Chapter 116: Welcome To Waifuria! (Part 1)

"We're quite ahead of schedule," the deer beastkin architect announced with obvious satisfaction. "Remaining work is mostly finishing touches and final inspections."

Nero repeated, genuinely surprised, "Wow. Already?"

"Magic, expertise, and motivated workers," Helya explained with her characteristic grin. "That combination makes anything possible. Plus, everyone's been working their tails off because they want to prove themselves."

The sentiment was echoed across all departments.

Warriors trained with such dedication that Aurelia had to enforce mandatory rest periods.

Craftswomen refined their workshops with attention to detail that went beyond mere function.

Support specialists organized supply systems with efficiency that would make professional logistics experts weep with envy.

Everyone wanted to contribute meaningfully to what they were building together.

The chefs had evolved beyond Nero's initial demonstrations, now creating fusion cuisine that blended Earth techniques with otherworldly ingredients.

"Master Nero!" Mira called excitedly. "Try this! We adapted your roasting method to crystal vegetables from the eastern forests! The flavor concentration is incredible!"

He accepted the offered sample, taste buds immediately lighting up with complex flavors.

Sweet, savory, with an underlying mineral quality that was completely unique.

"This is amazing. Way better than anything I could make."

"You taught us the foundation!" another chef insisted. "We just built on your techniques with our own knowledge!"

The pride in their voices was unmistakable, genuine satisfaction from creating something new through collaborative innovation.

Similar progress echoed across all specializations.

The blacksmith produced a demonstration weapon that made even Aurelia nod with approval.

"The balance is perfect," the angel assessed, testing the blade's weight. "And the edge... this is of great quality despite the speed of production."

"We're just getting started!" the smith replied with satisfaction. "Wait until we have proper supply chains and can really show what we're capable of!"

The enchanters successfully created a permanent light system for the village that would eliminate the need for conventional torches or lanterns.

"Self-sustaining, weather-proof, and adjustable intensity," the lead enchanter explained proudly. "It'll feel like daylight at night if that's what people prefer, or dim to near darkness for those who want it darker."

Even the scholars had established a small library, organizing knowledge brought with various summons into a proper reference system.

"We're documenting everything," one explained enthusiastically. "Construction techniques, magical theories, and cultural knowledge from different regions…"

As sunset approached on day six, the village stood ready.

A true settlement rather than just a collection of buildings.

A place that felt like home despite its newness.

Day 7.

Before anyone knew it, it's already day 7.

The outdoor celebration began as the artificial sun set, magical lights illuminating the village square in warm, welcoming tones.

Long tables had been arranged in a U-shape, laden with food that represented everyone's contributions.

The chefs had outdone themselves, creating a feast that would have impressed nobility in any dimension.

Roasted meats seasoned with Earth techniques.

Vegetable dishes that showcased Fantasia's unique produce.

Breads baked fresh that morning, their aroma alone enough to make mouths water.

Desserts that combined magical ingredients with conventional baking methods.

And of course, the fusion stews that had become something of a signature dish.

"... This is incredible," Nero admitted, surveying the spread. "You all went above and beyond."

"We wanted to celebrate properly!" Mira explained with her characteristic enthusiasm. "A new village deserves a proper dedication feast!"

The entire community gathered, nearly 40 people now counting Nero and his initial companions.

Warriors mingled with craftswomen.

Scholars traded stories with support specialists.

The artificial divisions of rank and specialty dissolved into genuine camaraderie as everyone shared food and conversation.

"To Master Nero!" someone called out, raising a cup. "For giving us new opportunities and bringing us together!"

"To Master Nero!" the chorus echoed enthusiastically.

Nero felt his face heat slightly at the unified appreciation, though he couldn't help but smile.

"To all of you," he countered. "For making this possible through your incredible work."

The celebration continued with music provided by a few summons who'd brought instruments, their melodies filling the night air with warmth and joy.

Some people danced, their movements ranging from graceful to enthusiastically chaotic.

Others simply enjoyed the atmosphere, the peaceful satisfaction of a job well done.

Aurelia silently sat beside Nero, her usual stoic expression softened by genuine contentment.

Celis approached with her gentle smile, offering additional refreshments,

"'Tis a blessed evening, is it not? So many souls united in common purpose."

"It really is," Nero agreed.

Luna had even emerged from her laboratory for the celebration, though she maintained her characteristic standoffishness by claiming a spot slightly separate from the main crowd.

