I was a little shocked then stood up quickly after the fortress some of the elves we rescue from the slavers started talking about a meet up with a small army from across the sea that the leaders of the slavers somehow managed to contact

The small army was coming to do a trade slaves for man power because the empire over there basically runs on slaves but they needed a new source of them for some reason the elves didn't

We have been having scouts on the coast watching for any incoming ships and they have finally been spotted " how far away are they " I asked the guard " the scout said a couple hours at most judging by the speed " he said I came over to Elise kissing her " I got to go my love " I started to leave but she grabbed me " I'm coming with you " before I could say anything she stood up going to her mother to hand over Emily " can you watch her tell we get back please " the queen nods with a sigh knowing it would be useless to stop her

Elise then turned to our daughter " we have to go for a little bit we love you ok " Emily nodded back " ok momma I love you too" seeing the sadness on her face hurt my heart I walked over giving a big kiss on her forehead before grabbing Elise's hand to walk out " I will send as much support as i am able to muster to the location as soon as possible" king said as we left outside the door lazza and kal were there

" come with me it's time the ships have been spotted they will arrive soon " they nodded as we made our way out the palace a scout was there next to him was James " what are you doing you are supposed to be resting " lazza said to him James just chucked " I had a feeling something was happening I didn't want to miss out on the fun plus I got the mounts ready " he said with a smirk

Not having the time for a debate we all headed to the landing site of the ships... when we got to were the ships were going to land it was mostly flat beach what was wired is that the two different biomes are right Next to each other I didn't know if it was normal but it was cool to see

The ships were not to far from landing I looked around to come up with something Elise went around the beach carvings a rune to act as a land mine on as many rock she could find placing them around the beach quickly

Kal raised a bunch of false cover to give them a sense of safety so they could shoot them easier kal was able to do this because his element is earth which can be very useful at times especially at a time like this the rest of us helped out as best we could

By the time we were done the ships were about to land they looked like small maybe medium transport ships with two or three sails there were 4 ships when they hit the beach a section of the ships near the front split open as humans started to come out all of them were armored carrying weapons

I also noticed on the ships there were people who I assume were there slaves because they all had ragged clothing if any at all but what stood out the most was they weren't completely human because if you looked they had ears on there head most had tails too they must be beastmen eventually after almost 400 hundred people came out of the ships a man dressed very well came off one of the ships he stood behind the small army with a couple beastmen with him

" are you the one that wanted to do the trade with our empire where are the slaves "the well dressed man said to me i frowned a bit hearing this I can't stand these people being ok treating another person like property for no reason other than because they can and they can use them for whatever they needed

" no that man is dead what he was doing is against the law here leave now I don't want to have a problem with your people " the man looked me up and down " who are you to speak for the people of this land little guy " I got a bit annoyed being called little I always had a problem with my height even my nephew was taller then me it's frustrating I've learned to try and let it go but it's still annoying when someone brings it up looking at the man with a frown

" I am the future king of the people you tried to enslave giving you this chance to leave is a curtesy " the man chuckles " I have all these people with me I don't think it's a chance to leave I could capture you now and hold you ransom for the actual king here then he can give us what we want you can't stand against all these men" he said

I just smiled at him" do you really want to take that bet I promise it won't go well for you" he frowned at my words thinking for a bit " fine we will leave" as he was saying that I saw on one of the ships a child come running out the cabin with cut and bruised I watched as a woman covered her from the man the man beating her the he started beating the woman to dragging her and the child to the cabin now

I frowned deeply seeing this I didn't want to do anything against this unknown kingdom but I can't just stand by letting things like this happen not when I have the power now to fight against it something that just burns in me to fight things like this even if it's not the best choice I just can't help it I won't let these people have there way and do what they want it's wrong to do nothing to stop them

" leave the slaves you brought it's against the law here" the man looked at me angrily

" don't push you luck " I didn't flinch " you landed in our kingdom you are subject to our laws leave them here" the man couldn't take it anymore " someone kill this fool " he shouted angrily

A soldier holding a spear started walking to me " you don't have to listen to him you are your own person your making a mistake " I said to him trying to make him stop but he didn't the soldier went to thrust his spear but before he could finish he dropped dead with wide eyes and a very small hole in his head all the soldiers gasped " what happened to him " one said out loud " it's called death " I said casually the soldiers looked around a bit scared to move " all of you attack him he isn't a god" the well dressed man yelled

I look at him " you don't know who I am you just landed on foreign soil what do you know " the soldiers hesitated a little before coming to reason rushing me I smiled at this as I pulled down my mask " you all have chosen the hard way then hhmmm" a few soldiers started dropping dead as they rushed me " take cover he has someone shooting in the forest" someone yelled figuring it out as they got closer to me and the cover around the beach ice mines started going off freezing people

At this point I started charging the closest person to me he raised his sword but before he could swing he felt pain in his back looking he saw me behind him he was stunned as he died not under standing how I got there

someone shot a arrow at me but a magic circle appeared on the floor a small wall of ice rose up because Elise showed up behind me she moves pretty fast when she skates on her own ice "perfect timing my love " I say kissing her cheek " of course do you know me for anything less" she said with a smile together we fought the small army dodging strikes and spells fighting with perfect teamwork I guess the time spent sparing paid off in another way

Shadow appeared from darkness within the army at some point wrecking havoc icarus joined in to raining fire arrow down diving down to attack with her claws when she could I got told by shadow that icarus was female a few days ago I was embarrassed when I found out and offered to change her name but shadow said she liked it

Eventually we were getting hurt to often and had to equip my armor and Elise her ice armor my staff started cave in armor when it hit it and bones would break from even the light hits

I ducked a swipe with a sword as I sweep the man who just swung off his feet with my staff then cartwheel over him crushing his throat using the staff's weight finally getting a chance to look around after killing the man it as been a bit since the fight started what I saw shocked me the beastmen on two of the ships have started fighting back and where winning some even came out to help fight the soldiers on the other two ships there was fighting too but they seemed to be losing

Eventually there was a call to retreat to the avaliable ships the soldiers rushed back to the two ships still under control " you will regret your actions here the emperor will hear about this " the well dressed man yelled from the back of the ship as it sails away he survived because of all the chaos plus he was in the back of the army close to the ships

Before the ship got to far I took out my pistol from it's holster I shot at the man he had a smirk seeing this thinking it wasn't going to hit but his eyes widened feeling pain looking down he saw a blood stain start to spread on his chest he fell down dying slowly I turned around going over to Elise who was near by
