Shadow Slave: The Great Hunt

"Th- Thank you." Artemi stuttered out as he was blinded by the beauty of the officer in front of him that couldn't be more than 5 years older than him.

Shaking her head the Awakened undid his restraints quickly and efficiently.

"I am Awakened Isabell, you can call me by that name. I have been watching over your trial for the last two days. Go take a shower you smell worse than the whole slums combined"\

Doggedly following his given orders.

Finally able to relax under the almost scalding heat of the falling water, Artemi attempted to wash away the psychological damage he had sustained in the Jungle. 

Looking into the mirror conveniently placed in the corner of the cramped room he once again marveled at the transformation his body had undergone.

It was more than curing his malnourishment and giving him and otherworldly toned s he had grown at least 5 centimeters totalling out at a terrifying 2 meters at least. 

To add to that his features had sharpened, turning him handsome in a sharp and primal way that highlighted his now dull almost alien eyes.

I'm for once actually attractive? Honestly I have no idea what all the fuss is about.

Reluctantly he turned and switched off the hot water walking over and just as he was about to slip into the standard issue jumpsuit that all Sleepers were offered he remembered that he had this unique opportunity to test out his Aspect Ability.

Focusing on his whole body he was bewildered to see a rather grizzly sight as this body began to twist and bend, writhing like the eerie scene in his soul sea suddenly staring back at him in the mirror was a likeness of the Blighted Panther.

That is so sick.

Lifting up a paw he attempted to walk forward, falling immediately due to the quadrapedness of his Ability.

'Five Minutes later'

One would see a strange sight: a terrifying panther that was glowing mutely purple was jumping around the cramped room with a strangely human smile on its lips splitting them open wide.

Ok, that's enough of that, can I do more specific transformations?

The pather seemed to split open as a Tall man crawled out of the now vanishing into the soft purple hazy remains of said Panther. 

Focusing on different parts of his body one by one Artemi grew three tails with sharp spikes on them, elongated claws and forearms and catlike legs and body or some combination of the above.

I should probably get out of here before they get suspicious.

As he walked out of the room he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, with raven black hair and pale skin that reminded him of white marble that highlighted her icy blue eyes.

He had a chance to see those eyes when they turned looking at him.

"So you must be Sleeper Artemi."

"Yes ma'am."

Her uniform seemed much less put together than the agent which had greeted him from his nightmare though he took note of the three stars on her shoulder showing her status as a master.

"Follow me, I'll give you the talk on the ride."

As the master turned he finally noticed a diminutive boy? Maybe a girl? He couldn't quite tell, but they must have been his age.

The boy, he had decided. Had sickly pale skin and jet black hair and if he didn't know any better could swear that he was the little brother of the woman who he was turning to walk after.

"Umm, sorry to bother but what is your name exactly?"

With that the boy turned to look up at him a question in his eyes as he made a small gesture towards himself.

"Master Jet."

"Sunless but I go by Sunny."

They both said at the same time.

"Well nice to meet you."

Getting a similarly judgemental look from Sunny he kept following as they made their way through atax sc complex series of doors and rooms.

As they finally exited the police station into the familiar sights and smells of the outskirts they were greeted by a PTV with its boxy doors open.

Wow! This is so fancy. Is this my life from now

 on?"

When they were settled in the vehicle with Sunny and myself sitting almost shoulder to shoulder with Master Jet the PTV lifted off jostling Him and Sunny off balance.

[You have come in contact with Divine Blood.]

[Would you like your Aspect to be altered?]

Wait what? But who? Sunny? But he seems so… average.

"Yes," he said.

"You want counseling!?"

Said Jet and Sunny in the same moment turning to look at him as though he was crazy.

"No! Sorry I misheard you." He explained abashedly.

Then he felt a painful burning sensation spread through his veins finally coalescing in his hands.

I can check once we are out of this PTV

Whilst this was happening Master Jet went on saying, "About your first trial was it very hard?"

"It was simultaneously much worse than I expected and exactly as bad as I expected." Sunny answered quickly.

"Same."

"That's a good attitude. I won't pry any further. Us outskirt rats are tougher than people give us credit for."

"You're from the outskirts?." They asked simultaneously.

"What? Did my exquisite manners and uniform fool you?"

"Yes" and "I couldn't tell at all." Came from the two surprised teens. 

"Well sadly they're aren't many of us outskirt rats in the awakened world." Jet added heavily.

"What else do you have to add?" Artemi inquired.

"Good question. All that is really left to decide is how you want to prepare for your journey in about one month's time."

"While I can't tell you what you have to do, I would strongly recommend preparing and the best way to do this is the Awakened Academy."

"It offers free food, lodging, classes and an opportunity to meet your peers who could become your lifelong companions."

And your eventual murderers. He thought with a grim expression.

"So what do you boys say? Do you want to go to the academy? or should I take you home?"

They both paused similar things running through their minds.

This is my only chance to find my eventual hunting companions, and I really like the idea of food and lodging.

"I'm in, let's go to the academy."

And after a few seconds more of the thrumming of the floating vehicle the small teen next to him chimed in.

"Yeah. I want to go to the academy."

Wow, a lot just happened and don't worry there will be a lot of discoveries for later today or tomorrow also what do y'all think of his personality I hope he isn't too boring. What do we think about him going to the forgotten shore yes? No?
