SLYDAR

Cruel, isn't she? My wife is a goddess among women, but that last chapter ender was pure mean, leavin' you hangin' that way. I'd never do such a thing, nope, my character voice doesn't allow for such shenanigans.

That's why I'm writin' so many a these Dad chapters. And Dad was definitely what was called for once I impregnated my wife for the second time around.

Because Rory was doing well, but tired and worn out, so Switch and I spent a lot of time father-son bonding. He was amazing, sitting up, then learning to toddle and say a few words.

Yep! "Dah" was his first word, which definitely was short for "Dad," and I decided my kids would call me "Dah," which was cute and easy to say.

Oh, no doubts, the sibs made fun of me and their kids joined right in, but that was all part a my charm. I was the only one of us who had a fun Dah name, so they could go suck grapes for all I cared. Their teasing was just more in a lifetime of it, so Rory and Switch called me "Dah" when we had family time.

But when he was sleepin' (which I was very, very good at getting him down for naps because I had a pregnant wife to enjoy), Rory called me "Sly," and I whispered naughty things across her mind and seduced her every way she'd ever imagined and then some. She got bigger and bigger, and oh, those tits were amazing. Everything about all of her curves sang to me over and over, and I couldn't get enough. Thankfully, her hormones made her crazy enough that she wanted it just as much as me, so we were on the same page.

That all changed when we got to eight months, though. Yeah, Rory was as big as a house, uncomfortable, hot all the time, and just not feelin' right, and when we went for her check up, Dr. Quail said her blood pressure was too high. Doc had warned us to wait a full year after Switch was born before makin' another baby, but you already heard Rory's thoughts on that.

So, we had to change gears and take the Obgyneca's advice to manage the blood pressure situation. What did that mean?

Bed rest for Rory. She had weeks left until our baby girl's due date, and she was not happy about that at all. Dr. Quail said she was being overly cautious and her biggest concern was that Rory just get some rest and sleep, not push herself running around after a toddler. So we weren't on as strict a plan as someone with bigger risks, but we still took it to heart 'cuz we didn't want to have issues.

For a week, we had to refrain from "relations," which was a hilarious pamphlet phrase for "Slydar, keep your dick away from your wife, you horndog."

And, we obeyed the rules. Technically. Hands worked, and that didn't break any rules. I mean, I wasn't the only randy one in the bed. Once Rory had slept her fill, she was sick 'n tired of being in bed in the not-fun way, so we got creative.

We kept the letter of the law, but fuck the spirit of it. With your fist and fingers and occasionally tongue.

We went back for the one-week follow up appointment, innocent smiles on our faces and looking like the perfectly obedient pregnant couple that we were. And yes! Blood pressure was almost in normal range. No meds needed, but keep up the good work, Joon family!

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Woo hoo! Rory still had bed rest orders, and we kept to the same restrictions. It was working, wasn't it?

Yep, until two weeks later when she started puking her guts out and was in agony. We rushed to the hospital, and you know what happened to my poor wife? Appendicitis at eight-and-a-half months pregnant.

My sweet, beautiful Rory had to have surgery, and even though she hated drugs and didn't want to put our baby girl through it, she had no choice. Thankfully, it was a robot-worthy event, which was an easier type of operation to recover from. But nothin' is easy when you're big as a house and barely able to get around on the good days.

"It's gonna be awhile, Mr. Joon, you need to get some rest, or at least, get out of the hospital for some fresh air. Take a walk."

No, I didn't punch the nurse in the face. He was tryin' to help me and tryin' to help my pregnant wife who was heading into surgery, in agony and worried sick. I felt the moment they drugged her because her brain went quiet. Well, that was good. It meant no pain for Rory. I nodded to Brandon, the nurse, and told him I'd take a breather.

Switch was with Rory's parents. They'd moved to Nineton right before Switch was born and had a nice little house in a neighborhood not far from our apartment building, so it worked out great.

I headed out into the cold day, and couldn't help remembering the times when I'd been back and forth to that hospital over and over. I looked across the street at the hotel where Rory and I'd lived nine years ago while my dad had been dyin' of cancer.

Shaking my head, I was heading down the street when I saw someone I recognized just as he looked at me, smiling.

"I'll be damned! Brick! How you been man?"

He pulled me into a hug, slapping me on the back. "Good to see you, Sly Fox. What're you doin' at the hospital? Everything okay?"

"Think so, hope so. I'm supposed to be takin' a breather, nurse orders. Got a minute for a coffee with an old friend, I could use those sturdy shoulders of yours right now."

His face softened, "Come on, Slydar, tell me all about it."

We walked to a coffee shop, but I had the story out before we ever got there, and yeah, tears streamed down my cheeks as the worry spilled outta me. We hadn't even gotten our coffee when I got a call from Dr. Quill. It wasn't terrible news, it was a risk that we knew to expect, but it wasn't easy to hear, so I ran back to the hospital, Brick at my side.

The surgery had sent Rory into labor, so Dr. Quail recommended cesarean delivery since my wife was already unconscious. They prepped me, dressed me in all the protective gear, and I stood at Rory's head while they operated. I didn't want to watch the surgery, so I just kept my eyes on my wife's face, hoping and wishing for everything to be okay.

Not long after, I heard those sweet cries, the best sound any waiting Dah could hope for, and they placed my little girl in my arms. I cried and cried, tryin' to remember every moment so I could tell Rory about it when she woke up. 'Cuz she missed our little girl's birth. It wasn't the way Rory wanted things to go, but our daughter was healthy and hale, and so was her mom.

When Rory woke up from surgery, she was mostly surprised that she was no longer pregnant and nearly dying from appendicitis, and she was sore and groggy, disoriented from everything that'd happened while she'd been sedated. But she saw little Bitsy's face, and the rest of it faded away while she looked at her daughter for the first time.

"Bitsy," she smiled at me. "It's the perfect name for her, isn't it Sly?"

"I love it, baby. She's amazing. You did so awesome." I kissed her temple softly as she put Bitsy to her breast.

"We did awesome, Slydar. Us. Well, I know all those years ago you said three or four—"

I shook my head, cutting her off. "I'm done, Rory. This was more than enough for me."

She nodded, but I already knew what she was gonna say. "Yeah, let's say two is the perfect number of kids. One for your lap, and one for mine, eh, Sly?"

I grinned, "Isn't that what we always planned, baby? Two perfect little Rory and Slydars?"

She laughed, but grimaced. Yeah, two surgeries all in one go. Not so easy for a new mom. She handed Bitsy to me once the baby was done feeding, and I rocked our little girl as her mom drifted off to sleep. We had to stay in the hospital longer than we did with Switch because Rory was recovering from two operations, but she healed well and got to go home without any complications.

I'll let her tell the story from there since she had to live it, and you'll want to hear what it was like for her. Things got interesting, that's for sure.
