Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 204: Powerless Demon

On the wasteland.

Under the cover of night, not far behind Kane and his group, two demons were observing them.

Both of these demons belonged to the same species, yet different from the demons Kane had encountered before.

Their bodies were not the characteristic dark red, but completely black, without any reflectivity, even possessing a certain light-absorbing attribute.

This kind of skin granted them strong concealment at night. They had no demonic goat horns on their heads but a single horn protruding forward.

A grotesque, ugly face was dotted with four eyes, each with square pupils. Their figure was not as tall as other demons but rather slender, and the bat wings on their back seemed completely unable to fly, appearing quite short.

The only seemingly aggressive parts of them were the sharp hooked claws on their hands and a long, thin tail with a scorpion-like sharp barb.

They are the most dangerous presence in the Demon Legion, insidious, cunning assassins hiding in the shadows, the Night Demons.

"Why don't we rush up and tear those pathetic ants to shreds and gobble them up instead of sneaking around observing?"

One of the Night Demons asked in a hoarse voice like a saw cutting through steel, with a mouthful of sharp teeth.

"How would I know? It's the order of Bartos, my lord. Why? Do you dare defy him? If we lose him, Bartos will surely twist our heads off and feed them to that damn mutt beside him."

The mention of Bartos, the lord, seemed highly intimidating, and after saying this, the other Night Demon quieted down, not speaking anymore.

"Hey, wait a minute, it seems like they're rushing towards us."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's kill them. Bartos didn't tell us what to do if we got discovered. Now it's free time."

Once discovered, the two demons showed no sign of wanting to escape, their eyes full of bloodthirsty desire.

However, they didn't notice a cloud mysteriously floating above their heads.

A gray figure more than five meters tall crashed down, directly hitting one of the Night Demons with this sudden attack.

The other Night Demon didn't seem to intend to provide support, quickly dodging to the side.

However, Kreya, transforming into a ghostly white figure, already charged beside him, a golden sword blade slashing towards him.

This strike was keenly sensed by the demon, gripping the sword blade tightly with its sharp hooked claw, while its other hand swiftly swung towards Kreya, the claw glowing with a faint red light.

Kreya could sense the energy attached to this claw that could harm her spiritual body, and in a flash, a shield appeared on her other arm to block the attack.

As they were locked in a stalemate, spider silk emitting a faint light shot over, entwining the Night Demon's arms, pulling them forcefully towards the direction of the spider silk.

On the other side, Longbei, after hitting the Night Demon, swung a giant hammer directly, hitting its body.

Yet this attack was blocked by a shield that suddenly appeared on the Night Demon, giving it time to adjust its somewhat unbalanced form.

Two rainbow beams instantly arrived, piercing through the shield, followed by a few stars crashing down on it.

At the moment the shield was destroyed, it rolled back forcefully, but an unexpected giant hook caught it, dragging it towards Longbei.

On the path of being dragged, it also collided with the incoming rainbow stars.

The Night Demons were not known for their defense power or constitution. Their strength lay in stealth and agility, along with their powerful attacks.

Both Night Demons had their attention fully focused on Kane and Kreya, who were charging at them, completely ignoring the others hiding above them.

With Longbei's sudden crash, they lost all their advantage, falling into a highly passive situation.

Unable to launch sudden and lethal attacks while hidden, they were stuck in a desperate struggle without finding any chance to escape.

The white giant hammer, shimmering with faint golden light, equivalent to half its size, combined with the injuries from the colliding colorful stars, left it with no ability to fight back, being relentlessly attacked.

The already fragile body was also ravaged by penetrating Holy Light, and within moments, it fell to the ground and turned into a heap of ashes.

Elsewhere.

With the powerful restraining ability brought by Kane's spider silk, that Night Demon stood no chance, relentlessly hacked by Kreya's golden sword blade.

This Night Demon seemed much stronger than the other, the sudden shield on its body blocking many of Kreya's attacks.

The subsequent shield explosion severed the spider silk wrapped around its wrist, forcing Kreya to retreat.

Once free, the Night Demon quickly retreated, slowly fading away, but just then, a protrusion suddenly appeared beneath its feet, lifting it up, forcing it to reveal itself.

Then suddenly, a blue hand appeared above its head, and a bottle of blue potion smashed over its head, with extreme cold elements covering its whole body, freezing it in place.

A slender crystal long spear extended over, directly piercing it and pinning it to the ground, as a golden light blade cut through its neck, severing its head.

The ugly head rolled to the side, following the rest of the body, turning into ashes on the ground.

This crystal long spear was no less than nine meters long and retracted under Kane's control, returning to its original diamond crystal form.

The two demons roaming in the night, engaging in powerful slaughters, were inexplicably detained, facing head-on in battle, utterly incapable of resisting, slain on the spot.

Sifting through the ashes, two magic items entered the space equipment once more.

The malicious gaze that had been lingering around Kane and his group also vanished without a trace.

Clearing the traces along the road, they mounted their warhorses once more, rushing towards the areas in need of support.

...

The sun rose in the east and set in the west, entering the night once again.

After two days and nights of rushing and support.

Kane and his team patrolled almost all human residences fallen within the first line of defense.

All teams that could be rescued were rescued by them.

All the monsters and demons they encountered along the way were wiped out without leaving a single one.

With the moon rising once again, as the night fell upon them, they finally stopped, preparing to find a hidden spot to rest for the night.

The next day, they planned to return within the second line of defense.
