Chapter 23: Obtaining materials
Valery will not go to her room right away, she will first go to get the materials to make her security system.
Getting materials was not difficult, choosing them was complicated.
Valery walked to what many of the students call: the dump.
A place where there are many pieces, some broken and some whole pieces of many materials. The dump is so big that it looks like a subway world where the vampires lived before.
On the roof there were white luminous mushrooms.
As Valery went down the stairs, she couldn't help but look at the ceiling and see these mushrooms, she couldn't help but remember those stories about the so-called stars in the night sky. Something that no vampire can see today because of the fog that covers the world.
The stairs got deeper and the ceiling higher. Over time the mushrooms now looked like real stars, because of the long distance between the ceiling and the floor, and Valery began to notice the end of the stairs.
And along with that end also began to be heard sounds of a hammer hitting the metal, at other times that could be heard breaking glass. Then there was the sound of machines being used.
Valery could not help smiling a big and bright smile, where her long fangs showed. She hurried her pace.
If there was one teacher she wanted to see first, it was specifically this one...
The Art teacher, the only Baroness in this academy. Hana, a Baroness who lived on the Asian side, her territory was of nomadic vampires. They took advantage of the great mountains that were found in Asia to live.
Valery saw a house made of wood, it has a simple and beautiful design. Valery likes very much the asian style structures, but she would not change the gothic and medieval style.
Styles in which she specializes and where she took specialization. Asian and American structures were some that she also enjoyed, especially those in which vampires live. Of course there are many building styles depending on what place or culture you come from, but some have been maintained or replaced.
As she moved the sliding door without saying much she found her teacher.
Moving needle and thread, she wears a soft tunic that for those unfamiliar with this style of dress would think it is a bathrobe, but its vivid colors and the way it is made rejects that very thought.
"Hmm?"
At the intrusion the short-haired, ill-groomed vampire looked back at Valery, she had a pair of magnifying glasses, to see smaller things more accurately.
"Valery?"
"Hello Professor Hana."
"What are you doing here? Did you tear the clothes I made for you?" Said the teacher with some disguise, she wanted to be interrupted.
"Not at all, your clothes are perfectly well kept in my wardrobe" said Valery, without giving any importance to the teacher's attitude.
"Then what do you want?"
"Can I take materials from outside?"
"Yes, go ahead. Don't interrupt me anymore."
Valery could only smile. Knowing her teacher she knew it wasn't that she was moelsta, her high dedication and obsession in work didn't allow her to be negligent. If she's doing it, she won't stop working until she's done.
It is an admirable attitude for many, but nobody follows her example...
But for the teacher it's just a vestige of her laziness, Valery could feel lonely but she couldn't compare with the loneliness of teacher Hana...
She's a vampire... who wants to die...
Valery walked away from the teacher leaving her with her current project.
I took steel rods and searched for silver bells, even though they were hard to find. Valery doesn't think there aren't some of them around here. She searched, moved the wood and metal, for some large pieces of torn and dirty cloth. Sometimes it wasn't very pleasant to look around here.
Valery picked up a black rat, but it didn't show much reaction, he just watched as it ran away the moment Valery uncovered its shelter.
Valery kept searching and saw more and more rats.
Why was he seeing rats?
Because of the power of transformation, the more forms he could change the better. Rats may not be pretty but there are so many of them that he could really notice their nature.
Litter beings, with a high reproduction rate, hidden and...
Valery could not sympathize with the rats... Valery is a proud vampire and loves her race. So somehow she realized that choosing every time the bat was her ideal animal.
Whether in solitary or in litter, nocturnal beings, with low birth rate, with sensitive hatreds, with an almost magical ability such as echolocation.
They are the beings most similar to a vampire.
With a bit of cloth he made a bag in it, took metal and silver bells. She also borrowed a toolbox which she promised to return when she had finished what she had to do.
Now she returned to her room.
