Shadow Slave FanFic [Missing Piece]

It's been a while since I last uploaded a Chapter. To be honest I kinda lost interest in writing for a while at least when it came to Fanfiction. My own Novel needs a lot more preparation before I can seriously start writing it. Until then I wanna at least finish this Fanfic so you can bet your ass on that I will.

The Air was filled with Tension and Despair as the 3 Government Saint and the Wolf Army stared at the 4 Gates in front of them.

To their horror The situation had turned out to be much more dire than they had thought than in the beginning. At least a hundred thousand creatures emerged from the Gates in an Instant flooding the Outskirts of the City they were here to protect.

A task that seemed manageable at the start but as the Army and Saints clashed against the seemingly endless stream of Nightmare Creatures their delusional expectations were crushed to dust.

Just as they thought the Situation couldn't get any worse, the Gate Guardians made their way out of the Gates and made everyone tremble at their sight.

"2 Corrupted Titans, 1 Great Terror and a Great Tyrant…"

Jet said with a cold tone and Sorrow written all over her Face. She turned to Face Effie and Kai, which both had assumed their Transcendent forms, and saw the same expression telling her that today could very well be their last.

"Hey…Before we get ourselves back into that mess, I want you to know that I never felt so alive before I met you."

Jets words hit them hard but it also put a smile on their lips. Until this day they had finished many missions, one more Harrowing than the other.

All 3 of them knew that this would be their Last unless a Miracle happened.

"You say that as if we are already dead like you."

Effie was in a surprisingly good mood for someone who's fate seemed already sealed.

"Yeah I mean, it does not look very good for any of us, now does it?"

Jet said, she has already accepted her true death as the Gate Guardians marched in their direction hungry for the countless human souls behind the Army of Masters and the 3 Saints.

Effie chuckled while throwing a Truck filled with Gasoline at the tide of Creatures, which soon exploded In a enormous fireball, killing hundreds of them in an Instant.

"We have an Ace up our Sleeves that I'm just waiting on to arrive. I'm sure he will."

Both Jet and Kai looked at eachother with Questioning looks trying to figure out who Effie Is talking about. She had not told them about her visit to Sunny's house before she arrived here so the two couldn't possibly know what kind of Ace Effie was supposed to have up her sleeve.

'Who would be crazy enough to come here anyways, and more importantly, strong enough to make a difference?'

Kai and Jet thought at the same time.

Just as the Question that had lingered on their Minds was about to be asked, the Sky dimmed a little as the Clouds above them seemed to get much darker and suddenly began to bleed.

Shadows began to spill out of them like waterfalls and fell down between the wolf Army and the endless stream of Nightmare Creatures forming a barrier.

On one side of the barrier the Master's were washed away and carried to safety towards the City walls while on the other eerie screams and the sound of bone being crushed and flesh torn apart Echoed through the wasteland.

All 3 of them Looked At the scene with awe so none of them noticed the Man Clad in Onyx Armor suddenly standing between them.

"I see you have been holding up pretty well till now. Why are you acting like this would be your last day of your life?"

Sunny said with an amused tone while turning to them. Effie suddenly smiled at Jet and Kai who suddenly felt relief washing over them making them smile at the Man Between them.

"YOU'RE HERE!"

Effie roared while throwing her arms into the air, clearly Showing her excitement.

"Yeah well I could say that I was just a little bored you know…"

He shrugged, acting like he couldn't care less if the 3 died or not, but in the end he couldn't hold up the Facade of Indifference like he planned to.

"But to tell the truth I could not live with myself if you 3 died here knowing that I could have changed that outcome."

He took off his Helmet and gave them a small smile before saying.

"Because you are my Friends, that…I'm sure of."

Jet was holding back tears just like Effie and Kai. Seeing the Soulreaper Showing emotions was a rare sight after all so it took Effie and Kai a little by surprise.

"Wow, no need to cry, and don't feel relieved either. We are not done here."

Sunny words pulled them out of their emotional slumber, right on time as it turned out because the Gate Guardians have just breached the Wall of Shadows he had created.

"So how do we stop this madness? Any ideas, Sunny?"

He chuckled and looked at the 2 Titans with murderous intent before he spoke.

"I'm gonna take the Great Terror and one of the Titans while you get the rest…deal?"

They looked at him puzzled but before any of them could say a word he continued.

"When I'm done I'm gonna help you with the rest of course."

That pushed them over the edge as Effie screamed.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?"

Sunny just nodded and looked at Kai and Effie for a Second before 2 Shadows Separated from him. One taking on the form of Kai as a Giant Dragon completely made out of Shadows stood beside them. The thing was actually bigger than Kai which made him wonder how much Stronger Sunny has gotten in the past few years.

The other Stretched his limbs before a wave of Shadows shot out of the Ground and enveloped him until a Giant taller than Effie looked down on her. With his Onyx Armor and the Mask of a Demon he was wearing she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for herself while she remembered all the times she had teased Sunny about his height.

'How is something like that even possible?'

