Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 125: The Will of the Dungeon?

According to the map thrown by Yoyo, Kane started adjusting his position.

Feeling almost there, Kane began to recreate the Steel Snakes he had pinched before.

Then he controlled the two Steel Snakes to frantically dig holes on the ground.

Under the frantic excavation of the two drills, the slab blocking the top of the tunnel was dug out in less than two minutes.

A tunnel with stairs extended downward.

Seeing the tunnel appear, everyone looked at each other.

"I'll lead the way," said Longbei, the front row of the team, without hesitation.

Looking at the space in the tunnel and then at her own size, Kreya said helplessly, "I'll wait for you up here."

Regarding Kreya's size issue, everyone was also at a loss.

Then the team proceeded into the tunnel with Longbei leading and Kane at the back.

When the four entered the tunnel, they originally expected the surroundings to be quite dark. Unexpectedly, the surroundings seemed to detect someone entering and immediately lit up two light strips.

Kane observed the environment inside the tunnel.

The entire tunnel, from the stairs to the surrounding walls, seemed to be reinforced with an unknown metal.

With the light strips on, they reflected the metallic luster.

Touching it with his hand, he could still feel the cold texture of the metal.

This indeed fit the setting of the Mechanical Race.

After walking some distance, they could feel the entire tunnel trending downward in a winding manner.

After about 10 minutes of walking, they finally saw a wide-open metal door ahead.

From outside the door, the interior space was already illuminated with white light.

With Eagle Eye open, Kane cautiously peered inside.

From the gap of the already open door, it seemed that the space inside was empty, with nothing on the bare ground.

Kane pondered for a moment.

Then he took out the magic item to summon goblins from his Space Equipment.

After using the item, a group of goblins appeared before Kane.

"Go in through the door."

The goblins rushed into the room in a flurry after hearing Kane's command.

Although the goblins could no longer keep up with Kane and his team's strength now,

they were still very suitable for triggering traps, so Kane kept them in his space for eventual needs.

Seeing the goblins safely entering the room and making noise inside,

after confirming the safety, Longbei led everyone into the room.

The entire room seemed to be constructed of bright silver metal, reflecting the cold metallic sheen under the wall lights.

The walls were etched with very standard, square patterns.

The entire space was devoid of any items, completely bare.

"So, is this just an empty room?" Longbei asked with some confusion, looking at the empty environment.

Kane looked at the patterns on the surrounding walls, pondering where the problem might be.

"Stop making noise."

Upon hearing Kane's order, the goblins around instantly stood straight, closed their mouths, and looked at him.

Just as the goblins stood still, the one wearing a leather hat couldn't resist pushing the goblin with a stick beside it.

The two goblins pushed back and forth, then ended up wrestling, with other goblins quickly joining in.

They'd been quiet for less than 5 seconds before they started making noise again.

Kane shook his head helplessly.

"Let's spread out and see where there might be an issue."

Everyone began to check the walls for any mechanisms.

They felt around the walls, unable to detect any mechanism.

Only Yoyo emitted a beam from its eye on its head, scanning the wall carefully.

"There's an issue here."

Upon hearing Yoyo's voice, everyone gathered quickly.

Yoyo hovered in mid-air with its rotor, pointing at a section of the wall.

Kane raised his hand and placed it where Yoyo pointed, then pressed down hard.

That area indeed sank downward.

Then they could clearly feel the entire space beginning to shake.

Longbei raised his shield, instantly positioning himself in front of everyone. Kane also conjured several Steel Walls to encircle the group.

Gripping their weapons, they watched alertly in the direction of the vibrations.

The wall at the front of the room began to fold away to the sides in layers.

Then another large door appeared before Kane and the others.

The vibrations gradually ceased.

Looking inside through the door.

The overall style didn't differ from the outer room, except in the middle there was a pedestal with an irregular metal sphere on display.

"Go inside."

He gave the goblins the command again.

Upon hearing Kane, the goblins unhesitantly rushed into the inner space.

Seeing nothing problematic happen after the goblins were inside, everyone cautiously moved toward the room.

Just as they entered the room,

the sphere in the middle began transforming with a clicking sound.

Cautiously watching the transforming sphere.

As it transformed, the sphere's surface formed into a face-like shape, turning into a mechanical head.

The eyes on the face opened, with blue light flickering from them.

Yet the blue light didn't turn red, and an elderly mechanical-synthesized voice emitted from its mouth.

"Flesh creatures, why have you come here?"

This was one of the rarely intelligent beings in the Copper Dungeon.

But right after saying this, it suddenly froze up, then closed its eyes.

It emitted a humming sound from its mouth.

Kane and the others continued to watch the mechanical head cautiously.

After a while, the head reopened its eyes.

"Ah, so the world has already fragmented, it has ultimately failed?"

From its mechanical synthesized voice, Kane and the others still sensed a feeling of desolation.

"Flesh creatures, would you help me with a favor?"

"Who are you, and why should we help you?"

For Kane's question, it leisurely replied.

"This World Fragment has no will. I am the will of this fragment now. If you help me with this task, I'll peacefully integrate this fragment into your world. How about it? Quite a profitable deal, right?"

Upon hearing it, the Mist Badge on Kane's chest emitted a warm flow.

Then a message appeared in Kane's mind.

It was a transmission from the Mist.

The message was that she had already negotiated with the Dungeon, and Kane and the others could safely help the current iron head.

Since the Mist gave her personal assurance, they had to help anyway.

"Alright, what is it you need?"

Next to him, Longbei and the others, who hadn't received the message from the Mist, looked surprised when they heard Kane.

But out of trust for Kane, they didn't interrupt their conversation.

"Take me to the center of this region first, take me out of here, and I'll explain it slowly once we're outside."
