Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 591: The Beast of the Apocalypse II

Far off in the distance, on the outskirts of the large city, a long blue Dimensional Tear opened across the sky. The Dimensional Tear was extremely tall, and it rippled with a powerful blue glow as a wave of white fog constantly flowed out from it! The Dimensional Tear began to widen into a large dimensional Circle, and once the circle was large enough, a gigantic blue hand grabbed the edge and began to pull a body forward.

The user is facing off against an opponent [1] rank above him.

The skill [Survivor] has been activated.

All stats will gain a 10% boost.

Jason didn't even care to check the messages from the system! Instead, he felt an intense shock go through his body as he realised what was coming through the Dimensional Tear.

'You have got to be fucking with me. I'm more than twenty Dimensional Leaps away. How in the world did it find me?'

Jason didn't even need to see the rest of the Beast's body before he realised exactly what this was! It was the Beast of the Apocalypse, and Jason was a hundred percent certain that it had come here for him. The moment the dimensional circle opened, Jason could feel an instantaneous chill spreading out across the entire world! Even though Jason was more than ten kilometers away from the Dimensional Tear, it felt as if he was standing in the center of the Arctic! The Beast continued to pull itself forward as it revealed the rest of its body, and once it set foot on Yortsed, the entire world froze over!

Shink!

It happened in the blink of an eye! The entire landscape of Yortsed was suddenly enveloped in a thick layer of ice that covered everything for miles! A massive snowstorm raged across the landscape and threatened to blow Jason off the roof from the sheer intensity! And when Jason looked down, he felt his eyes widen when he saw that every single person on the street had frozen into solid silver statues!

'Get back into the Alternate Dimension right now!'

Jason sent out a message to all the subordinates he had sent to the castle, but he cursed when he didn't get a response back from them! It was obvious that his subordinates had also frozen solid, and Jason glared at the beast in anger as it finally stepped through the Dimensional Tear and appeared in all its glory! Jason honestly thought that the injury he gave the beast would be enough to take it down, or at least keep it away forever! But from what Jason could see, the cut along the beast's shoulder had completely healed, and it was as if the battle they had didn't even happen.

'Don't tell me this bastard is going to keep chasing me down till the end of the world. If that's the case, then I have to kill it no matter what.'

Jason raised a hand to his face when a sudden gust of wind slammed into him, and he watched as the Beast of the Apocalypse began moving slowly towards the city he was in. Jason quickly sent a message to the system and asked if there was really no information on how to kill this beast, and the system responded immediately.

[The system cannot find any related information in its database. The system is certain that there are multiple mages who have attempted to kill the Beast of the Apocalypse, but there is no indication that any of them succeeded. The most recent attempt was by a mage called J'laen the Conqueror. According to my database, he was a TITAN-Ranked mage who gained recognition by killing many legendary beasts around the Primordial Expanse. After killing most of the dangerous beasts in his Domain, he finally set out to kill the Beast of the Apocalypse, and after a few months, he returned and claimed that he had finally defeated the beast. But only a month later, the Beast returned and killed J'laen as well as everyone in his world. The system does not know if J'laen's claim to have killed the beast was a lie or if he had been telling the truth.]

'So right now I'm fighting against a monster that could be effectively immortal.'

Jason let out a cold breath as he saw the Beast getting closer. At this distance, the beast still couldn't see Jason, but Jason was sure that the moment the Beast laid eyes on him, it would attack immediately! Jason glanced down at all the frozen people once again, and he jumped off the building and began moving towards the edge of the city. Jason really had no intention of causing this much damage to Yortsed, and right now, all thoughts about killing the Prince of Yortsed for what he had done were completely gone! The only thing Jason could think about now was figuring out how to kill that bastard.

Jason knew that injuring the beast wouldn't be enough. The injury that Jason gave it using the [Death's Mirage] had healed completely, so there was no doubt that giving it another injury would be pointless! Jason would have tried taking off the bastard's head, but that wasn't possible because the beast was stronger than Jason. There was no scenario where Jason could imagine himself coming out on top if he faced the beast head-on. That meant that Jason needed to figure out a way to either trap the beast and escape, or he could find a way to exploit its weakness so he could finally kill it. The system didn't have any information on the beast's weaknesses since almost no one knew anything about it, so that meant the best option right now was to find a way to trap the beast somewhere. The only question now was where.

BWOOOOOHHH!

The familiar sonorous roar of the beast echoed through the city, and Jason realised that the beast was already right on top of him. He was running out of time. Jason knew that he could just escape into another world, but that would not solve anything since the beast could just follow him there. No, Jason needed to deal with this bastard right here and now. The air was growing colder, and Jason could feel his natural constitution struggling against the biting chill. It felt like the beast had only grown stronger since the last time Jason faced it, and Jason knew that if he was shivering this much just from being close to it, then any world he tried to escape to would immediately freeze over just like Yortsed.

WOOSH!

A sudden rush of air from behind Jason alerted him to something coming towards him, and Jason turned around sharply and saw a giant boulder the size of a small hill falling on him! Jason immediately summoned the [Death's Mirage] and delivered a perfect vertical slash that split the large boulder in half! The two halves of the boulder fell to either side of Jason, and Jason felt an intense wind slam into his face before his senses screamed at him to dodge!

[King's Substitute] has been activated!

Jason suddenly vanished from where he had been as he switched places with the Bishop-Rank Braga, and Jason reappeared on the other side of the city just in time to hear a massive sonic boom echo through the world as the beast slammed its hand on top of Braga! The ground trembled, and the winds all around grew even fiercer!

[The user's subordinate [Braga] has died.]

[Would the user like to consume mana points to resurrect [Braga]? Yes/No]

The system sent this message, and Jason didn't know if he could ever get used to his subordinates dying so easily. All it took was one hit from the beast, and a Bishop-Rank was crushed to paste!
