RORY
"I can't believe we're doing this again," I said, panting, chest heaving.
Sly stopped beneath me. "Wait, baby, should we quit? Damn, not good timing, but uh, we can change our minds."
I laughed at him, and he was right, bad timing, me. Great. Right when we were getting into it, not at the edge, but knowing it was close.
We were in the cabin, seven-month-old Switch with my parents over night so we could make another baby. Yeah, it was fast, and yep, Dr. Quail had said it's best to wait a year, but I wanted to get all the diapers and breast feeding and crying over with before I was thirty, so I didn't stop, I just clenched Sly harder and made him groan.

"Are we stopping?" he panted, eyes rolling in the back of his head.
No way, Sly.
Rory, if you're not sure . . . Ummm. Baby. I can stop. I can still stop.
You better not, you fucker. I'm gonna ride you so hard you make me a mommy again.
My husband choked off a laugh as I made good on that promise, and we were both rewarded as he filled me, and we broke. I collapsed on his chest, smiling as he held me and wondering if I was doing something really, really stupid. Slydar chuckled beneath me.
Well, I guess it's too late to take it back? Can we wash it out? Does that work?
We giggled and giggled, and a little while later, we went for round two. It was four rounds before we left the next day, and yep, it worked. We didn't have the long, extended, let's-make-love-everyday-for-a-year experience with our daughter.
Nope, she wanted to be born, so she didn't tarry. We got pregnant first try, and it went even better than it had with Switch.
Yeah, Slydar got you're-pregnant-with-my-child horndog fever again, which meant we didn't get enough sleep since we had a baby in a crib and one in the oven, so we were tired almost all the time, but we didn't think that mattered at first.
Eventually, though, we found out that it did matter. It mattered a lot. Don't worry, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't easy either. And we'll tell ya all about it. But not today. This was a sexy chapter. At least, I tried to write it that way before the next part of the story.
Now, I just told you not to worry, didn't I? Our daughter is fine, you already know that, remember? You heard a little about her at the end of Book 3, so it's gonna be alright. Trust us, we know how to tell a story, and we haven't let you down yet, have we?
