Shackles Of Reality

**Adam Walker's POV**

"Before I wanted to torture you but now it's instant death for you" he said with a rageful expression before picking the katana I dropped and thrusting it towards my heart, I tried to dodge but I knew it was futile.

But he suddenly froze before his head rolled to the side, his body followed a moment after giving me a view of my saviour.

It was a girl obsessed with the color purple, literally everything about her from her hair, eyes, and outfits are all purple in colour. "Aurora" I muttered. "You're weak" that's the only thing she said glancing at me.

"Uh... Thanks?" I let out, what does she mean weak, just because she's overpowered doesn't make others weak. And why is everywhere silent, it's like all the battles that were happening were over, even the one at the center of the city, I was so occupied with the guy in front of me that I didn't notice.

Twenty minutes earlier...

**3rd person POV**

After the declaration by Charles and the events following the arrival of the captain of the city's guards, a battle started from the center of the city, with Charles' subordinates creating chaos and battling the city guards.

Not far away from the center were a group of youngsters, namely Owen, Ashley, Lily, and Victor. "Ummmm, guys what do we do" asked Owen. "We do nothing except they attack us of course" Ashley shrugged.

"Well not like we could have done anything except trying to not get killed, those guys, especially the Charles guy speaking, from his aura he's a peak platinum meaning there will be other platinums and even gold ranks" Owen said. "So what I'm not afraid of some gold rank fools" Victor said flaring his early gold rank aura.

"Well, well, well, looks like someone's been hiding" Lily pouted before also flaring her aura which was surprisingly also at early gold rank. "Since it's like this then;" said Ashley also flaring her aura which was at mid gold rank causing the other three's expression to knit into a frown.

'She's already at mid gold rank?, how?' thought Lily. 'When did she reach this rank?, It seems I have to increase my effort' thought Victor. 'it seems they all advanced, especially Ashley' Owen thought while also flaring his early gold rank aura.

"Well it seems we've all advanced since our arrival at the academy isn't that great?" It was Lily who broke the tense atmosphere employing her bubbly personality.

"It seems there are some good chicks here" As they continued talking a raspy voice interupted. They look at the direction it came from and sighted a man in black robes, before a black haired woman appeared beside him. "Oh don't forget about this lovely boys" the woman said.

"Oh I didn't so chose the two you want to skin alive" the man said. "What do you mean, I don't do those type of things" she said seductively. "Tell that to someone who doesn't know you're a sadistic b*tch" he replied. "Fine I'll pick the girls" she said.

"Hey why are you guys talking as if we can't hear you? Shouted Owen. "It doesn't matter if you do, after all you're meeting your maker today. "Guys get ready to fight" Ashley said.

Just as the four were getting ready to fight, in another part of the city a purple haired girl was facing a woman holding dagger, but the thing was the aura she was giving, it was mid platinum. "The infamous Aurora De Silva" said the woman. "You know me?" asked Aurora in her usual apathetic tone.

"Of course for someone termed as the number one talent ever seen since the emergence, I would be a fool if I don't know you" said the woman. "My name is Crystal Gale, remember it when you're in hell". She said malevolently. "I see" was the only thing Aurora said before an overwhelming aura burst out of her suppressing everything in twenty meters radius around her.

"Interesting but you see, no one in the same major rank has ever survived more than two minutes before me, so I hope you can bite and not only being all talk".

"You monster,.... how is it possible to reach platinum rank at the age of sixteen" the woman muttered, it was surprising because she had only reached platinum rank when she was two thousand years old. Seeing Aurora's aura, she decided to go all out from the start.

"Authority; wind domain" she yelled. This was her authority, it allows her to form a domain thirty meters around her with which she can form attacks instantly from any point. For example, she could form a wind blade directly at her enemy's neck instantly decapitating them.

"You know what they say about there's always a bigger fish, well here am the bigger one, what genius?, if you meet someone stronger than you you'll still die" she said to Aurora. Forming gigantic wind blades, she sent them towards Aurora only for them to break before reaching her.

"Between the two of us, I'm the stronger one and also the genius" said Aurora, she already had the entire space around a kilometer in her control, if she wanted, the woman wouldn't even be able to use her authority.

"You....you monster this isn't fair, this isn't fair at all" the woman shouted going into frenzy, sending numerous wind attacks towards Aurora which dissipate just before reaching her.

Suddenly she stopped as she realized Aurora was no longer in front of her, just as she started looking, she heard a cold apathetic voice behind her "Life isn't exactly fair, that's the reality of this world, you're weak so you die, 'spatial collapse'" those were the last words the woman heard before the space around her body collapsed into cracks along with her body.

Aurora took a glance at the surroundings, buildings were razed to the grounds by the stray wind attacks, and If not for Aurora the place would have been even more devastated.
