, the moment this technique goes down, it'll come for me again.'

Jason frowned as he had this thought, and he decided not to bother about that for now. Jason already had a plan in mind, so he just had to keep to it! Jason told the system to point him in the direction of the next Dimensional Tear, and the system came alive.

[The next dimensional Tear is fifty miles North-East of the user's current location.]

'Fifty miles. That's pretty far.'

Jason looked towards the North-East, and he saw that there were three suns shining in the sky from that direction. Normally, fifty miles wouldn't even register as a significant distance to Jason, but with how difficult it was to move and breathe in this world, Jason knew it would be impossible for him to move too quickly unless he wanted to waste all his energy. Jason just put his hands in his pockets to warm them up, and he began moving down the hill and towards the next location.

WOOSH!

Ba-Dump!

But all of a sudden, Jason felt his heart skip a beat as a massive shadow flew over him. Jason looked up in shock, and he felt his eyes widen when he saw a dinosaur-looking creature blocking out the sun as it passed overhead. It was so huge that Jason felt like an ant even from this far away! Jason could only wonder how much larger it would be after it lands. But thankfully, the beast didn't seem to notice Jason due to his camouflage and Qi technique, and Jason watched as the flying monster began moving in the direction that the beast had gone. Jason felt a small grin spreading on his face as he picked up his pace to get out of there quickly. This world was filled with many TITANs that all had territories and hunting grounds, and the fact that the Beast of the Apocalypse was intruding on those hunting grounds wouldn't sit right with any of them.

So right now, Jason knew that the beast was about to face off against another territorial TITAN-Rank monster, and even if the beast somehow managed to get out of the fight alive, there was no way it wouldn't be injured by that monster.

CAWW!!!

BOOM!

BUUOOOOHHH!

The sound of a battle beginning echoed from behind Jason, and the snowstorm grew in intensity as the beast released a loud bellowing roar. Jason picked up his speed so he wouldn't get caught up in the fight. Even though Jason was far away from the monster, they were both TITANs, so it wouldn't be difficult for them to unleash an attack that destroys everything for multiple miles.

'I can only hope the flying monster somehow kills that bastard. That would solve all my problems.'

Jason didn't want to get his hopes up, but he couldn't help but hope things would somehow turn out in his favour. Every step Jason took was difficult since it felt like he was trying to fight against a raging river. But since Jason was going downhill, it was a little easier for him to make his way forward. It wasn't until Jason reached the bottom of the hill and began making his way across a large forest that he felt the full force of the intense gravity. Jason was constantly out of breath, and he could feel the chilling cold catching up to him. Every step was a battle in itself, and he had to stay alert while moving through the forest to make sure he didn't run into anything dangerous.

Jason couldn't even think about bringing out one of his subordinates right now since their presence would immediately alert everything in a ten-mile radius to his location. It would defeat the entire purpose of his camouflage, so he had to suffer through the fifty-mile trek on his own.

Somewhere in the twenty-mile mark, Jason could no longer hear the echoes of battle from behind him, and he realised that someone had won. Jason continued walking without bothering to check who came out on top, but the loud bellow of the beast echoed through the landscape after a while, and Jason let out a silent huff as he got his answer. Honestly, Jason couldn't help but smile in amusement at the sheer irony of the situation. He had survived for so long against a beast of his caliber, but other TITAN-Rank beasts couldn't even last ten minutes against it.
