Chapter 203 Night Stalking
When Kane skated over, Longbei immediately ran up.
"Hey bro, that thing looks pretty neat."
Longbei looked at the skateboard under Kane's feet with some interest.
Hearing his words, Kane knew exactly what he wanted to do: "I'll make one for you, but it can only exist within 10 meters of me, otherwise it will disappear."
As soon as he finished speaking, a custom skateboard appeared in front of Longbei.
"How do you play with this thing?"
"Just step on with one foot and push hard with the other foot, that's all."
"Easy," Longbei nodded, stepping on it right away, but then the smooth wheels quickly knocked him to the ground: "This thing is a bit tricky to maneuver after all."
Though it was hard to handle and he fell on his first attempt, Longbei seemed genuinely interested in the skateboard and began to experiment with it non-stop.
After watching him for a couple of seconds, Kane stopped paying attention to him and moved over to Kreya's side.
"How are things looking now?"
In response to Kane's question, Kreya tilted her head indicating the place where the crowd was gathered: "Meizike is treating those Knights, it shouldn't take long to finish. Oh, and here's the loot dropped by the Demons we just eliminated, you should keep it."
She handed a bunch of Magic Items to Kane.
Kane didn't take a closer look and stored everything uniformly into the Space Equipment.
Soon, with the joint efforts of Meizike and the Saintess, the injuries of those wounded almost stabilized.
The Saintess removed the white-gold bordered hood from her head and approached, holding her large Golden Scepter.
Her refined features, flowing golden long hair, and a golden headband with countless Emeralds and intricate patterns on her forehead dazzled the eyes.
She bent down in a salute in front of Kane and the others.
"Thank you, Warriors, for your assistance, otherwise I and these innocent lives would be facing the wrath of my deity."
"No need for words, this is something we should do. We are currently rescuing the remaining forces in this area. Can you tell me which parts of the map you and these civilians come from? So we can avoid those places and rescue more people."
Upon hearing Kane's words, Yoyo cooperatively projected a map into midair.
The Saintess, though surprised by their actions, knew how to distinguish priorities and promptly pointed to the virtual map in front.
"In the towns along this road from here to that small town, all lives were saved by us. I hope this information can help you."
After Yoyo took note of the information, she began to re-plan the route.
Kane told the Saintess, "We have more places to rescue, so we'll be taking our leave. Please be safe on your return journey."
"May my deity bless you."
After bidding farewell to the Saintess, Kane mounted his horse, and his teammates returned to their respective steeds, continuing forward under Yoyo's guidance.
The Saintess stood there quietly watching Kane and the others disappear from her vision.
A Knight beside her couldn't help but remind, "Saintess, it's time for us to set off; we still have a long way to go to reach the second line of defense."
"Yes, let's move."
The Saintess then began to organize her soldiers and Knights, surrounding the civilians in the middle, slowly advancing toward the direction of the second line of defense.
Time began to slowly pass in the Dungeon; after all, this Dungeon was not the Copper Dungeon anymore, every change of day and night and weather was reflected clearly here.
From the Silver Dungeon onward, unless there was something special about them, all Dungeons would begin to resemble the inherent Attributes of their world, where environmental changes are dynamic instead of static.
Various monsters no longer resemble mechanical beings like in the Copper Dungeon, but are closer to their original personalities, more intelligent and agile.
The sun in the Dungeon sky began to disappear gradually, replaced by a half-red crescent moon; night fell.
Along the way, Kane and his team continued to support any encountered squads and wiped out all the monsters and Demons they could see.
On the barren field, taking advantage of the night, Kane and his team slowed their pace, and began to eat simple rations from their Space Equipment, while on horseback.
As for setting up camp to rest, that wasn't necessary. Having reached the Silver level, even days and nights of constant action wouldn't greatly affect their combat abilities.
Even for the horses beneath Kane and Meizike, despite this long journey, there seemed to be no notable exhaustion, but thinking about it, it made sense; this is a world with extraordinary powers, and even horses are far stronger compared to the past world.
Kane rode his warhorse to Kreya's side.
"Did you feel it?"
"Yes."
Perhaps Kane and their arrogant actions all the way attracted too much attention. Ever since night fell, they could feel a gaze filled with Malice seemingly trained on them.
However, these malicious creatures did not act, and instead kept closely following behind them.
Once Kreya confirmed she felt the same as him, Kane communicated via the Ruby Lapel Pin on his collar.
"Meizike, conduct ultra-long-range reconnaissance behind us, and keep hidden."
Upon hearing Kane's communication, Meizike immediately began using his Origin Skills combined with Eagle Eye.
The release distance of Eye of Magic Power and Hand of Magic depends on the precise range Meizike can perceive or see clearly.
The Eye on Cotton Candy transformed into Eagle Eye, and once Eagle Eye recognized the furthest distance, another Eye appeared.
When this Eye also turned into Eagle Eye, the reconnaissance distance improved significantly.
Sure enough, in the distance, a clear magic response could be seen.
Two silver magic responses over three meters high were clearly imprinted in Meizike's eyes.
Meizike communicated the information he saw including direction and distance to his teammates via the Ruby Lapel Pin.
Thus the team started discussing via the Ruby Lapel Pin.
Those two monsters following must be eliminated, as there's no point in constantly guarding against thieves.
"Lilu and Longbei, ride Cotton Candy into the sky and slowly approach the position of those two monsters, control and destroy one of them. Kreya and I will rush to the other at our fastest speed, restrain and eliminate it."
A very simple and straightforward plan, devoid of technical content.
Yet perhaps it would be the most effective approach.
