Chapter 196: -Home Alone with Talia- ¹
"Do you want to come in?"
Raising his head slightly with a stunned expression, Max, about to press the ignition button, quickly studied Talia's expression to confirm what he heard.
'Huh?'
Feeling doubt, he skeptically observed her expression.
A little hesitant and shy, Talia held her breath as she awaited his response.
'Well. I have nothing to do at the moment.'
'Look at her though. Did she fail to realize that she has to bathe and change before anything else? Having me in the house alone with her? Her opinion of me must have skyrocketed.'
Reminiscing about what happened the last time as he was forced to press the doorbell for twenty minutes while waiting outside because Talia refused to answer the door after seeing it was him, Max resisted the urge to curl up his lips and then nodded.
"Sure, if you want me to?"
Hearing his response, Talia tried to compose her expression but failed miserably.
Just as the flush around her neck reached her cheeks, she quickly turned away and began walking towards the door.
Watching her departing back, Max stepped out of the car and followed behind.
When they got to the door, Talia quickly typed in the code and a beep followed.
For a moment there was an awkward silence in the air as she opened the doors wide for him to come in.
Stepping into the luxurious interior, Max swept his eyes across the purple-painted walls. Stopping on the velvet couches as he felt the familiarity to them, his gaze shifted to the crystal chandelier before settling on Talia, who seemed contented by his reaction.
"Humm… You can sit over here. And if you would like a glass of water." She avoided eye contact and pointed at the crafted coffee table at the center of the living suite.
"It has an inner compartment with refreshments stored in it."
She quickly said, and Max nodded.
Swiftly turning away, Talia had just taken a step when she suddenly froze. A wave of pink flush traced up to her cheeks, unseen by Max, who silently walked to the couch opposite the big hundred-inch screen.
"I might take a while…"
Prompting Max to turn towards her, Talia said.
"Why?"
Sensing the reluctance in her voice, Max asked in pretense that he had no clue of what it was.
Faced with this question and Max's gaze, Talia quickly covered half of her face before responding.
"I need to bathe and change into a new set of clothes. That is the remote, and there's some little snack in the kitchen fridge." She spoke without waiting for his response and quickly ascended the small staircase, her footsteps fading softly behind her.
'Hehehe. Feeling embarrassed that I would imagine her bathing?'
Just as a little smirk found its way to his lips, Max picked up the remote and turned on the television.
His hand soon found the small knob beneath the table and twitched it.
Puff
There was a silent hiss in the air, which made Max a little stunned at the sight.
'Of course, what was I even expecting.'
Having pried open the small door underneath the coffee table, Max felt a wave of cool air envelope his palm.
Inside what he expected to be a normal hidden compartment, white light glowed within along a chilling atmosphere.
'A little fridge.'
Nestled inside were neatly arranged cans of soft drink, five in total, with two red apples, their surfaces glistening softly under the light.
'Why didn't I ever think of it? I definitely need one in my room.' Recalling every time he had trudged to the kitchen fridge just to grab a bottle of water, Max mentally face-palmed.
Grabbing one can and an apple, Max closed the compartment and stood up.
Glancing around the room once more, his eyes happened to land on a portrait he had never noticed before.
'Huh?'
Around just two years, the portrait depicted a little girl with striking black hair and a face of Mexican nationality, precise in beauty.
'It's definitely her.'
Realizing it was Talia, Max observed the portrait for a few extra seconds before losing interest.
Since the houses in the estate were most likely the same blueprint other than a few, Max walked into the kitchen.
Seeing it was neat and tidy, he nodded and walked towards the fridge, which was two times bigger than the one he had at home.
However, just as he opened it, he instantly realized why it was so.
Fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, snacks, condiments… Every shelf in the fridge was fully stocked to the extent that Max was left gobsmacked.
Observing carefully, a half loaf of bread was the only thing that could be described as leftover inside.
'Mothers…'
Smiling wistfully, Max brought out the half-loaf of bread, preparing to slice out a piece when an idea suddenly blossomed in his mind.
"I bet she'll be surprised as fuck."
That said, he brought out a few other items from the fridge and began…
Meanwhile, up in her room, ignorant of what Max was up to, Talia picked up a hair dryer and began drying her hair while admiring her reflection in the mirror, which had just a towel covering her ample tits down to half her thighs.
Suddenly glancing at the door, which she had purposely left unlocked with a few inches-wide gap enough to peep through, she released a dejected sigh and turned to face the mirror.
"Even if he isn't a pervert. We are both alone in this house. Isn't this the best time to chase after me… when I'll be most likely to succumb to temptation?"
Whispering these words like her last hope had been shattered, Talia picked up her phone.
(How guys think and make their moves…) the screen read.
Dropping her phone, she let down her towel and admired her body before jumping into a baggy polo and bum-shorts.
'He'll probably likes this.'
She thought, giving one last look at the mirror, then exited the room and strode down the stairs.
Halfway through, she spotted Max and suddenly froze.
'Is this the smell of…?'
