Chapter 193 Enter
The next morning.
In Kreya's room, Kane and the others gathered here.
"Is all the logistical food prepared?"
"No problem."
"That's good. After all, for the dungeon we're tackling this time, there's no option to quit halfway. The only way out is by using the Town Recall Scroll, but then we won't have the chance to enter this dungeon again to get the last Rune Key."
The rest of the team, having recharged with a full night's rest, was now mentally prepared to explore the new dungeon. Before that, they needed to confirm whether all the necessary supplies had been prepared.
To ensure this exploration is flawless, as this time the dungeon offers no room for mistakes, not even the chance to quit halfway.
After confirming everything, the team left the inn and headed out of the city.
On the way, Kane encountered many Explorers with goals similar to theirs.
Along the road outside the city, they soon saw a Mist Watch Station, with the flag of the Mist Council fluttering at the entrance.
Entering directly, they saw the dungeon's Teleportation Platform standing boldly in the open space ahead.
Although there were quite a few Explorers, it wasn't enough to form a queue. Kane and the others registered their information with the clerk at the front.
The staff nearby kept inquiring if they were aware of information about this dungeon, offering pre-edited booklets for reference if needed.
Hoping these Explorers would not recklessly explore the dungeon on mere impulse.
This puzzled Kane a bit; were there still rash individuals despite being Silver explorers?
Without further thought, he followed his teammates directly onto the Teleportation Platform.
A flash of blue light, and Kane and his group disappeared on the spot.
On the floating platform in the starry sky, Kane looked around.
This floating platform was located far from the Star River they once knew.
On either side of the platform, two thin Star Rivers extended into the distance, unlike the thick river they remembered before.
"This time, the platform is really far away from before."
Longbei, observing the surroundings, voiced this doubt.
Kreya, seemingly knowledgeable about this situation, explained: "From the position of the floating platform connected to the dungeon in the starry sky, you can determine which direction the entrance of this dungeon lies in the world."
So most of the dungeons in the north see these two narrow Star Rivers, huh?
After admiring the view for a moment, the team began checking their Equipment to ensure everything was intact for a final confirmation.
"Ready? Then let's go."
Saying this, Kane took the lead and stepped into the Mist Gate.
It felt as though he passed through a thin, gentle membrane, and the starry sky shifted to a dusky sky.
A fierce sun hung on the mountainside within sight, the distant sky burnt red.
Kane found himself in a mountain hollow, with his view partially obscured, unable to see the surrounding environment clearly.
Once Kreya and the others followed, they organized the group and moved towards the exit of the hollow.
They stood on a small hill no more than ten meters high. Not far down the slope was a destroyed village with some of its buildings still aflame.
The scent of blood wafted through the breeze, reaching Kane and the others' position, indicating that the village's destruction had not been long ago.
Activating Eagle Eye, Kane scanned the village.
In the entire village, only a few scattered Magic Power signatures were moving, but judging from their forms, they didn't seem to be human.
Their sizes were perhaps only half that of a human.
"Be alert, there are reactions in the village ahead."
With that, the team cautiously approached the village.
The closer they got, the thicker the scent of blood became, reaching an acrid intensity that indicated the massacre in the village was gruesomely brutal.
Kane and his team slowly neared the outside of a low, wooden house in the village, where a Magic Power reaction was crouched on the other side.
They could hear faint chewing sounds coming from there, which made Kane frown with an ominous feeling.
Signaling to his team, they instantly surrounded the figure.
What they saw made everyone frown deeply.
A small creature with no skin, its body exposed with raw flesh, crouched while chewing on the remains of an intelligent being on the ground.
From the size of the corpse, it appeared to be a child.
The creature sensed their presence and instantly looked up, bulging its eyes wide open. It had no lips, revealing sharp, jagged yellow teeth with bits of flesh stuck to them.
Yet, before it could react, a bright star struck it into ashes.
Everyone turned to look at the attacker, who was Lirulu.
Lirulu's face was flushed, a rarity where her emotions showed anger, with her usual rainbow aura turning into a form of burning Fury.
A pair of hands reached out to embrace the furious Lirulu.
Kreya comforted Lirulu in her arms while signaling to Kane and the others.
Subsequently, Kane pulled out a Launcher, armed himself, and moved towards the other Magic Power reactions with Longbei.
All the creatures reflected by these Magic Power reactions were similar to the first one and engaged in the same behavior.
These creatures were extremely weak.
Even Meizike could take them out with a single punch, not to underestimate Meizike now, of course. His Silver Sublimation made his Constitution comparable to that of a Copper warrior, facing battles with ease.
After eliminating all the creatures and also cremating the bodies they had desecrated.
Kane could understand why Lirulu was so enraged; her anger stemmed not from the act of chewing on corpses but specifically because it was a child's corpse.
Lirulu is the Spirit of Fairy Tales, born as a guardian of children. Her actions, Skills, and even her usual attacks are filled with fairy-tale qualities, like something out of a dream.
Witnessing such an innocent, beautiful existence vanish before her eyes, only to be desecrated after death.
How could she not be furious?
Just as Kane and the others were dealing with these creatures and bodies, Lirulu, along with Kreya, appeared beside them.
Lirulu seemed to have calmed down from her anger, but now her face was full of urgency.
"Quick, help Lirulu search; there's still a life surviving here, calling for her help."
Though uncertain of the situation, everyone scattered and began searching through the shattered village.