Felt sat near her, the two continuing their technical discussion even during a party.

"The molecular binding principle could theoretically apply to..."

"Yes, but you'd need to account for dimensional instability during the transformation phase..."

As the night deepened and the celebration showed no signs of winding down, someone called out:

"Don't we need a name? For the village, for the land… We can't just keep calling it 'the island' or 'the village now, can't we?"

The suggestion sparked immediate enthusiasm, everyone suddenly offering ideas.

"How about Sanctuary?" one warrior suggested. "Because this place is safe!"

"Harmonia!" a scholar proposed. "Representing how different people came together!"

"Craftshaven!" a blacksmith called out. "Emphasizing skilled work!"

The suggestions poured in, each with reasonable logic behind it.

"Dimensional Landing!"

"New Genesis!"

"Star's Rest!"

"Eternia!"

The names were genuinely good, showing thoughtfulness about what the settlement represented.

Then Aurelia casually suggested, her divine presence immediately commanding attention.

"I propose the land be named for Lord Nero himself. The Land of Nero, with the capital city eventually bearing his name as well. It is only fitting that the one who brought us together be honored in such fashion."

'Seriously, just my name? I don't think anyone would–'

"Yes!" several knights immediately agreed with enthusiastic nods. "That's perfect! Lord Nero's Land!"

"Mhm, it has a good ring to it! I wholeheartedly agree!"

"Me too!"

"..."

… Nero couldn't believe that these girls actually found it appropriate to name a piece of land after him.

Meanwhile,

"..."

Luna's eye twitched violently as she listened to them deciding the fate of HER floating island.

The land SHE had established through years of research and magical innovation.

"Excuse me," she interjected with barely controlled irritation. "But this is MY property that I graciously allowed you all to occupy… Perhaps I should have some say in naming MY. OWN. LAND.?"

She emphasized hardly, her petite form somehow projecting immense dignity despite her size.

"I propose we name this floating sanctuary 'Aetherveil.' A name befitting its nature as a dimensional space that exists between realities, elegant and refined much like myself."

The mages and scholars immediately perked up at the suggestion.

"Ohhh!"

"That does sound elegant..."

"Very sophisticated!"

"Befitting of the Great Sage's domain!"

Most people nodded in agreement, appreciating the name's aesthetic quality and theoretical appropriateness.

"How about it?" Luna turned to Nero with obvious pride, adjusting her glasses with a confident smirk. "It sounds elegant, no? Just like this refined lady who found and refined this entire land?"

"..."

Everyone immediately stopped talking, all eyes turning to their master at the center of attention.

The crowd fell silent, anticipation hanging thick in the air as everyone waited for Nero's decision.

The moonlight from Luna's artificial sky cast everything in silvery illumination, making the moment feel almost ceremonial.

"..."

Nero stood slowly, his casual movement somehow drawing even more attention.

He walked toward the edge of the village square, looking out over the newly constructed settlement.

Stone buildings with their elegant archways.

Wooden structures that blended function and beauty.

The carefully planned roads that would eventually connect everything.

All of it bathed in soft magical light that made the scene look almost dreamlike.

His mind raced through the suggestions.

Sanctuary had merit – this place was definitely safe.

Harmonia captured the unity aspect beautifully.

Craftshaven honored the skilled labor that built everything.

Land of Nero was... flattering but felt too self-centered.

Aetherveil was genuinely elegant and theoretically appropriate.

All good names.

Solid choices that made logical sense.

But...

'None of them feel quite right.'

A grin slowly spread across his face as a different idea crystallized.

Something that captured not just what this place was, but what it represented.

Something that honored the reality of his situation without taking itself too seriously.

Something that would make people either laugh or groan, possibly both.

He turned back to face the assembled crowd, his expression carrying mischievous confidence.

"I have decided."

The declaration made everyone lean forward slightly, eager to hear his choice.

Aurelia watched with her usual stoic attention.

Something about Celis's gentle smile says it's something interesting.

Luna's confident smirk showed she expected him to choose her elegant suggestion.

The six former wives held their breath.

The summons waited with obvious anticipation.

Nero raised his voice, projecting across the entire square with dramatic finality.

"Welcome to the Land of Waifuria!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

Complete silence descended over the square.

Not the respectful kind of silence that follows a profound announcement.

The confused, "what did he just say" kind of silence.
