Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 91 Housing

Inside the Explorer's House

The group followed Adoma to a registration platform at the back.

"You can register your team here. I must take my leave now, but if you need any more help, feel free to come find me again."

With that, Yang Jiaomei turned and returned to her workstation.

The staff responsible for registering team information was not from an alien race, but an ordinary human girl.

She took out a form from the side and handed it to Kane and the others.

"Each team member needs one form, just fill in your basic information."

Kane picked it up and glanced at it. It was just basic information like name, age, and strength, not involving any personal privacy.

Then he distributed the other three forms to the group.

After they filled it out, they handed the forms back to the staff.

After taking the forms, the staff asked, "Do you want to give your team a name?"

"Is it necessary?"

"There's no strict rule for that."

"Then we'll decide later."

Upon hearing Kane's answer, the staff nodded.

Then she instructed them to come and pick up their team nameplates tomorrow.

Kane and the others went back to the front desk, greeted Adoma, and then left the Explorer's House.

Now they needed to follow the address on the business card to find a place to stay.

Looking at the address on the card, 26 Milan Street.

"Yo-Yo, point us the way."

Before coming back, Kane had given a map of the city to Yo-Yo to record.

Yo-Yo slid to the front to lead the way.

Speaking of which, Kane hadn't had a proper stroll around this city yet. Shortly after arriving, he was eager to go explore the dungeons.

Walking on the streets, he felt the ambiance of the entire city was a bit restless.

But the architectural style of the city overall had an elegant feel to it.

And the attire of the passing residents had a steam era look, with magic power machinery vehicles, resembling cars, occasionally bustling along the streets.

However, many primitive beast-drawn carriages were also on the streets, though the animals pulling them weren't just horses.

Following Yo-Yo's lead, they twisted and turned for a while.

They arrived on Milan Street, a residential area made up of various small villas.

Matching the house numbers, they finally found Number 26.

After knocking on the door

An elderly woman dressed quite elegantly answered.

She pushed up her slightly crooked brass-framed glasses on her nose, squinted, and craned her neck for a closer look.

"What can I do for you, young man?"

Kane quickly handed her the business card and said, "Adoma recommended you. I need a room to accommodate our team."

As he spoke, he moved aside to make space and show the team to the elderly woman.

The old lady glanced at the business card in hand, then adjusted her glasses to look at Kane's teammates.

"Hmm, you need it suitable for half-sized ones, too?"

With that, she stepped out, closed the door, and began walking leisurely to the side.

"Follow me, I just happen to have such a room."

Kane and the team hurried to follow.

They followed the old lady around a street corner to a small villa.

She reached into the void, and from her space equipment, pulled out a large set of keys.

Sticking the keys close to her eyes, she carefully searched through them.

In no time, she selected one key and unlocked the villa's front door.

"Come in with me."

With that, she walked into the room.

The whole villa was white, with a style similar to the surroundings, but seemed slightly larger than the nearby villas.

Kane led the way into the room, and the villa's front door was also notably larger than the other houses.

The old lady walked ahead, introducing the rooms as she went.

"This villa has two floors with three bathrooms, and there's a small yard at the back. Upstairs are three rooms, while downstairs there are two accommodations especially prepared for large-sized beings. All facilities consider both large and small size specifications."

Kane and the team explored around the house, and soon enough, everyone had a general understanding of the villa.

Kane asked his teammates, "How is it? Satisfied?"

Seeing them nod in agreement, indicating no issue.

Since his teammates were quite satisfied, it was time to ask about the price.

"We'd like to rent it for a week, how much would that be?"

"Only a week? That's a bit short. But since you're Adoma's friends, I'll charge you 80 gold."

Kane wasn't too familiar with house prices and could only trust Adoma's recommendation.

"Okay, that's settled." He agreed straightforwardly.

The old lady nodded.

"Then come over here and fill out some information."

Kane nodded, then turned to his team. "Go ahead and pick a room to settle in. I'll take one of the downstairs ones."

With that, he left the villa with the old lady.

The group began wandering inside the villa, searching for their desired rooms.

It wasn't long before Kane returned.

He distributed the villa keys to everyone and then headed to the first-floor room to place his personal items.

The first floor only had two rooms, both offering conveniences for large-sized races.

So the other room was assigned to Kreya.

After settling in, everyone gathered on the living room sofa.

"We'll each do what we like for the next few days. Yo-Yo, note the time five days from now and remind us in advance."

No one had any objections to Kane's suggestion.

Soon they all got up and began attending to their own matters.

Kane, however, left the villa and headed back to the Explorer's House.

Arriving there, he sought out Adoma again.

"Thank you, the recommended accommodation was really nice."

Adoma smiled and said, "Of course, Granny Kebo's son is a housing contractor in Lion City!"

Oh, no wonder.

"By the way, didn't you say you'd bring me a gift when you returned? Did you forget?"

Oh no, Kane had completely forgotten about that.

"Of course not, how could I forget?"

He said as he rummaged through his space equipment.

After searching for a while, he finally took out the single-use summoning artifact he had gotten earlier, a skull that could summon a skeleton soldier.

He handed the skull to Adoma.

Yang Jiaomei took the skull Kane handed over and rolled her eyes while looking at the gift.

"Don't underestimate it, this skull is a summoning artifact."

Kane tried to explain the gift.

"Oh really?" Adoma sounded a bit excited upon hearing this.

"Of course, although it's single-use, it can indeed summon a skeleton soldier after use."

"Is that so, thank you then."

With that, she placed the skull in her drawer.
