Seven Beautiful Goddesses Want Me, But I Just Want My Revenge

Chapter 68: If you can hear me... it's time...

Adrian exchanged a glance with Lilith, who nodded her agreement. "Two of us go in," Adrian repeated. "You and me. Lilith and Medea will stay behind, ready to come in if anything happens."

Medea's eyes flared with anger, but she didn't argue. "You'd better call me the moment you sense danger," she warned, her voice low and serious. "Or I'll tear that place apart myself."

Adrian gave a grim smile. "Trust me, I will."

With the plan in place, Zack and Adrian approached the gates of the barracks, while Lilith and Medea remained out of sight, hidden among the trees.

As they neared, Adrian noticed how Zack's demeanor changed—he stood taller, adopting the posture of someone accustomed to authority. The gate guards recognized him immediately, their eyes narrowing as they looked over the two of them.

"What business do you have here?" one of the guards asked, his tone suspicious.

Zack's voice was calm, assertive as he showed them a seal from his pocket. "I'm to deliver a message, and this is my escort. I'll need the barracks' protection to make sure the message gets to where it's supposed to go."

The guards exchanged glances, then nodded, allowing them entry.

Inside, the barracks were a hive of activity, with soldiers training, sparring, and preparing for the day's duties.

As they moved deeper into the compound, Zack led the way, his steps measured and confident. They passed rows of soldiers sharpening their weapons, each one glancing at them with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

Finally, they were escorted into a large chamber, where the chief of the barracks awaited them. The chief was a grizzled veteran, his face lined with the scars of many battles. He eyed Zack with a cold, calculating stare.

"So," the chief said slowly, his voice a low rumble, "you've finally returned, Zack."

Zack didn't respond, taking the chief's question as rhetorical.

"What brings you here, Zack?" the chief asked after a few more seconds.

Zack, clearly nervous, tried to maintain his composure. "I need to deliver some messages to the boss," he said, though his voice trembled slightly. "Adrian is my escort. He'll be leaving once he's certain of my safety with you."

The chief turned to face Adrian, but his expression was unreadable. For a moment, there was silence.

Then, without warning, the chief's face twisted into a sneer. "Arrest them both," he ordered in a cold and commanding voice.

Adrian's heart lurched as the soldiers around them moved to obey, their weapons drawn. "What's going on?" he demanded, his hand instinctively reaching for his sword.

The chief stepped forward, his eyes glinting with malice. "I've received word that Zack is no longer under my protection," he explained, his tone dripping with disdain. "He's to be captured on sight and executed. And as for you," he added, his gaze turning to Adrian, "you're just collateral damage. We'll deal with you the same way."

Zack paled, fear etched on his face as the soldiers closed in. "Wait, no! There must be some mistake!"

The chief only laughed, a cruel sound that sent a shiver down Adrian's spine. "There's no mistake here, I'm afraid," he said coldly. "You're both going to die here, and we're going to make a game out of it."

Adrian's heart raced as he accessed the situation. He exchanged a quick glance with Zack, who looked like the ground had just fallen from under him. He had no idea the size of the barracks, their strength, and all.

They were outnumbered and outflanked, with no clear way out.

The soldiers moved in closer, their expressions eager, almost hungry, as if relishing the chance to take down their prey. The chief's voice cut through the tension like a blade. "Let's make this interesting," he sneered. "I'll give you a head start. Try to escape, and maybe I'll let you live a little longer."

Adrian felt the cold grip of fear tighten around his heart, but he forced himself to stay calm. He knew they were walking into a trap, but now there was no turning back.

His only chance was to fight, and for that, he needed Medea.

"Medea," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "If you can hear me… now's the time."

****************

Meanwhile, outside the barracks, Lilith and Medea stood hidden among the trees, the wind rustling the leaves as they waited.

Medea's eyes were distant as if she were listening to something only she could hear. After a moment, she turned to Lilith. "How does it feel to be free again, Lilith? Away from that prison we were in for so long?"

Lilith stretched lazily, her body moving with a sensual grace that came naturally to her. "It feels good, really good. Being trapped was torture, and not the fun kind," she replied with a playful smirk.

Then, her expression turned thoughtful. "But being out here, with Adrian… it's better than I imagined."

Medea raised an eyebrow; her curiosity piqued. "Adrian? He seems strong; I mean, he was able to keep his own when we fought, but what do you really think of him?"

Lilith's eyes sparkled mischievously. "Adrian is strong, smart, and, oh my goodness, does he fuck well." She let out a low, satisfied sigh.

Medea blinked in surprise. "You two already…?"

"Of course," Lilith replied as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "If it weren't for the fact that we're constantly on the road, I'd have him doing me daily. I'd be full and satisfied all the time."

Medea rolled her eyes. "Really, Lilith? You never change."

Lilith laughed softly, a sound that was both sweet and sultry. "What? That's how I feed. The same way you thrive on strife and wrath, I thrive on pleasures and desires. It's just the way we are, sis."

Medea's gaze softened as she considered her sister's words. "It's strange, being out here again. So much has changed, and yet some things never do."

Lilith nodded. "I know. It's been too long since we were all together, too long since we felt truly free." She paused, her expression turning serious. "I can't wait for the seven of us to be back together. It would be just like old times."

Medea was about to respond when a sudden surge of energy pulled her attention away. She stiffened, her eyes narrowing as she focused on the faint whisper that reached her ears. "Medea, if you can hear me… it's time."

Lilith noticed the change in her sister's demeanour and immediately understood. "Adrian needs us," she said, her playful tone replaced by an urgent one.

Medea's expression hardened, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination. "Let's go."
