Chapter 1200: Coming soon



Since the matter of the corruption was over and the matter with the sea witches had been settled, there was nothing left for me to do.

All I could do now was head back with Ariel and Puffer, the two representatives from the

Merman Empire.

With how the mood changed and we were being rushed to leave, it seemed that the situation had become quite serious.

But before that, there was something else that I still had to do.

It was a good thing that I was summoned once again to the temple.

I thought that I would have to find a way to go to the temple myself, but it turned out that this wasn't necessary. The priests and the Merman King came to me on their own to bring me to the temple.

"You have been summoned again."

That was what the priests said before leading the way.

I couldn't even ask them how I had been summoned, but I still followed them without a word. This was what I had been waiting for, so I wanted to see what Aquaron had for me.

Though I can't say that I was looking forward to waiting for Aquaron to pick something that was 'suitable' to me.

The last time that I met him, it was quite the experience.

Once I arrived at the temple, the same thing happened where they allowed me to enter the temple on my own. Then the doors closed behind me again and I was standing there alone in the temple.

Only it didn't take that long this time for me to be brought to the same place as before.

I was once again in the realm of water that belonged to Aquaron.

Though I was surprised the moment that I arrived.

That was because there was a side of Aquaron that I had never seen before when I arrived.

Instead of the same frivolous look as before, he had a serious look on his face as if he was thinking about something. It seemed that he was fully concentrating on thinking about whatever he was thinking about.

When he didn't say anything, he seemed like quite the handsome and serious person.

It was just that the moment that he spoke, he broke the illusion.

"I really do think that I would look good in green. I shouldn't always limit myself to a single colour. It doesn't matter if Vivrum's colour is green, I should be able to wear it as well."

A twitch appeared on my lips when I heard this, but I didn't say anything in response. In the first place, it wasn't as if he was talking to me.

Aquaron even proved that when he turned to look at me and said, "Oh, you're here."

I couldn't see his face, but if I could, I bet that I would have seen a surprised look on it. It would have been as if he wasn't expecting me to be here since he was lost in his own little world.

After realizing that I was here, Aquaron floated down from the place that he had been floating in the air in and landed in front of me. Standing there in front of me, he said, "So it seems like you've accomplished what I asked you to. I never thought that you would do it this fast."

The moment that I heard this, I knew that it was as I had thought.

He had completely forgotten that he had given me this mission in the first place.

That was the only explanation for why he hadn't called me all this time...

But he was still a god, so it wasn't as if I could say anything.

At the same time though, I remembered that since he was a god, he should have been able to hear my thoughts...

In the end, it didn't seem like Aquaron cared enough about what I thought of him as he didn't pursue this matter.

Instead, he just simply said, "Well, since you've accomplished the task that I've given you, it's only natural that you should receive the reward that you deserve."

With a wave of his hand, there were many different things that appeared around us.

This was the same as before where he started pulling out different things and looking them

over.

From the divine aura that was coming from these items, it was clear that all of them were relics.

But he didn't choose any of them as he kept looking at them.

It was clear that Aquaron didn't seem like he was willing to part with any of these relics with

the way that he kept pulling them out and putting them back.

I could only wait there patiently for him to pull something.

In the end, he pulled out a scarf that he tossed over at me.

This scarf seemed like a very normal scarf and if it wasn't for the divine aura that came from

it, I wouldn't have known that this thing was a relic at all.

After receiving this relic, I didn't say anything else as I prepared to leave.

I was sure that he would send me away without saying anything since that was what happened

last time.

Even if he were to give me another mission, it wasn't as if I would take it.

After all, there was no time for that right now.

I had been away from the Kite Kingdom for some time now, so I had to go back and make sure that everything was alright.

Especially with how things had progressed the past few days.

The corruption was the big thing that happened these days, which meant that there was

something happening with the one that was behind all of this.

It was imperative that I go back and see what was happening with the demons.

"You should go back as soon as you can. There is something that is coming soon, so it's best

to be prepared for when it comes."

"Huh?" I was completely caught off guard by the fact that Aquaron said this.
