Chapter 9: Aurora of Night
--One Month Later--
'Rune language was an interesting class.' Keter thought while walking down the hallway with a stack of books in hand. 'It's interesting but also so tiring with there being at least four runes for each word.' Keter knew he was exaggerating, but that didn't mean he couldn't complain. 'At the beginning of the class, I tried to figure out all of the translations for my true name, but I almost wish I hadn't.' Keter thinks back to the three translations.
'Emperor of Light, which isn't bad, but then theirs, Emperor of the Willing, which.' Keter shivers remembering all the fanatical things the Cardinal said. 'Willing, what a joke.' Keter scoffs in his head. 'Then their Slave of faith. Which originally disgusted me, but the rune for faith was not one pertaining to the gods. It was to one's own self. How does being a slave to myself even work?' Keter thinks confused.
"Can you lead me to the main hall, sir?" Keter turns to face the voice and sees a long, blue-haired woman. She was shorter than he was, but still obviously a legacy. He could tell from her calm demeanor. Physically fit but not a close-range fighter. If Keter had to guess, she was an archer or some type of mage.
"Sure, the main hall is this way," Keter says while motioning for her to follow. 'She looks strong. I would lose if we fought.' Keter evaluates her but smiles at the thought of there being another strong person to fight.
"Is there something wrong?" the woman asked, noticing his staring. Keter coughed, embarrassed that he had been caught staring.
"No, nothing's wrong," Keter says, looking away soon after. "My name's Keter. What's yours?" Keter asks.
"Keter? Your Keter?" she looks at him in surprise. You're quite different from the rumors." She looks Keter up and down and then says, "Anyways, my name is Auroura of the great clan Night. "
"Rumors?" Keter looks at her in shock.
"Of course, there are rumors. You got a true name in your first Nightmare, and it took seven months to complete. Along with the fact that you are so anti-social that there are rumors of you losing your vocal cords in your First Nightmare." Aurora explains.
"But any injuries you get during the First Nightmare don't transfer to the waking world?" Keter says, confused.
"Exactly my point," Aurora says.
Keter sighs and says. "Anyway, this is your stop." Keter motions to the double doors.
"Thank you for bringing me here," Aurora says politely and walks through the doors.
'That was an interesting conversation.' Keter sighs as he begins walking to his dorm. Then Keter suddenly stops in his tracks as he notices something was off. 'Wait, I felt something? Does she have a Divine Aspect?!'
----------------------------------------
No, she doesn't, Keter, but you don't know that yet.
Anyway, here's an image of Aurora. Also, she is going to be the only Oc in this Fanfic, so don't worry.
Sorry for the short chapter. I'm a bit busy.
