Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 296: The Gift of Fate

When Aiklonen realized Kane had many skills, the duel seemed to change.

He deliberately slowed down, adjusting his speed to be just a bit faster than Kane's, then attacked him.

Of course, he only slowed his speed, not his strength.

As the space solidified, Flashing could no longer be used.

"Your skills don't seem very well-practiced; it gives me a sense of blockage watching you,"

Aiklonen raised his questions but didn't stop his attacks to give Kane time to think.

He seemed to just be stating what he noticed and didn't need a response from Kane.

He stomped the ground forcefully, creating an energy impact beneath Kane that propelled him skyward.

As Kane was suddenly suspended in mid-air without a foothold, Aiklonen appeared behind him, swinging his fist forcefully.

However, a white spider silk suddenly appeared on Kane's right side, connecting him to an invisible pillar in the air, pulling him away.

"The synergy between these two skills is quite impressive; do you use them often?"

This was a strategy Kane devised while being relentlessly pursued and attacked by Aiklonen, using his Origin Skills to create invisible pivots within a 10-meter radius, which he connected using Spider Silk.

This allowed him to create skyscrapers in a place without any high structures.

Though he raised a question, Aiklonen continued to chase Kane, giving him no opportunity to answer, clearly not needing a response.

The duel with Aiklonen forced Kane to frequently pause and switch skills often.

After exchanging several skills, Aiklonen noticed a discrepancy.

"Aren't all the skills yours? It seems there are limitations; the action of switching skills is very apparent."

He observed that when Kane changed often-used skills, there was a sudden pause, and his movements became odd.

Once that action was performed, his regular skills were replaced by others.

Continuously making such motions was obvious, because in this space, skills could be switched freely, unlike in isolated battles outside where this would only occur once, so no one would find it strange.

People would just think he had many skills, Kane thought.

"So, this is your Origin Skill? A kind of skill transition?"

Once Aiklonen noticed Kane's behavior, he naturally classified this powerful skill as his Origin Skill.

Because Kane used so many skills, Aiklonen naturally considered this the most potent ability he discovered, deeming it Kane's fundamental capability.

During the pursuit of Kane, Aiklonen continuously voiced his analyses of Kane's various abilities.

Kane didn't respond to Aiklonen's remarks, nor did he have time to think of a reply, merely focusing on dodging his attacks.

Facing Aiklonen's relentless attacks from every direction, Kane had to continuously create various mechanical contraptions to hinder his movements.

A leg kicked a transparent creation that suddenly appeared before him, a long spear materialized in his hand, which he forcefully hurled towards Kane.

Having swung away to a distance with Spider Silk, Kane saw the spear, and his Eagle Eye contracted instantly as he tried to dodge, but the spear's air pressure still grazed his waist, creating a large gash.

Aiklonen then suddenly accelerated, appearing behind Kane in an instant, landing a punch on solid flesh.

He had almost fully grasped Kane's attacking techniques and skill combinations, as Kane hadn't shown new skills for a while, only switching between familiar skills.

Now it was time to end the battle, as Kane's assessment was complete.

Experience the sensation of death.

Feeling a bizarre energy entering his body from the back, his entire being seemed to tear apart suddenly, with no time to think as a darkness engulfed him.

Kane was shattered into pieces by the punch, then reappeared at the center of the platform.

"Hah! Hah!" Now at the center of the platform, Kane panted heavily; the sensation of death was too realistic.

Aiklonen appeared in front of him.

He asked his final question: "I noticed there are two skills you didn't switch out and continuously used. Why? Are you able to completely master them from your array of switching skills?"

He observed that Kane consistently used one visual skill and one skill for creating objects out of thin air, regardless of other skill transitions.

So he asked this question.

Confronting Aiklonen's question, Kane could only nod silently; just a duel with this old man had revealed all his secrets.

"That's truly an enviable gift,"

Facing Kane's absurd Origin Skill, he couldn't help but marvel at his talent.

This skill is ridiculously exaggerated.

"Hahaha!"

Suddenly, he clasped his head and burst into laughter, the white hair and his training clothes fluttering wildly with his laughter.

With his laughter, his entire aura climbed higher, not just affecting Kane in front of him but suffocating everyone present.

He widened his eyes, the excitement verging on madness, saying to Kane: "It's truly fortunate, like destiny brought us together. Boy, you'll thank me, thank this fateful meeting."

His hand then turned into a blur, inserting into his own head, and took out a blue-glowing orb.

He forcefully thrust it into Kane's body.

Kane rubbed the spot where the orb entered, frowning at Aiklonen's actions: "What did you toss into my body?"

"Ha ha ha," amidst laughter, Aiklonen kept patting Kane's shoulder.

"Alright, don't speak. Sit cross-legged quickly, close your eyes, and carefully feel the knowledge and information appearing in your mind. Learn it."

Feeling the suddenly appearing information and knowledge in his mind, Kane had no choice but to sit cross-legged, close his eyes, and insert Fast Reading into his Skill Grid.

Then, he rapidly absorbed the knowledge that had fused into his mind.
