Chapter 1046: 1043: Horde
As the Gate of Death opened wide, countless undead and corpses began pouring out of the gate.
Humans of varying sizes, giants, titans, werewolves, beasts, vampires, and even dragons poured out of the gate and ran toward Corey and the others with pure madness and insanity.
These corpses ranged from Tier 4 to Tier 6, and their numbers were more than three thousand, and it was still increasing.
Corey assigned a few of his Stars of Consciousness to deal with the pain he was feeling after looking at the Gate of Death.
A grave expression appeared on his face when he saw the rapidly forming army, and he quickly turned to Pamela and the others.
"Get up! We have company! A lot of them!"
Corey created a cloud of Dream Healing above everybody, and this instantly helped alleviate their pains by a significant degree.
Unfortunately for Corey, the pain he felt was a lot more because his Eyes of Omniscience was active when the Gate of Death came into existence.
"Damn it." Jeremy cursed while unsheathing his sword. His expression was one of anxiety and extreme worry.
'Will I die today? Fuck!'
As Jeremy had this thought, the others also brought out their weapons and readied their mana.
Queen Nerith's expression was one of immense pain, sadness, and fury as she stared at the Clown.
"My daughters. Orynthia and Syrelle. They're dead. They're both dead. I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill him!"
Queen Nerith was about to move forward and unleash her attacks without caring about the cost, but Thalos quickly grabbed her arm, stopping her.
"Mother, stop. If you rush in there, you're going to die without accomplishing anything."
Queen Nerith breathed heavily and in fury as she stared at the Clown, her chest visibly rose and fell multiple times as she tried to calm down, but it was immensely difficult for her.
"I want to kill him." She growled, and then Corey looked at her with extremely cold eyes.
"You can't kill him because he's immortal. He can literally not die, so don't do something stupid or else I'll kill you myself and make sure that not even an atom of your body remains before the Clown absorbs your blood and gets stronger."
Everybody went silent hearing Corey's cold, brutal, and indifferent words.
Some wanted to comment, but when they saw the approaching horde of undead, their expressions became anxious and grave.
Pamela was about to speak, but her expression drastically changed, and she looked in the direction of the incoming horde, making sure to not look at the Gate of Death.
The others also had the same reaction, and Elizabeth let out a hollow laugh a few seconds later.
"Hahahahaha. We're all going to die. We're all going to fucking die."
Emerging from the Gate of Death were five Tier 7s.
Two were undead humans. One held a sword while the other held a spear.
One was an undead vampire.
One was an undead werewolf.
And the last was an undead dragon.
The moment these five undead Tier 7s emerged from the Gate of Death, the gate shut itself. However, their already grim situation became a lot worse.
"That undying bastard is already a Tier 7, and now we have to fight five more Tier 7s? How are we going to survive?" Elizabeth said while nearly falling on her knees and giving up, but Jeremy grabbed her shoulders and looked at her with a determined light in his eyes.
"If you give up, the situation would become more difficult for us. Even if the situation is bad, we have to fight and not give up no matter what. Don't forget all we've gone through, don't give up no matter what!"
The spirits of Elizabeth, Mathias, Rorik, and Caesar were lifted slightly, and Corey gave Jeremy a nod of appreciation.
He then looked at Thalos and Nerith. "We'll take two Tier 7s each. I'll fight the Clown and the dragon. The two of you will fight the remaining."
Thalos and Nerith looked at the undead Tier 7s in the distance with gritted teeth.
"We'll do our best." Thalos said while clenching his sword tightly, but Corey shook his head.
"Don't do your best. Aim to win and survive." He did not wait for a reply before he took a step forward and began approaching the horde which were less than two hundred meters away from them.
"Pamela, try your best not to die. The plan remains the same. I'm going to reduce their numbers by a little bit."
Without waiting for a response from Pamela and the others, Corey began running toward the horde.
At first, it was a light jog, but it eventually increased to a sprint. In the blink of a mortal's eye, Corey was less than ten meters away from the horde, and then he stretched out his right hand.
To everybody's surprise, a spear appeared in Corey's hand.
This spear was the Ancient Spear, the spear he was given by the Wandering Paragon, the first ever Paragon he encountered, and the Paragon who changed his destiny forever.
Corey repositioned himself, and cracks appeared on the ground because Corey then came to an abrupt stop.
And then he threw the Ancient Spear with all he had while covering its body with his black tribulation lightning.
BOOM!
The moment Corey released the Ancient Spear, it moved as fast as lightning and split the ground.
The undead in the lightning's path were destroyed and scorched. The Ancient Spear moved, and then it appeared before the undead dragon.
The dragon had been Corey's target from the onset, not the other undead.
ROAR!!!
The undead dragon roared and released a breath of dark flames at the Ancient Spear, but the dragon's flames did nothing to the spear.
Just as the spear was about to pierce the body of the dragon, the undead spearman appeared in front of the dragon and swung his spear.
Clang!
The sound of two metals clashing resounded in the realm, and the Ancient Spear was parried to the side.
However, the undead spearman's arms trembled due to the power behind the spear.
"Such power." He muttered in awe and disbelief.
But in the next second, he vanished, and Corey appeared in his place, stunning the dragon and the other Tier 7s.
Corey's Genesis Armament was raised high up, and then he swung down.
