Soul Land 2: Body Sect

Chapter 298: Chapter 298: "Old Poison, I Brought Your Wife!"

Chapter 298: "Old Poison, I Brought Your Wife!"

Looking at the unassuming and even shabby wooden house in front of him, Du Qianjue (Old Poison) was utterly puzzled.

"Do powerful people all have such eccentric tastes? Do they all enjoy this kind of simple, rustic lifestyle?"

If it weren't for his spiritual senses confirming that Wang Xian'er truly lived here and hadn't moved in a while, who would believe this was the residence of the continent's top healing soul master?

"Is Senior Wang Xian'er here? Du Qianjue from the Ontology Sect requests an audience," Du Qianjue sent out a spiritual message.

Wang Xian'er, who was resting with her eyes closed while sunbathing, slowly opened her eyes, a hint of confusion flickering in their depths. Still, she stood up and personally went out to greet Du Qianjue.

Ever since Du Qianjue had gifted her a small portion of the Life Gold, Wang Xian'er had been using it to cultivate over the past few years. With her Healing Angel martial spirit, she could absorb life energy and convert it into soul power to boost her cultivation. The Life Gold, imbued with life energy, was a perfect resource for her training.

Even a tiny bit of Life Gold allowed Wang Xian'er to rapidly advance in her soul power. In just a few short years, her soul power skyrocketed, and now she had reached level 98. But that was as far as she could go. The amount of Life Gold Du Qianjue had given her was limited, enough to help her break through from level 95 to 97. The final level came from her years of accumulated power and the pure, immense life energy of the Life Gold acting as a catalyst.

However, the barrier to becoming an Ultimate Douluo was beyond her reach.

The Life Gold had other benefits beyond boosting her soul power. It had also rejuvenated her, making her appear much younger. Although she didn't return to her youthful appearance, she now looked like a mature woman in her late twenties.

She was ripe!

As soon as Wang Xian'er opened the door, and Du Qianjue saw her, he couldn't help but marvel in his heart.

"Great-uncle, you're in for a treat! She's gorgeous!"

Du Qianjue suddenly realized something: every woman with life-related attributes seemed to be beautiful. The Goddess of Life was an obvious example, and if she weren't already married (which might even be a plus?), she would undoubtedly be the number one goddess of the God Realm, her irresistible aura drawing people in.

Biji (Bi Ji) was the same. Frankly, on the Douluo Continent, the only woman besides Xue Linglong who could stir Du Qianjue's heart was Bi Ji. That says a lot about Bi Ji's allure.

Yifu (Eve) didn't count. She merely aroused Du Qianjue's primal desires—that was pure lust, not affection.

These two were already impressive, but Wang Xian'er was only a step behind the Goddess of Life and Bi Ji?

Du Qianjue was numb from the realization.

"Are there really so many beauties on the Douluo Continent?"

"It's you, Qianjue. I didn't expect you to come looking for me," Wang Xian'er said with a gentle smile, her tone soft.

However, her self-referring as "this old body" paired with her stunning beauty and melodious voice was quite jarring.

Can you imagine a beautiful woman in her late twenties speaking with the tone of an elderly lady?

"Come in. You've been stirring up quite the storm on the continent lately, even I, who normally ignores worldly affairs, have heard about your deeds," Wang Xian'er chuckled as she led Du Qianjue into her courtyard, casually preparing a cup of tea for him.

"What? What happened?" Du Qianjue was utterly confused, having spent the past few days leisurely walking around.

Though he had traveled to the Star Luo Empire, he hadn't hurried. If he had wanted to, he could've crossed the distance in a blink, but after becoming so powerful, he preferred a slower pace of life, adjusting his mindset for the day he would challenge the realm of the Creation God.

So, he hadn't paid much attention to what was happening on the continent.

Wang Xian'er took a sip of tea and said calmly, "People all over the continent are searching for you, the 'god.' I imagine your sect is now bustling with visitors. I didn't expect you'd leave your sect and come to the Star Luo Empire to visit me."

"Is there something you need?"

Wang Xian'er had a good guess as to why Du Qianjue had come to her.

"Indeed, senior. I came to personally invite you to my wedding. Since you and my great-uncle have such a close relationship, I felt it was only right to deliver the invitation myself," Du Qianjue said respectfully.

Considering she might become his great-aunt in the future, Du Qianjue was careful to show proper etiquette.

While he could afford to be indifferent to others, he couldn't do so with his great-uncle's future wife.

Sigh, great-uncle, I'm going through all this trouble for your marriage...

Although Du Qianjue maintained a polite smile, he was internally complaining about his great-uncle.

"I'll attend. How could I refuse when even a god-like figure has come to personally invite me?" Wang Xian'er chuckled, her tone playful.

If it had been anyone else, Wang Xian'er wouldn't have been so casual. However, Du Qianjue's respectful demeanor reassured her. He hadn't become arrogant despite his power, so she found his presence pleasant.

Her comment was simply a senior's lighthearted banter with a junior.

"I'm not a god yet, just someone with god-level combat strength. I'm still only at level 97," Du Qianjue explained, shaking his head with a sigh. "I have no idea who started that rumor. Even I'm confused."

"Rumors can be dangerous. Words are the greatest lies," Wang Xian'er said softly.

After chatting for a while, the two set off together. Wang Xian'er, who had no close ties or obligations, decided to go to the Ontology Sect directly. After all, where better to drink tea than there?

This suited Du Qianjue perfectly. He wanted to give his great-uncle and Wang Xian'er more opportunities to interact, hoping his great-uncle's 200-year-old bachelor status would finally change.

Wang Xian'er also got a taste of god-level power.

With a single tear in the void, Du Qianjue whisked her from Star Luo City to the Ontology Sect in the blink of an eye.

"Senior Wang, would you like to meet my great-uncle first or should I arrange a room for you?" Du Qianjue asked.

"No rush, arrange a room for me first. We can catch up later," Wang Xian'er smiled.

But Du Qianjue wouldn't miss this golden opportunity. Although he asked for her preference, he had already signaled his great-uncle.

"Great-uncle, there's something urgent. Come quickly!"

The next moment, Du Busi (Old Poison) appeared, his face full of confusion. He looked from Du Qianjue's mischievous expression to Wang Xian'er's warm smile. His expression immediately turned into shock.

"What the... You're serious about this?!"

Du Busi was utterly dumbfounded.

"What did you think?" Du Qianjue raised an eyebrow, silently communicating everything.

Before leaving: "Old Poison, do you want a wife? If you do, I'll bring her to you!"

After coming home: "Old Poison, open the door. I brought your wife—come out and get her!"

"Great-uncle, you're just in time. Since you're more familiar with the sect, I'll leave the task of hosting Senior Wang to you!" Du Qianjue grinned before making his exit.

Why linger? He had to give Old Poison and Wang Xian'er some space to get closer, right?

Even the matchmaker himself would have applauded Du Qianjue's efforts.

And so, Du Busi stood there, expression stiff and mind reeling, while the graceful and stunning Wang Xian'er stood beside him with a serene smile.
