Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 519: 518: Ryan Houtz

As the massive tentacles broke out of the sea with a terrifying force towards Corey, Corey's eyes widened in shock, and he cursed.

Without hesitation, he teleported back to the shell of the crystal turtle.

WOOSH!

Massive waves were formed as a result of the movement of the tentacles. Although these waves were massive, they could barely reach past the legs of the crystalline turtle and the legs of other beasts.

As the tentacles swayed and moved haphazardly, Corey observed it with a solemn gaze, his Genesis Armament in his right hand, and his mana primed to unleash any skill or combination of skills.

From what he could sense, the tentacles were connected to a beast or abomination that was at least Tier 5.

A strange sound resounded across the sea, and Corey's eyes widened when he felt the ground beneath his feet or to be more accurate, the turtle beneath his feet moved.

Corey staggered, and then he snapped his head up to the sky and stared at the tentacles which were moving towards him.

'Oh shit.'

The turtle beneath him trembled, and Corey saw it raise its head at the massive tentacles that were approaching it.

The turtle let out another strange sound and in the blink of an eye, two more similar heads appeared beside the head, and Corey realized that the turtle had three heads instead of one.

The two heads had been hiding inside the crystalline shell.

As Corey gazed at the three heads of the turtle, to his surprise, he realized that the massive turtle was similar to a peak tier 4. It was infinitely close to a Tier 5.

Although Corey was slightly surprised by the power of the turtle, he knew he did not have time. He had to leave.

He turned towards the nearest beast, and it was an elephant with mountains and rocks on it.

The space around Corey rippled, and he vanished.

The second after he teleported away, the massive tentacles reached the crystal turtle, and the three heads of the crystal turtle unleashed a piercing screech.

The three heads opened their jaws and a large amount of water blasted out of their mouth at the massive tentacles. The tentacles were pushed back for a moment, but then they moved towards the crystal turtle at a faster speed and with a more ferocious intent.

As the tentacles approached the crystal turtle, its shell glowed with a bright light of constantly changing colours, and then multiple beams of light flew out from the crystal shell.

The beams of light reached the tentacles at the speed of the light, and before the tentacles could respond, the beams of light tore several holes into the tentacles.

The tentacles swayed for a few seconds, and then they fell back into the water with their bodies bleeding black blood.

The three heads of the turtle swayed and stared at the blood-stained sea with cold but wary eyes. Some seconds later, the two heads that appeared later on stopped moving and they slowly went back inside the shell which had stopped glowing.

The remaining head released what seemed to be like a snort, but Corey who was far away could see a drop of dark blue liquid drop from the entrance of the crystalline shell.

'It's injured.'

Corey thought with slightly furrowed brows for a few seconds, and then he looked away. He turned to his back, and there he saw a man sitting cross-legged on a boulder.

"Wow… Are you sure you're actually a Tier 2? You were able to react faster than a Tier 2 would, and you can also teleport… Who are you?"

The man asked, however, Corey did not reply and observed the young man instead.

The young man's appearance was striking, with sharp features that immediately caught the eye. He had deep grey eyes and black hair that was slightly messy. Stay connected via empire

His hair fell naturally around his face which gave him a carefree yet refined look. The strands caught the light in a way that made it seem like his hair had a faint glow.

The robes he wore were simple but elegant, the kind Corey knew that martial artists wore. They were dark and loose, made from a material that seemed light and soft, yet strangely durable. There were faint patterns along the edges of the robe, glowing softly with a dim light that flickered like breathing embers. The patterns weren't just decorative, they felt alive, shifting slightly as he moved, almost as if they were connected to him.

A silver sash was tied neatly around his waist, holding a plain scabbard that hung at his side. The scabbard had no markings, but it gleamed faintly, reflecting the dim light of the surroundings.

On his lap was a sword that looked like a normal sword without runes, but from what Corey could sense and see, the sword in the scabbard was the young man's Genesis Armament, and it was not low level at all.

'A green grade Genesis Armament?'

Corey thought with calm, indifferent eyes, and then he continued his observation of the young man.

The young man's posture was relaxed, with his hands resting on the sword. His bare feet twitched ever so slightly as he remained in his cross-legged posture.

As Corey stared at the young man with his pure white eyes, he realized that what truly stood out about the young man was the faint aura around him.

It wasn't visible, but the air seemed to ripple ever so slightly, as though the space around him couldn't quite stay still. It wasn't overwhelming or intimidating, but it was noticeable enough to make anyone near him uneasy, even if they didn't understand why.

To his surprise, Corey found this aura somewhat familiar, and in a fraction of a second, he realized why it felt so familiar.

'Intent… Sword Intent?'

Corey's eyes flashed with surprise when he sensed the presence of the intent in the young man. The young man was the first person he was sensing intent from.

The young man's expression was calm, almost neutral, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips. It wasn't mocking or cruel, it was the kind of smile that made it seem like he knew something nobody else did.

"Who are you?"

Corey asked, and the young man's smile widened slightly as he replied.

"Ryan Houtz."
