Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Return
Opening his lifeless, hollow eyes
Sunny looked around, he did not use shadow sense or anything of the sort, seemingly understanding where he is, Sunny fell back into the cool embrace of sleep once again.
A couple more hours passed, the world outside was pitch black, in fact it had gotten even darker than before.
Sunny awoke once again
Only this time, he did not go back to sleep.
His body instantly shooting upwards out of bed, feeling a soft fabric all around his body, Sunny was confused.
Sunnys eyes narrowed as he looked towards his chest.
He had sworn that his chest had a hole in it, moving his right hand which he now realized just like his chest had returned, Sunnys arm grew a little bit shaky before reagaining his compusure.
His left hand rose to touch his chest which instead of nothingness, he had felt his skin or the soft leather yet durable fabric but either way there was no hole there!
Sunnys face instictively creeped up a smile, feeling ecstatic, Sunny tried to understand where he was first.
Activating his shadow sense, Sunny tried to limit his shadow sense only realizing that it could not reach as far as he wanted to.
Perplexed, Sunny commanded his shadow sense to reach its maximum. To his surprise it was only a puny amount of distance.
But this current amount that it reached felt familar to Sunny….It was almost as if he was a sleeper again.
Intaking all of the information of the surroundings, he realized that he was back at the forgotten shore.
A frown arose over Sunny
His breaths became staggered, slowly though they became more calm, after a while they returned to normal.
Sunnys looked towards his shadow still trying to intake all of this information and sent his shadow forward.
Looking at himself through the shadow and its grey like colours that the shadow saw
"Damnation"
One of Sunnys eyebrows rose upwards
"I'm short again, not like I wasn't short before but this is too much!"
Sunny stopped pouring and let out a sigh finally coming to an understanding of the situation he's in
Putting a hand on his chin Sunny realized that his looks had worsened but surprisingly Sunny didn't look as bad as he had thought.
Slowly rolling his hand through his hair
Sunny analysed how he looked.
His hair was shorter but his skin was surprisingly better than he thought, Sunnys eyes although, they had looked like the eyes of a killer, one that had been through an unimaginable amount of experiences.
A thought crept up in Sunny as he wanted to try something out.
Sunny wanted to see if he had a connection to the spell.
Trying to remember the familiar sensation of the spell, Sunny brought up his runes and contrary to his surprise it worked

Ability Description: [Find a worthy master and let them know your True Name. Once they recite it out loud, you will be bound to their will, unable to disobey any command. It is improper for a shadow, let alone a divine one, to walk around without a master.]
Sunny sighed when he looked at his innate ability, it had stayed the same after all.
He had hoped it was different but it wasn't, once again he had realised how foolish hope was.
Sunny had felt a sharp pain in his chest but ignored it, he was accustomed to this damn bond for many years after all.
Sunny checked out the rest of his runes
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Control].
Aspect Ability Description: [Your shadow is more independent than most. It is an invaluable helper.]Aspect Ability: [Shadow Control].
Aspect Ability Description: [Your shadow is more independent than most. It is an invaluable helper.]
Aspect Legacy:Shadow Dance
Flaw: [Clear Conscience].
Flaw Description: [You cannot lie.]
Looking at his flaw, Sunny sort of felt nostalgic
He remenisced about the time he had hated the flaw but now… it had grown on him, without it he would've never had become friends with anyone and would have stayed completely isolated and alone.
Sunny laughed at this thought remembering that he had broken his fate and had once again become isolated.
Sunny smiled realising that he has another chance, a chance to change his fate for the better and maybe, just maybe… he'll go hunting for a damn bird in the future.
Looking down at his attribute Sunnys eyes widened.
He knew that he had lost his abilities so this was completely unprecedented
The runes read
Attributes: [Blood Weave], [ Bone Weave],
[Shell], [Fated], [Ember of Divinity], [ Soul Weave], [ Child of Shadows]
Sunnys eyes widened letting out a small chuckle
'This is great, I have all of my attributes.'
Sunnys eyes narrowed slightly
'But why, why do I have them if I don't have my other abilities.'
Sunny checked his attributes again and noticed a common trope, hastily checking his memories, Sunnys suspicions were confirmed.
The only Memories he had were
[Weavers Mask], [Shadow Lantern]
Sunny was naturally a bit bewildrered however he had expected this.
Letting out a sigh, Sunnys mind recalled seeing Weaver at the end.
Sunny was surprised to see him but suspected that he likely had something to do with this "regression".
