The next few days past in relative peace as Edward's small fleet escorted us to our destination the seas could be dangerous so I wasn't against it

I was seated on the railing of the ships as Edward and I talked about our love for games " what were your favorite genres " he asked me still holding the steer of the ship

" mostly rpgs,fps and a little battle royal " I answered him " what about you " I then asked him he seemed to think for a minute

" for me it's open world ,platformers and rts games that I like the most their is nothing better the exploring the unknown and finding what lies there " I looked up at the sky it's shade was tinted orange since it was sunset

Eventually I sighed " I get that my dream was to travel the stars wondering the unknown not like a astronaut but something more kinda like that one guy from the comics sadly it couldn't be realized in our old world...but here maybe it can be different "

Edward opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by the loud creaking of the ship next to us get a bad feeling I looked over in time to see three massive tentacles wrap around the ships before slowly crushing it sending giant splinters and people everywhere

" ready the depth charges and assemble the assault squad quickly " Edward gave orders as fast as he could given the situation

The sound of the ship tearing apart was almost unbearable another half dozen sprung up as the ship to our right started to sink a couple wrapped around this ship ,one smacked the boat destroying it in one blow sending my mind in turmoil the last few wrapped around the last ship seeking to destroy like the other one

"Release " the first mate shouted and people on both ships drop some kind of metal ball then jumped in after it I was already half way into the water by then going after Alistair and Selena

Hitting the waves I dived down looking for them but what I saw instead was a giant whale with tentacles dozens of them lining it's side not to far from the ships at least given it's size

Getting out of my stupper I looked around for my companions Selena was aiming her rifle as the creatures tentacle swung at her luckily the rifle didn't rely on blackpowder to operate instead it was based on a rail gun so the projectile shot just fine Hitting the tentacle before exploding

The severed tentacle just spun in the empty water not able to do anything Selena was still blasted back by the force of everything but she seemed fine

Looking for Alistair I saw him swimming to the surface but one of his arms were hurt so we was struggling swimming over to him I help him surface and get to the ship's ladder

before I broke the surface I saw some of the pirate most the people with gills

the balls they dropped earlier exploded releasing a Shockwave stunning the whale making it's tentacles loosen around the ships the people then threw big spears at the creature pinning some of it's tentacle to itself

Surfacing I help Alistair up the ladder an onto the deck Edward had just severed one of the tentacles around the ship with the help of his element " can you deal with those ones " he asked pointing at the tentacles wrapped around the other ship

Nodding I went to the other side of the ship enhancing myself with lightning I took of in a sprint almost falling a couple times because of the rocking at the last moment I jumped fly through the air towards the ship ' at least I can still manipulate gravity ' I thought to myself as I floated over

When I reached the ship I let gravity pull me down again using my momentum I slided across the wet deck twisting my staff to pull out my executioner sword I severed two of the creatures limbs before coming to a stop

" show off " I heard Edward shout over at me I just held out my hand with my middle finger extended getting back to I started severing the tentacles as fast as I could

It took me a little bit because of their size but when it was done I dived back into the sea there Selena was helping the group attacking the whale directly a few were injured a couple had died but most were still at it Edward at joined them now with something over his mouth

Even though we had severed multiple tentacles the monster was still going strong didn't seem like we could win this

' fuck this ' fed up I pulled myself back onto the ship going to the end of the ship I did the same thing as before and jumped off it

When I was over the whale I plunged into the water holding my staff with the force of a meteor my body ached as I did barely able to withstand the strain to occupied with its current battle it didn't notice me coming in at high speed

It's entire body ached when I slammed into it with my staff on it's back causing another Shockwave that fung everyone back while displacing a little bit of water

Blood came out the monster whales mouth as it shot into the ocean depths leaving a trail of bubbles and blood I let go of my staff before the pressure got to much letting it carry the whale away about two minutes later as everyone was still confused a loud crash could be heard making the ocean quack while everyone swayed a little bit

" you really are a show off " Edward said after we climbed back aboard the ship people were moving around us in a hurry patching up the ship or helping other get on board

I just shook my head not really having the strength to retort Selena was next to spread out utterly exhausted as well even though the battle went fairly fast it was still tiring and deadly

Like for Alistair or the other injured they would have to wait until they made it back to the town to get heald by doc unless they had a healer among the crew

" I'll teleport you back as soon as we make land I can't right now " Alistair nodded in understanding as sat near a create holding his arm

" well it best we get out of here asap so nothing else attacks us sucks you lost your weapon though it seemed pretty cool " I just held up my hand in response he looked at me with a weird expression for a minute

Just when he was about to turn around a splash was heard and a beautifuly designed staff flew into my hand his mouth hung open for a second before he walked away grumbling to himself " I want a mythical weapon too why does he have all the cool shit "

I chuckled as I examined the staff it seemed completely fine despite traveling to the bottom of the ocean and back ' man this really is a fantastic metal ' thinking back to my fight in the arena i felt a little more wary of that man since he actually managed to bend it

After getting the stranded survivors onto the remaining two ships we carried on with our journey luckily Selena always held onto the map so we didn't lose it as we were sailing away from the battlefield some members o f the crew did a little prayer for the fallen

About three days later we finally made land fall at our destination " Alright i should be able to teleport now I said to Alistair as we disembarked

helping him onto solid land I took a second to look around " Alright I'll be right back " with that I teleported away I took a breath when I reappeared happy that my element isn't being messed with anymore

Walking into the large rectangular building with a red plus symbol on it while helping Alistair sitting at a desk nearby meant for a receptionist doc got up seeing us

" what happened " he asked looking at Alistair limping " it's a long story doc "

" fine follow me " doc sighed leading us to a empty room i helped Alistair lay down when i did i noticed he was holding the charm opa gave him i guess he managed to save it

" is it fine if I bring a few more people to heal " doc brought out a few medical instruments then nodded

" thanks " standing back I teleported again appearing on the beach " would you mind taking my men as well I fear some of them won't make the journey there " I nodded

" yeah that's fine I thought you would ask but your men won't try anything right " he looked at me an shook is head " no they won't I'll make sure especially now that your our benefactor now" I spent the next few minutes taking people to the infirmary after they got talked to by Edward

" Alright it should be about a week give or take " Edward said looking at the place I marked on his map " ok that's about the same time for us also when you get their ask to speak to my wife Elise tell her about our deal she'll get everything sorted out she good at that "He gave me a weird look

" what..."

" I still can't believe someone married you " I clicked my tongue grabbing a pack full of supplies for the journey that was placed nearby " see you in two weeks " I held up my middle finger at him " and fuck you "

Selena hurried to my side with a map in her hand as we continued onward on our little adventure
