Chapter 129: Chapter 90.2: Aizen's Invitation

Under such circumstances, Suzumushi's ability would be much less effective, making it nearly impossible to hypnotize Chu Yang.

As Tosen quietly placed his hand on Suzumushi's hilt and activated its ability, a chirping sound filled the cell.

A faint dizziness crept into Chu Yang's mind, but it had little effect on him.

Still, Chu Yang decided to play along and pretended to pass out.

Instead of fighting Tosen, it was wiser to let him think he was subdued and slip out to assess the situation.

At the very least, it wouldn't alert Aizen.

To protect himself, Chu Yang needed to wait until the truth of Aizen's massacre of the Central 46 Council was exposed.

Once Aizen openly opposed the Soul Reapers, he wouldn't have time to deal with Chu Yang.

Tosen threw Chu Yang over his shoulder, took out a strip of white cloth, and let it wrap around them like a living thing, transporting them to an open clearing far from the Senzaikyū, near the Sōkyoku Hill.

Elsewhere, the execution was beginning.

The Power of Sōkyoku transformed into a blazing phoenix named "Blaze Fledgling King."(Kikōō) The fiery creature flew toward Rukia, ready to reduce her to spirit particles upon contact, ending her life entirely.

At the last second, Ichigo appeared, intercepting the phoenix and successfully saving Rukia.

Unexpectedly…

In that critical moment, Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake, captains hidden among the crowd, sprang into action and destroyed the Sōkyoku Platform.

With a flash of red light, the body of the Blaze Fledgling King swelled up and then burst like fireworks.

Captain Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's eyes were sharp, gazing at his two prized disciples. He didn't understand why they had done this, but he recognized that their actions could only be viewed as betrayal.

Knowing their teacher's power, Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake quickly withdrew, relocating the fight to a secluded area to avoid unnecessary casualties.

After saving Rukia, Ichigo handed her over to the belatedly arriving Renji and urged them both to escape. He planned to confront Byakuya Kuchiki on his own.

The battle was on.

Meanwhile, Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya of the 10th Division, along with Lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto, headed for the Central 46 Chambers, stumbling upon Aizen's conspiracy. A fight broke out.

After a while, the battle between Ichigo and Byakuya concluded. Ichigo, having mastered Bankai within three days, had the speed advantage, but Byakuya's Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, slowly turned the tide.

In the end, Ichigo shattered Byakuya's Zanpakutō. Accepting his defeat, Byakuya left the Sōkyoku Platform, while a worn-out Ichigo was taken away by the hurriedly arriving Orihime and friends.

The platform fell silent once more.

Renji, still aiding Rukia's escape, unexpectedly encountered Kaname Tōsen waiting for them. Rukia and Renji were shocked to see that Tōsen was carrying an unconscious Chu Yang on his shoulder.

Without a word, Tōsen used his Zanpakutō's "Thousand-Coil White Snake" ability to transport them back to the now-empty punishment platform.

Renji and Rukia were bewildered.

The next moment, Aizen appeared with Gin Ichimaru, casting a satisfied glance at both Rukia and Chu Yang.

He then reached for Rukia in Renji's arms. Renji, hopelessly outmatched, had his Zanpakutō, Zabimaru, shattered into pieces.

As they clashed, Chu Yang opened his eyes subtly to assess the situation. Just as Aizen prepared to deliver a fatal blow to Renji, Ichigo once again intervened, blocking Aizen's attack.

Ichigo and Renji teamed up to fight Aizen, though it was futile as Aizen overwhelmed them single-handedly.

Aizen seized Rukia and, filled with pride, began revealing the intricacies of his meticulously crafted scheme.

Chu Yang rolled his eyes. The classic trope of villains being overly talkative—even Aizen couldn't resist it. In a way, Chu Yang thought, he might also be tempted to boast about such a grand scheme if he were the mastermind, especially to those he had manipulated as pawns.

Meanwhile, upon learning the truth, numerous Shinigami were en route back to the platform. Captain Sajin Komamura of the 7th Division was the first to arrive, only to be instantly defeated by Aizen. The power gap was insurmountable.

Soon, Chad and Orihime also reached the platform. Without lifting a finger, Aizen repelled them with mere spiritual pressure.

Aizen, now in full command, arrogantly continued to reveal his remaining plans, as a sense of indescribable dread began to grip everyone present.

