Shadow Dragon: The Fallen Angel Is My Teacher

Chapter 141: Class Level Up, New Perk, Making A Perfect Disguise

Class Tailor gained.

+2 Dexterity, +2 Spirit.

Perk gained: [Thread Sense].

Perk Effect: Gain an instinctive awareness of fabric tension, texture, and stitching quality.

'Finally got this class.'

Tailor was one of those basic and essential classes for assassins.

Assassins couldn't rely on market-bought clothes.

Those were for ordinary Exorcists.

People like them could walk around in chainmail or enchanted jackets bought from trusted stores.

But assassins lived differently.

If you bought a cloth from a shop, everyone would know who made it.

They could guess where the hidden pockets were or how many there were.

If someone knew that, they could guess where you hid your weapons.

That was enough to get you killed.

Infiltration was everything. Disguise even more so.

Every mission meant a new identity, a new set of clothes, and a new skin.

Going to a tailor each time would be stupid.

That's why most assassins learned the basics of tailoring themselves.

Tailor Class was also necessary to make armors.

I could create powerful defensive clothes in future, and sell them to earn money.

With my knowledge, I could live like a king just with this Class, and the money it brought.

"Alright. Let's start making clothes for Caelum Nocthera."

I summoned a few alchemical tools from my inventory and used alchemy to weave large sheets of dark fabric.

Thin threads ran through them as I shaped the texture, letting my new perk guide my hands.

The first layer became a black suit.

Then a white shirt.

A black tie followed.

Each stitch connected cleanly; each fold sat perfectly.

I waved my hand, pulling in some of the Positive Energy lingering in the air.

The faint glow sank into the threads, reinforcing them against Cursed Spirit attacks.

After that, I began carving runes into the fabric.

Slash resistance.

Blunt resistance.

Penetration resistance.

No-crease.

No-stain.

Waterproofing.

Each rune flared softly as I sealed it with mana.

"This looks good enough. But…. let's just add a few more things."

I stitched several hidden pockets on the inside.

One was under the chest, two along the waist, and one behind the collar.

Then I pricked my finger and let a drop of blood merge with the new runes I made, turning those pockets into spatial storage.

Now came the fun part.

I added two special functions to these spatial pockets.

The first allowed me to connect all the pockets with a unique mana pattern.

That meant I could place a dagger in the chest pocket and pull it out from my pant pocket in an instant.

Perfect for surprise attacks.

The second function let me link any of the pockets to the Inventory Rune on my palm, again using a different mana pattern.

I didn't want to use my actual Inventory Rune in front of others.

That would risk exposing my identity as Alan Veritus.

In the Bermuda Triangle domain, clothes with spatial pockets weren't common, but they weren't unheard of either.

The surviving engineers of the Nocthera Empire from the Moon had once used similar technology.

This was why the Exorcists who scavenged runes there could find these types of clothes.

Earth had that level of advancement too, long ago, before the Silver Whale destroyed most of it.

Now, all of this was forgotten knowledge.

When the main stitching was done, I engraved a Condensed Mimic Seal Rune on the back of the collar.

It allowed me to compress the outfit into a small portable seal, which I could summon or remove instantly.

As soon as I sealed the rune, a faint blue window appeared in front of me.

Class: Tailor

Grade: Apprentice Tailor → Journeyman Tailor

+2 Dexterity, +2 Spirit.

Perk Gained: [Quick Mend].

Perk Effect: Instantly patch torn fabric or leather with mana.

I was not surprised by the quick level up.

The quality I had made deserved that.

I read the perk details.

"It's quite good."

During fights, clothes always tore. Being able to fix them on the go would save time.

The stat increase was nice too.

I made a pair of black shoes next—soft, silent soles—and matching socks.

Then I brewed a potion on the side.

It was a simple blend to disguise my heartbeat.

It would adjust my slow heartbeat to a normal level without any after effects.

This would help me hide that I was injured.

When the clothes were ready, I activated Shadow Assimilation.

My body shifted, the shadows swirling and reshaping my features.

My frame became taller.

Then, I wore the [Disguise Skin] of Caelum Nocthera.

My reflection changed instantly.

White hair. Blue eyes. Pale, unblemished skin.

My body looked completely human. There was no trace of shadow-like appearance.

I put on the new clothes over the Disguise Skin.

The fabric fit perfectly.

I adjusted the tie loosely, left the top button undone, and created small round sunglasses to wear.

They didn't hinder my vision, even in the dark.

They increased my visual appeal, and suited the personality I was going for.

The person staring back at me in the mirror wasn't Alan Veritus, or me, or the Assassin who orchestrated the annihilation of the Dusk Hand Clan.

A tall young man with white hair and a mischievous grin looked back.

Confident, but careless in appearance.

A noble who didn't care for rules.

"This looks good. Let's move now, Yuna."

The Fallen Angel perched on my shoulder.

I walked around the room one last time, making sure nothing was out of place.

Every rune mark I'd drawn, every alchemical trace, I erased carefully.

No sign of tailoring, potion-making, or disguise should remain.

Once the room was spotless, I activated the warp point I had placed in the room.

A faint shimmer opened in the air.

This time, I didn't use the warp point in the forest near my house.

That one would definitely be under watch due to my action from days before.

Instead, I jumped through the one farther away, linking through the network I had set up long ago.

Each point connected seamlessly, letting me skip across the city unseen.

As I stepped out into the cool night air of a different district, the city lights reflected faintly on my sunglasses.

Caelum Nocthera walked forward.

The place I arrived in was abandoned, looking over the city.

It had cracked roads, broken fences, and silent buildings.

I slipped into the shadows and started moving.

After a few hours, I reached the area I had chosen before. A quiet valley with rocky cliffs and a faint breeze passing through.

I scanned the surroundings for the Saale River.

It had to be close.

The river cut through this region like a deep canyon bend.

That was where I needed to go.

There, hidden somewhere, was a path into the Cursed Spirit Bermuda Triangle's domain.

It was the place where I would find Charlotta's brother.

The official entrance to the Bermuda Triangle's domain was in the Atlantic Ocean, but that was too far.

I didn't have the time or the means to reach it on time, not when I had to be home by the morning.

That was why I came here: to find a secondary way in.

Rank 5 Cursed Spirits always had permanent subordinates.

Those weaker Cursed Spirits helped build narrative story and carry out their will.

In this case, they would serve as my guide and drag me into the Bermuda Triangle's domain if I met the right conditions.
