Chapter 520: 519: Supreme Sword Sect
"Ryan Houtz?"
Corey tilted his head with furrowed brows when he heard the name of the young man who possessed an intent.
He looked at Ryan from his head to his toe once again, and then he looked at his wrists. When he noticed the absence of the U-Watch on either of his wrists, he furrowed his brows in thought.
'He's an Outsider… He's from one of the outside forces of the Underworld.'
Just as Corey had this thought, Ryan gave a reply to Corey's previous words with a slight nod.
"Exactly, Ryan Houtz. What's your name?"
Corey shifted his gaze to Ryan's deep gray eyes and stared at them for a few seconds before giving a reply.
"Smile Reaper."
"Hm?"
Ryan tilted his head with raised brows. A second later, he furrowed his brows with a pondering expression.
"An alias huh…" Ryan mumbled softly, and then he stared into Corey's pure white eyes.
"I've never heard of you before, and neither have the elders told me about you before. Did you join the Underworld recently or did you choose not to expose your abilities?"
"My abilities?" Corey tilted his head with his brows raised.
Ryan's smile widened slightly, and then he gestured at Corey.
"My senses are very sharp you see. Even though you're three tiers below me, my senses keep telling me that you're dangerous even to me… Do you know how absurd that is?"
"Hmm."
Corey hummed indifferently and calmly, but Ryan's expression remained the same. His smile widened slightly, and then he stroked the sword on his lap.
"I can also sense a familiar power in you."
Ryan's voice resounded in Corey's mind, and Corey's expression turned sharp for a moment. Ryan was communicating directly into his mind.
"You also have an intent… And if I'm correct," Ryan paused and glanced at Corey's axe. "You have an axe intent."
Corey tilted his head and stared at Ryan without a change in his expression, but Ryan's smile remained.
"You don't have to give me a reply by the way since I'm guessing you don't know how to communicate like this, but I won't lie that I'm not curious as to how you were able to develop your axe intent… Axe intent is extremely rare.'
"Just know that we're being watched by everybody in the Underworld."
Ryan said with the same light same smile, and Corey hummed softly. He took a glance at his surroundings for a few seconds before shifting his gaze back to Ryan.
Seeing that Ryan was no longer speaking, Corey decided to ask the most important question on his mind.
"Which outside force do you belong to?"
Ryan blinked with a slightly surprised expression, and then he chuckled.
"For a moment, I forgot that you were an Underworld resident and not from the outside world."
Ryan chuckled softly, and Corey raised his brows.
'I guess he's from a top-tier force?' Corey thought with an internal shrug. Your adventure continues at empire
"I'm from the Supreme Sword Sect. If you ever come to the Supreme Sword Sect in the future, look for the Houtz clan and you'll be able to meet me."
Ryan said with a tone that contained subtle pride, however, Corey's expression remained indifferent.
'If he expects me to be surprised at the mention of the Supreme Sword Sect, then he's sure to be disappointed.'
Unlike Divine who might have reacted differently at the mention of the Supreme Sword Sect, Corey's expression and reaction were one of indifference.
What he knew about the forces and organizations outside the Underworld was extremely little, talk less of a top-tier sect like the Supreme Sword Sect.
When Ryan noticed Corey's lack of reaction, his right eye could not help but twitch. Although he was slightly frustrated at Corey's lack of reaction, he was not surprised by it since he expected it.
Corey was from the Underworld, and the leaders of the Underworld had made sure to limit the amount of information the Underworld residents could obtain.
In fact, he would have been surprised if Corey knew of the Supreme Sword Sect.
He released a sigh while shaking his head, and then he slowly released his crossed legs and sat with his legs dangling from the boulder.
"How did you get here? You don't look like somebody that arrived here on the first day."
Corey frowned slightly. "Where is this place?"
Ryan's eyes widened slightly in surprise, "You don't know this place?"
Corey's expression remained indifferent and he gave no reply. The surprise in Ryan's gaze increased, and he could not help but shake his head.
"I'm truly surprised you don't know the Shattered Sea."
"The Shattered Sea?"
This time around, Corey's eyes widened in surprise and Ryan noticed this. He frowned in confusion when he saw Corey's surprised expression.
"So you know of this place?"
Corey shook his head, and then he shifted his gaze to the colossal waterfall in the distance.
"I've only read of it in books. It was described as one of the death zones of the shattered dimension, but there was very little information about it in the books I read."
"Is that so?" Ryan tilted his head with a confused expression, and Corey turned to look at him with a slight frown.
"What?"
"Well, from what I know, there's a lot of information on the Shattered Sea. I mean, it's one of the most popular locations even if it's a death zone."
"Most popular location?" Corey furrowed his brows and Ryan nodded.
"The Shattered Sea is a popular location because it's one of the most beautiful locations in this mad world of the Old Ones."
Corey blinked, and then he turned towards the Titanic waterfall in the distance before shifting his gaze to the black and muddy part of the sea.
'I guess… it has some beauty to it?'
Corey thought with a slightly baffled expression, and when Ryan saw Corey's expression, he could not help but chuckle.
Corey looked at him, and Ryan immediately stopped with a light smile.
"How about I tell you about the Shattered Sea?"