Compiling his thoughts together, Sunny came to the conclusion that the current Spell that he is using currently is not the same as the one in the past.
Checking his attributes and memories once again to be sure, Sunless was 99% sure he was correct.
"Looking back into the future it seemed that there was a man shaped hole amongst the tapestry of the strings of fate and Weaver was in it, if he revealed himself, then with everything I know about Weaver and his antics, he had most likely crafted a new spell just for me…"
But why, why did he need to do that if I was going back in time…
"Because Fate exists outside of time itself and I had broken fate thus he had to implant a new fate upon me."
Sunny had felt as if he had been enlightened by Weaver, Sunless was flabbergasted by the thought, it was quickly replaced by respect and admiration.
"He really does live up to his name as the Daemon of Fate"
Sunless thought to himself
'It does make sense though'
Sunny looked at his memories and attributes,
the only attributes that returned were ones that were from the Daemons such as Nether and Weaver
'My other attributes which were evolved in the future stayed the same and …
Sunny gaze fell towards his memories not knowing what to feel exactly
'The only memories I currently have are of the Divine rank'.
Finally checking on his rune that was labelled
Shadows: Stone Saint
Sunny let out a warm smile, he was happy that he didn't need to kill Saint again.
Sunny tried to summon the shadow but it was to no avail, as if it refused to come out.
Sunny was a little confused at first, this rarely happened and the only time it did was when my shadows are evolving.
Sunny realised how foolish he was being and instead extended his shadow sense.
The Black Knight was no where to be seen.
Sunny felt a little sad at that fact, after all in the past when he had been brutally gutted by the deathly knight, he felt an immeasurable amount of hatred and so out of sheer spite he had killed it in the past, and so Sunny had hoped to kill it again, after all it didn't matter how many times Sunny had killed the dastardly bastard, the sheer pleasure and contempt Sunny felt towards the knight stayed the same.
Sunny sighed deciding it was time to focus on the current situation, however if Weaver hasn't given Sunny enough gifts today, the pleasant voice of the spell rang in Sunnys mind.
[One of your Shadows have evolved]
Sunny was caught of guard at that fact but knowing the current timeline, it had made sense.
Moreover hearing the spell again felt a little foreign, though Sunny got used to it.
Summoning the Stone Saint which was now Marble Saint after becoming an awakened demon.
The Marble Saint stepped out of Sunnys shadow, looking at Sunny with its blank expression, it now reached just above Sunnys current height.
Looking at Sunny, the Marble Saint slightly tapped Sunnys face.
'Was she confused'
Sunny felt that this was a little familiar, the Marble Saint suddenly stopped.
Sunny looked at Saint with a warm smile
"It's good to see you again Saint."
Dismissing Saint, the warm smile stayed on Sunnys face. For some reason he was in an amazing mood today.
Sunny quickly checked where he had found Weavers mask before and not to his surprise it was empty, there was no body nor mask, the runes however were what he came here for, they still held an immense amount of power as Sunny tried his all to read them, he summoned Weavers Mask but perhaps it's because of his new attributes that he didn't have before and maybe because these attributes had something to do with the Daemons, he was able to read a couple of runes instead of them being listed as "Unknown"
The runes read "Weaver, Firstborn of the Forgotten…".
Sunny had subconsciously finished the rest of the sentence.
He was calm and even though his mind had taken a toll due to the runes they slowly got better as he left the basement
'Considering what I learnt from my third nightmare, this had confirmed my suspicions.'
Sunny kept this knowledge stored in his head but for now he didn't expand on it after all he currently had no power to do something about it unlike his Saint self.
Sitting cross legged on a pillar that had broken in the fight against the Black Knight, Sunny could be seen staring at a gorgeous and unimaginable castle, it seemed to be the only ray of hope in this treacherous place.
A mix of emotions could be seen in Sunnys eyes, Despair, hope, agony, spite.
'If im right about the timeline, overthrowing Gunlaug and his castle should be in a couple of days'
Sunny hoped that perhaps more people could be saved and yet considering people and their pride and the abundance of emotions that they have, it was hopeless, Sunny also currently did not have the strength to forcefully beat everyone into submission, perhaps if he were awakened he could but he was a mere sleeper.
'There are also people who do not deserve to live on this planet, like Harus.'
Sunnys eyes swiftly became calm and colder as he raised his hand up to see the pitch black sky, he closed his palm making a fist
His brow furrowed tightly, his face full of not anger but disappointment.
Gazing to the distance, leaping off the pillar, Sunny sighed, a calm and warm smile showing on his face.
"It's time to prepare."
