Elise and I were currently drinking with the rest of the town after we got back they had invited us to celebrate with them at the town pub everyone was happy to be freed from the basilisk

Looking around I saw James dancing with lazza I had grabbed him when I dropped off the eggs at the mansion I wasn't going to leave him alone for too long I left icarus there in his place

At that moment a man busted in with a frightened look on his face " its back " he yelled as the chatter and dancing suddenly stopped Elise and I looked at each other confused because it should be dead we got up and went outside quickly and there it was on a nearby building staring directly at me when it saw us come out we heard it let out an angry hiss

" fuck you too" i took a sip from the glass still in my hand before throwing it at the basilisk we stared at one another for a minute after the glass cup broke across the creature's head suddenly I felt pain in my stomach looking down I noticed that the basilisk's sharp tail has pierced me " I deserve this " be for it could pull its tail back I grabbed it letting lightning gather around me before discharging it along the tail electrocuting the basilisk

Elise took advantage of this manifesting a Ice spear throwing it at the basilisk's head killing and freezing it as soon as it hit after seeing it die Elise told James and lazza to look around and make sure there were no other basilisk and no one else was hurt seeing them leave she came over to me

" teleport us to zamel one i pull this out " I nodded slowly gritting my teeth as she pulled the tail out of my stomach once it was out she quickly put pressure on the wound for me as I teleported us to zamel study

See us appear and Elise holding pressure on my wound zamel let out a heavy sigh " you kids just refuse to stay out of trouble "

In a castle made out of a beautiful crystal a Dwarve sat on a thronehe was slightly taller then the rest of his kind and looks more of what you would traditional call Dwarves

He was deep in thought when a Dwarve came into the throne room kneeling before him " my king the preparation for the tournament are complete should we announce a earlier start date " the attendant asked the Dwarven king shook his head " no we need as many sign ups as possible hopefully we will get the strongest " the attendant looked at the king a bit worried

" what if a non-dwarve wins"

the king sighed as his gems glowed a pale white" then so be it we can't hold the line much longer we need a powerhouse In our ranks or this city is doomed " the attendant bowed " forgive this servants ignorance I will take my leave " the king went back to his thoughts as the attendant left

" so this is how you been making your money" James said as Elise and I walked out of the adventures guild with him close behind " yeah it was a bit hard at first but being one of the few people here capable of taking down tough threats pays off "

after getting patched up by zamel we went back to the town and took the basilisk corpse back with us back to the guild for payment we left the other one with the town for them to use since we only needed one to complete the mission when we got back to the mansion Elise and I decided to spend the last week an a half until the tournament together and with our daughter just enjoying our time as a family....

" are we really going to fight each other " I asked Elise after getting dressed to go to the tournament " yes now come or we will be late " when we got outside I noticed Amelia, Emily and a few of people i rescued waiting for us to leave to the tournament what shocked me the most was that Liam was here al to cheer us on

we all got on icarus to fly to the tournament since it was the quickest and easiest way to get us all there when we got there we didn't have to wait in a line or anything because we went to a separate entrance for nobles and those who would be fighting in the tournament

After icarus landed and we hopped of her she made herself smaller making her way on my shoulder getting comfortable as we all walked into the coliseum along the way I noticed some eyes on us " is that them "

" mhmm I think it is " I heard some nobles whispering to themselves as they stared at us honestly it made me a bit uncomfortable Elise gripped my hand slightly tighter making me move my focus away from the nobles

" don't worry about them they will do that to everybody " smiled at me with a curious Emily on her shoulders looking everywhere wide I smiled back at her happy she's right who cares what they thing when I have my family with me when we got to our seating it was private separate from anyone else with good seats and a great view of the arena I'm sure Amelia or Elise paid extra for this place so it would be a comfortable place for

everyone to be

It too almost a hour for the tournament to start when it did a Dwarve floated down to the middle of the arena he was in colorful clothes with a colorful and big hat on his head " welcome wonderful citizens of this great kingdom I hope todays fights will be entertaining and the contestants put up a good fight in our up coming matches I won't bore you with anymore of this speech I know what you all are here for anyone who has registered and has a glowing card please make you way to the arena "

I was confused what he was talking about until Elise pulled out a card that was sent to both of us a little bit ago I quickly pulled out the card it was the same as hers the only difference was that mine wasn't glowing I looked over at Elise concerned not really for her because I'm know she will probably be fine it's more I don't want to see her hurt Elise stood up and came over to me giving me a quick kiss handing Emily over to me

" I'll be fine " Emily smiled at Elise throwing her arm in the air " you can do it mama your really strong "

I smiled at the cuteness of our daughter trying to encourage her mother and looked at a bit more settled " she is right my love you got this show them whose boss " Elise turned towards the opening in our room smiling as everyone else also gave words of

encouragement when she was ready she jumped from the opening landing graceful in the arena scaring a couple of the fighters who got there before her the first battle will be free for all to quickly thin the ranks out

When it seemed like no one else would join the arena the colorful Dwarve signaled for the match to begin as the crowd cheered there were currently about fifty people in the arena the ones closest to each other and not on the same side started attacking anyone they could the the two people that were close by when Elise landed looked at each other before silently deciding to find a new opponent they didn't know who she was but they were sure she was strong judging by her entrance and the fact she didn't have a weapon made them uneasy

As they took of in the opposite direction of Elise a water bubble formed around there heads disorienting them as a thin sheet of ice appeared below there feet causing them to slip falling backwards when they hit the ground they got frozen in place as they struggled to get free and breath it wasn't long until they stopped moving having passed out with a flick of her wrist everything was dispelled with the water that got in there lungs allowing them to finally breathe normally

they laid there for a few seconds until there body's started to sink into the dirt ground of the arena pulling there unconscious body's to a safe location underground the ones nearby who saw what happened looked at Elise with fear wanting to make sure they don't mess with her the colorful Dwarve popped out of the ground near Elise with a joyful grin on his face " it seems we have our first takedown of the match and in quite a brutal fashion I would stay clear of this beautifuly deadly elf " just like he came In the colorful Dwarve popped back in the ground disappearing leaving those who heard him to look at Elise some with fear others with excitement eager for a challenge I wanted to kick that colorful little shit for lowkey making Elise a target