Finally, they could only watch as Aizen extracted the Hōgyoku from Rukia's soul by other means.

Having obtained the Hōgyoku, Aizen, now brimming with satisfaction, dropped his guard.

In that moment, Chu Yang's eyes suddenly shot open. He raised his spiritual pressure to the maximum and unleashed Conqueror's Haki! An unprecedented wave of golden spiritual energy surged toward Aizen alone.

Caught off guard, Aizen's soul trembled, and he briefly lost focus.

It lasted but a moment, yet it was enough. By the time Aizen regained his composure, Rukia and the Hōgyoku had vanished from his sight.

"You dare defy me?!"

For the first time, Aizen, normally composed, appeared unhinged before everyone.

The immense spiritual pressure radiating from him turned the Soul Society's sky dark, as if drenched in ink. Everyone felt as though their throats were being squeezed.

Only now did they grasp the true extent of Aizen's strength.

Chu Yang safely placed Rukia aside, then unleashed his full power. He activated all his techniques—Origin Breathing, Haki, Lightning Release Armor, Sage Mode—stacking them one after another.

While Aizen's focus remained largely on Chu Yang, the others felt only residual pressure. If not for Chu Yang's own immense spiritual strength, he might have fainted the instant Aizen's energy surged.

Removing his glasses and combing back his hair, Aizen's previously gentle face hardened.

"Your willpower impresses me. I actually find myself unwilling to kill you now. Hand over the Hōgyoku, join me, and I may overlook your insolence."

Chu Yang shrugged. "I'd love to, but it disappeared on me."

Aizen narrowed his eyes. "Did the Hōgyoku fuse with your soul?"

Chu Yang grimaced; it seemed that his soul's inner palace had absorbed it, just as it had taken Black Zetsu in the Naruto world.

Aizen, intent on taking Chu Yang, drew his Zanpakutō, Kyōka Suigetsu. Chu Yang closed his eyes, avoiding hypnosis by not witnessing the Shikai activation.

Seeing this, Aizen realized Chu Yang likely knew Kyōka Suigetsu's ability.

"How did you know about Kyōka Suigetsu's power?" Aizen demanded.

Chu Yang didn't answer, focusing all his energy on his Haki for the impending attack.

Aizen signaled Tōsen, who, along with Gin, launched a dual assault on Chu Yang.

Gin's Shinso pierced forward like lightning, aiming to cripple Chu Yang without a fatal blow, as he had fused with the Hōgyoku.

A surprising twist occurred: Chu Yang dodged both Tōsen's and Gin's attacks using Shunpo, unaffected by Tōsen's abilities.

Aizen's expression cracked, shocked at Chu Yang's immunity to Tōsen's powers.

Realizing Chu Yang had been feigning susceptibility, Tōsen murmured anxiously, "Something is odd about his spiritual pressure; he's unaffected by my ability."

With each failed attack, Aizen paid the price for his overconfidence.

Chu Yang sensed the arrival of the Shinigami captains. Just as Aizen prepared to strike, Byakuya blocked him. Yoruichi Shihōin and Soifon, the current 2nd Division Captain, restrained him from both sides.

Lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto held her Zanpakutō at Gin's neck, while Tōsen was surrounded by captains.

The Captain-Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, along with Kyōraku and Ukitake, glared coldly at Aizen, who had committed the most heinous crimes in Soul Society's history.

Ignoring them, Aizen glared at Chu Yang. "You planned all this?"

All eyes fell on Chu Yang, who shrugged. "Actually, I just wanted to sleep in jail. You dragged me out."

Aizen was dumbfounded before breaking into maniacal laughter. "I brought this upon myself, then..."

Now, with Yamamoto present—a barrier Aizen couldn't surpass—Aizen could do nothing without the Hōgyoku's full potential.

"Give yourself up, Sōsuke Aizen!" declared Ukitake.

Aizen smirked. Just then, the sky tore open as Menos Grande emerged, emitting beams that created an impenetrable barrier.

The beams lifted Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen from Soul Society. Shinigami attempted to intervene, but Yamamoto stopped them. "These beams form an unbreakable barrier, a defense used by the Menos."

With the barrier's protection, Aizen left, yet he locked eyes with Chu Yang, mouthing, "This isn't our last encounter."