Was all that they could think of as they witnessed sunny showing them a power unlike anything they have ever seen. The ability to conjure shells out Of Shadows is nothing new to them, he had done so before, but the current display of strength he was showing them exceeded their expectations by a hundred fold.

"Ehhhh…HELLO."

Sunny yelled in an effort to rip them out of their thoughts. He actually managed to so after several more exclamations on his part and only calmed down when their Gazes finally landed on him instead of his 2 Shadow Shells.

"How did you…"

Effie began to ask but got interrupted by Sunny in his Giant form pointing her head towards the Gate Guardians that were slowly approaching.

"Don't ask questions, just fight. We have enough time to talk after we are done here."

Effie, Kai and Jet gave him a nod and exploded With force towards the Gate Guardians. Every single one of them knew what must be done so no further words needed to be exchanged. Although what was about to happen was bound to leave them with even more questions for Sunny to answer that they had thought they could Ever have.

The 2 Dragons got busy taking on the Great Tyrant while Effie, Jet and the Shadow Colossus Took on the Second Corrupted Titan which looked like to be made out of Plants that bloomed with giant Flowers of numerous Colors lulling them into a Mindhex that shall prevent them from attacking it. Other than the rest of the Gate Guardians that one seemed to be looking to preserve the life of others.

Not that it had a Noble reason for that like going against its nature for the sake of saving life instead of destroying them but instead stepping into the paths of the Soul devouring Tree to use the helpless souls as a constant source of Energy turning every single living organism in its path into a Battery for its own growth.

Sunny meanwhile still Pondered on which foe to take out first. He still had to deal with a Corrupted Titan and a Great Terror. Both more Harrowing as the rest of the Gate Guardians currently fighting against his Shells and his close Friends and Allies.

The Great Terror looks like it was completely made out of sand. Its body is vague in shape as it crushed everything in its path to dust and added it to its own body while doing so. Sunny of course knew that deep inside the Terror a Heart is hiding. Something similar to a Sarcophagus hiding and protecting the heart of the immense Sandman.

But He already had an Idea on how to deal with this Abomination so he sent Serpent and Mimic away to gather something he could need for his plan to work.

Looking at the Titan a small smile crept up his lips as he felt excited for what was about to happen.

"The last of your Kind who dared to make me his enemy got turned into a fridge you know? What should I turn you into?"

The creature towered above everything else as its Incandescent flames melted the Environment and drowned the world around it in a inferno of smoke and Ash while the Air around it's body seemed to catch fire and threatened to ignite the atmosphere.

Summoning A Spear, Sunny grinned at the Titan seemingly Opposite to the Nature of the Winter Beast and took a step back while bringing The Spear behind his back and tensed his muscles.

He knew that the blow he was about to deliver would not kill the Titan. Maybe not even harm it but he had another intention after all. He alone could not come too close to the Titan otherwise his armor and soon his body would burst into flames leaving only a pitiful pile of Ash behind, losing a shadow in return.

"Fortunately I have the perfect play buddy for you."

His Spear sliced through the Air threatening to tear the very tapestry of the world apart as it hit the Titan right in the chest making it tremble slightly as torrents of Magma flowed from its wound like blood.

The vague shape of the face the Titan possessed glanced with fury at Sunny which he returned with a smirk that showed only the Depths of his broken self and the Fury for the world that he had buried deep inside of him. He raised his arms and spread them wide with open palms as he ordered Fiend who was Attached on The Tip of the Spear that he threw at the Titan to begin his Handiwork.

"Search my loyal Shadow, Search and Destroy Fiend. I hope that this Son of Satan tastes good."

Fiend has gotten more resistant to heat after devouring Parts of the Winter Beast. Before he was able to swim through magma and hold his own against any environment Sunny send him to. But now the guy seemed to have gotten indestructible in terms of resistance against Heat.

So while the Titan would slowly try to make its way towards the Tasty human Souls that Sunny swore to protect it would get eaten alive from the inside.

"Fiend just needs to find his Cores and destroy them one by one."

Sunny dived into the Shadows and assessed the situation through the Eyes of his other Incantations and quickly came to a conclusion.

'Kai seems Pretty fine actually. The Airborne Great Tyrant looks like it will fall sooner rather than later so I guess I will go help the others with the Titan.'

Jumping out of the Shadows Sunny assumed the Form of the Shadow Spawn just much Taller and with an additional pair of Arms.

Each of the 6 Hands gripping the hilt of a Black Odachi lunged At the Titan made out of Plants which Sunny decided to call the Revenge of Nature for now until the Spell Would announce the actual name of the Abomination when it will Fall to either his own or one of his Friends Blades and Fists.

The sheer amount of Shadow Shells and the Complexity of them Threatened to make him lose his sense of Self of course so he had to remind himself of his existence as the fight went on.

Whispering to himself he called upon his new True Name as a tide of Relief washed over him immediately after He had done so. Effectively Pulling him back from his slumber that was about to overcome him.

"I'm [Broken Abyss] and I'm here to help my long lost friends to make it home."
