Chapter 102 Attempt to Transform
This Steel Snake is called the Raider, and from the name, it's clear that this mechanical creation is designed for sinister ambushes.
Its triangular head can spin quickly, forming a drill, allowing it to move swiftly underground.
It can suddenly burrow out from the ground and launch a deadly attack when the opportunity arises.
Its head can also be fired out to directly penetrate objects, finally pulling the punctured target back with the chains connected to the head, or controlling it.
Unfortunately, this house can't display its ability to move underground, but at least we can see the power of its head-firing capability.
Once again, I retrieved our old friend from the Space Equipment.
A log was placed on the table since the Raider doesn't have a floating mechanism, it can only move and attack on the ground.
With the output of Magic Power, the transparent Steel Snake on the ground began to move, slithering forward with almost imperceptible sound.
I controlled it to keep a distance of five or six meters from the small log, then raised its head aiming at the target.
"Bang"
With a burst of sound, the head was launched out directly, stabbing into the log on the table, where the exposed part extended four hooks to grip the entire log.
Then, a slender chain connecting the head to the body pulled the log back as Kane controlled the body of the mechanical snake.
Immediately, the body was activated, the chain was quickly pulled, and in less than a second, the log was dragged back.
Kane crouched down to remove the log from the mouth of the mechanical creation, and the area that was hit was a mess.
If this hit a monster, the power would be remarkable, and it could hide underground, very secretive.
He threw the log into the Space Equipment, then lifted the mechanical creation with his hands, wanting to install the floating mechanism inside.
Magic Power surged from his hands, modifying the Raider, as Kane constructed a floating device at a suitable position inside.
This device wasn't very difficult, and Kane didn't spend much effort to construct it.
Controlling the Magic Power to float the Raider, the Raider on the table wobbly floated up, but it just floated, unable to fly back and forth, left and right, or up and down as Kane wished.
Seeing the situation, Kane slapped his forehead.
Of course.
This is just a floating device, without any auxiliary parts to control direction.
Kane picked up the Raider, intending to add auxiliary components for direction control.
After researching for a while, Kane didn't know how to modify it, adding a floating device was already his limit.
Wanting to continue modifying this mechanical body, Kane's knowledge of mechanical engineering was clearly insufficient.
Even if forcibly created, it would be a useless junk piece, unable to perform its original functions and damaging the delicate structure.
He dismissed the Raider, realizing he should continue reading to supplement his knowledge before attempting modifications again.
Looking up towards the window, it unknowingly turned dark outside, losing track of time while researching.
He stepped out of the room.
He saw Longbei lying on the sofa with a book, and judging by the font on the back, it's the novel titled "Dragon Sword".
Kane remembered seeing this book somewhere before, it seems to be a novel.
He was apparently bored to the point that he took up reading a book, even if it wasn't something serious.
Seeing Kane come out of the room, Longbei leapt up joyfully, tossing the book onto the table.
"You finally came out; how is it everyone loves shutting themselves in rooms? I'm bored to death."
Kane grabbed a cup, poured some water, and handed it to Cotton Candy nearby.
Then he sat down next to Longbei.
"So bored, why not find something to do?"
"What can I do?"
"How about forging?"
"What a stereotype; I really don't like holding a hammer and pounding on a pile of scrap metal. That's just too boring."
The two of them chatted back and forth.
Before long, Meizike emerged from his room and came down to the living room.
Kane looked at the two and suddenly asked, "Now that Kreya has gone back, here's the problem, which of you two can cook?"
"Although my brother is a chef, I'm completely hopeless," he said while scratching his head.
Meizike shook his head to indicate he couldn't cook.
"Looks like I'll have to do it myself."
When Kane first arrived, he was very confident in his Culinary Skill, until he tasted Kreya and Burton's cooking.
Now it was time to revive an old trade.
He stood up, walked into the kitchen, and saw that Kreya had thoughtfully placed ingredients for the next few days in a small box there.
To be honest, he's most confident in simple barbecue, so after preparing the meat ingredients from the box, he placed them directly on.
Start grilling.
He kept flipping various ingredients on the grill, occasionally using a small knife to cut into the meat.
He took out Kreya's prepared marinade and evenly applied it on top.
Got to admire the woman's thoughtfulness, knowing the only thing Kane could handle and prepared everything he needed in advance.
When the aroma from the grill burst forth, Kane took off the grilled meats and various vegetables.
He extinguished the stove, divided the various foods into three portions, placed them on plates, and served them.
The three sat at the table, eyeing the food, as Longbei cut a piece and put it into his mouth.
"Not bad, brother, better than I imagined."
Longbei thought Kane was a novice, only cooking out of necessity, surprisingly it was fine, though not as good as Kreya and Burton.
But better than himself and made nothing odd tasting.
Not particularly delicious, but not hard to eat either.
Kane ignored him, quietly eating the food on his plate.
Just one day after Kreya left, Kane was already missing her, captive to her Culinary Skill.
After finishing the meal, Kane handed the plates to the two.
"Alright, cleaning up is your job now."
Once everything was finished, the three sat on the sofa again.
"So boring," Longbei sighed again.
Kane and Meizike picked up books, reading, disinterested in dealing with Longbei's complaints.
Longbei's eyes wandered inattentively, suddenly seeing Kane's pet, Yoyo, at his feet.
He beckoned Yoyo.
Antenna-? Though puzzled, it still slid over.
"Hehe, Yoyo, aren't you learning how intelligent races communicate lately? Let me assist you as your practice partner."
"Really? Thank you."
Kane looked up, somewhat speechlessly at Longbei, truly astonished.
