Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1138: 1135: Prima

Approximately 48hours later, Corey stood in front of an armor with a bright but exhausted gaze in his eyes.

This was his armor, the armor he had crafted. His personal armor that would follow him to the peak of power.

He had done it, and he was extremely proud and happy.

Just like Primus, the armour had a glass-like appearance, but it was not clear glass but smoked glass.

The armor was like a tight suit armor made out of skin and glass at the same time. It also looked old and new at the same time, as if it had existed long before Corey ever put it on, yet had only just decided to take shape.

It fits his body closely, not tight, not loose, but just the perfect size.

The surface of the armour wasn't polished, but it was rough either. If one ran their hand over it, it would feel smooth, warm, and strangely familiar... almost like a skin one was used to touching.

Across the armor were thin lines that looked almost accidental. They were like normal cracks on a glass, like natural flaws left behind during its creation.

They did not glow or pulse with power, and neither did they emit any energy. Instead, they were meant to shift slowly and rearrange themselves whenever Corey moved, adjusting to his posture and breathing.

The armor was always settling, always correcting itself.

The chest piece was simple. There was no emblem and no symbol like that of some heroes that wear capes. It only seemed thicker than the other parts of the armor, and it emitted a dim glow like that of moonlight.

The aura the dim glow radiated felt... alive and like it was breathing.

Corey observed the armor for a few more seconds, then he approached it and touched it.

With a thought, the armor flowed across his arm, then spread across his entire body.

With another thought, a helmet formed around his head, then a pair of wings sprouted out from his back.

The helmet formed seamlessly around his head, and there were no visible hinges or joints.

Its shape followed the curve of his face without exaggeration, and the front did not have open eye slots. Instead, the surface thinned there, and it was faintly translucent, like darkened glass.

From the outside, it was impossible to see his eyes. But from the inside, his vision was as clear as day.

And then the wings.

The wings were the oddest part of the armour because they did not resemble those of birds or beasts, but of metal.

They were made of overlapping plates that were long and narrow, and layered like shards arranged with care.

The plates also looked like smoked glass, but they were not fragile. They shifted constantly, sliding over one another with quiet precision.

The air around them felt tense, like it was being pressed and released at the same time. Sometimes, faint distortions appeared within the wings, like reflections that didn't belong to anything nearby.

This was his armor, and it was more beautiful than he expected.

"I might have done far more than I expected with you."

Corey smiled softly as the helmet slowly dissolved into the neck part of his armor.

Surprisingly, while he was crafting the armor, he thought of more abilities to give the armor, and it was one of the reasons why the armor eventually had wings.

To Corey, the armour might even have more abilities than Primus, and it was slightly shocking to him.

However, as much as Corey would love to observe what he had crafted, he didn't have time.

The skies of New Earth had already darkened just like the previous Tribulation, and Corey knew that the Tribulation was waiting to strike him in all its fury.

It was just waiting to see if he would name his new creation or if he would choose not to name it.

And the longer he took, the more the Tribulation would assume that his decision was not to name his armour.

"I have a feeling this Tribulation is going to be different from the last one." Corey smiled wryly. "And this is just the beginning... I still have many other Tribulations to survive even after this."

He released a soft sigh, then he shook his head and looked at Primus.

"I hope you're ready, Primus. Because our lives would most likely depend on you."

Primus trembled in response, and Corey smiled lightly.

He then looked at his armour, and his expression slowly became solemn.

"I've been thinking for some time on what I should name you, and what your purpose should be. But I believe I've gotten the answer for that."

He inhaled, then exhaled deeply.

Unlike Primus who he named rather easily if he was being sincere, his armour was more difficult to name because it was more personal for him.

Corey closed his eyes, then he opened them with a determined light in both eyes.

"You were not born to conquer."

"You were born to endure."

"You are not my weapon. You are the reason I am allowed to stand long enough to wield one."

"You will take my pain before it reaches me. You will bear my wounds when I cannot. You will break so that I do not."

"As a mother shields her child from the storm, you will stand between me and the end. Between me and death."

"As the womb shields life, as the earth shields the seed, you will shield me."

"You will not ask whether I am right. You will not hesitate when death comes for me. You will love me enough to defy gods, fate, the universe, and existence itself."

"You will hold me together even when I give up."

"You are my sanctuary in war. My last embrace when the world turns hostile. The will that refuses to let me die."

"From this moment on, you exist not to obey... but to protect."

"I name you... Prima."
