Ch. 4
Chapter 4. Conjurer! The Magic Circuits Fully Awakened!
By drawing free-floating wind elements from the air, he could now unleash a spell comparable to a Level 6 superpower: “Updraft.”
At last, Yan possessed the ability to call upon the wind from afar, easily strong enough to flip up a girl’s skirt.
Ahem—
Judging his combat level by whether he could peek at a girl’s underwear was… honestly pretty embarrassing.
Even if he suddenly gained talents far beyond others, that didn’t change the fact that he was still just a “beginner,” still a total “weakling.”
…
No one knew his magic was red—no one except the five-and-a-half-year-old Giselle.
Because the little girl was always clinging to him, Yan couldn’t possibly hide such a small secret from the tiny shadow that followed him everywhere.
But to Giselle, she probably didn’t understand what “red magic” even meant.
Once, Yan asked her if she thought the color of his magic was strange.
Giselle’s response was
:
“Ehh!? Why would it be strange? Giselle thinks, when Big Bwother uses magic, his power looks different from everyone else’s—it’s so pretty! Heeheehee!”
'Big Brother, who casts cool and beautiful red magic, is Giselle's biggest idol.'
Moved by her innocent, adorable words, Yan completely lost control—thus began his unstoppable descent down the path of a sister-con. ...He went berserk!
Oh, world! Why did you create such an ultimately adorable existence as little sister!?
—She was simply an angel, the greatest blessing heaven could have bestowed upon him!
…In the face of Yan’s doting affection, Giselle revealed an even stronger case of “brother complex.”
In just a few days, their bond had developed to the point where she cried and begged to sleep in the same bed as Yan at night.
...No one could persuade her otherwise. Hmph!
Baird and Helen didn’t mind too much. Seeing how much Giselle truly adored her new brother, they allowed her to share a room with Yan.
No one cared about Yan’s opinion on the matter, of course… but he was more than happy to sleep together with his cute little sister.
An extra soft, squishy pillow at night—why resist!?
As days passed, the sibling bond grew deeper and deeper.
Often, when Yan was practicing magic, Giselle would lie on the bed nearby, propping her face up with her little hands, simply watching him.
She would gaze at her Big Brother as he commanded magical elements—forces that even adults struggled to control—arranging them like soldiers on parade, even shaping them into intricate, beautiful forms.
At moments like these, Giselle would let out adorable squeals, eyes wide, completely captivated by the beautiful sight.
The young girl had no idea how terrifying the feats her beloved brother was accomplishing truly were.
For humans, such fine and precise control over magic was supposed to be impossible.
Even the elves—nature’s chosen race, born with an innate closeness to magic—would feel ashamed seeing the extent of Yan’s mastery.
What he was touching upon now… was already the domain of the Demon Gods.
……
“—Onii-chan!!”
Another clear morning. Giselle’s soft, sweet voice rang out.
Just waking up, she rubbed her sleepy eyes and let out a cute little yawn with her tiny mouth.
The moment her eyes opened, the girl immediately looked around, searching for Yan’s figure.
Soon, Giselle spotted him—sitting cross-legged on the woven mat, holding a book in one hand while scribbling something onto a wooden board with the other.
Right now, Yan was completely absorbed in the ocean of knowledge about magic structure and elemental formations.
Fascinated by this strange, mysterious lore, he immersed himself in calculating one possibility after another for arranging spells.
‘How can I cast magic more effectively?’
‘Which stance makes the success rate higher?’
‘How do I circulate the body’s magic circuits in a more orderly fashion?’
‘If I change this transmission route for magic, the spell’s power might increase. Should I try it?’
—Countless ideas that even sages would consider “dangerous” flashed across Yan’s mind.
Conjurer—this was the surname of the people living in this little town.
When translated, it meant “sorcerer” or “spellcaster.” Yan only recently learned from Baird that the town’s residents weren’t ordinary humans at all.
Back in the age of war, this race had produced many powerful magic-wielders.
For a time, they even existed as the nation’s “mystical weapons.”
From birth, their magic circuits were already partially open.
Yan’s magic circuits, however, only opened after coming into contact with Baird—when his
【Simulated Star-Creation Map】 automatically observed, analyzed, and unlocked the entirety of his magic circuits.
Even among this race, the rarest prodigies were born with only one-third of their magic circuits open.
After years of training, with luck, they might open up half.
Yet Yan had already far surpassed those so-called “geniuses,” achieving a full awakening.
As for ordinary outsiders… many spent their whole lives without unlocking even a single circuit. Compared to them, the talent of this clan was already remarkable.
But Yan’s existence was an absolute exception!
Hmm…
When life comes with cheats, there’s no need to explain!
By chance—or maybe not by chance—when Yan translated the clan’s surname using the
【Simulated Star-Creation Map】, the word happened to be the same as the one on Earth:
【Conjurer】.
He even asked Baird and Helen if this world had any 【Sorcerer/Spellcaster】 profession. But here, a 【Mage】 was simply a 【Mage】—there were no such distinctions.
Naturally—Yan found this very suspicious!
Suddenly, Yan felt a weight press down on his back. Still lost in thought, he stumbled forward and toppled onto the floor.
At that moment, Giselle was perched happily on his back, her innocent smile bright and pure, her eyes squinting into lovely crescent moons.
“Big Bro-ther, Onii-chan… come play with me!” she called out, half with her usual “Bro-ther” and half with the strange nickname “Onii-chan” that Yan had taught her.
“…Giselle, get off me first, then we can talk.” Yan sighed.
He had just come up with a promising new idea, only for it to be broken off like this!
Yet, strangely, no trace of annoyance arose in his heart.
He studied magic purely because it was fun, not because he had any particular desire for strength.
…And as interesting as magic was, nothing was more important than his cute little sister.
Even though he wanted to dive into the book on the 【Fundamental Theories of magic】 he had borrowed from Uncle Baird’s room, for now, he would set it aside to play with Giselle.
After all, Yan had never experienced the feeling of having a younger sister before transmigrating. Now, all the envy and longing he had bottled up for decades was spilling out all at once.
This was the story of a man walking further and further down the road of a full-blown sis-con.
‘Having a little sister feels so wonderful!’
Do you think people with little sisters are just “happy”?
Yan: You’re wrong! The happiness of someone with a little sister is something you couldn’t even begin to imagine!
