Saving The Six Realms By Starting A Romance

Chapter 1 - Episode 1: Pickup Without Drop Off

When Jiang Ran opened her eyes, she was greeted by a canopy of white silk clouds. The silk was woven from spiritual energy, adorned with auspicious clouds and flowing lights that gently moved, casting a seven-colored glow that was both beautiful and painfully dazzling to her eyes.

Before she could complain about the strange aesthetic of having fairy lights on a bed curtain, a soft female voice sounded beside the bed, filled with joy and anticipation.

“Your Highness, you’re finally awake!”

Turning her head, Jiang Ran saw a woman in a flowing fairy dress sitting by the bed. The woman was exceptionally beautiful, surrounded by an aura of immortality, and she smiled with bright black eyes, revealing a set of white teeth in her excitement.

Who is this?

Jiang Ran felt a pang of unease in her heart. Seeing the woman’s ancient attire, she had a bad premonition. Her first reaction was to touch her face and then look down at her body. Her arms were still her arms, her face was still her face, and even the yellow jacket she had been wearing was still on her, albeit a bit more wrinkled. Everything was just as it had been before she fell asleep.

“Your Highness?” The woman called out again, seeing Jiang Ran pulling at her clothes and not responding. She couldn’t help but speak up, “Is there something wrong? Should I…”

“Wait a moment!” Jiang Ran, feeling chaotic inside, confirmed it was indeed her body before she slipped out of bed and quickly walked towards the door.

“Your Highness? Your Highness!” The woman was startled and immediately followed her.

Jiang Ran yanked the door open, revealing a scene of immortal splendor outside. White jade palaces stood amidst clouds, the sky filled with a permanent rainbow glow, with flocks of celestial cranes flying between the palaces, and the sound of heavenly music occasionally drifting through the air. It was a breathtaking celestial scene.

Everything seemed to indicate that this place was not only beyond the human world but also far from the Earth she knew.

Jiang Ran stood frozen, staring at the celestial landscape, her mind conjuring one word.

Damn!

Not again?

“Your Highness.” The fairy servant caught up, her face full of concern. “What’s wrong? Please don’t scare me. I’ll notify the celestial physician immediately.” She began forming a hand sign to send a message.

“No need.” Jiang Ran came back to her senses, suppressing her urge to curse, and sighed wearily. “I’m fine.”

The fairy servant still looked at her with suspicion, seemingly hesitant.

“Why do you call me ‘Your Highness’?” Jiang Ran asked. She was sure she had transmigrated, but it was her own body, not a soul transmigration, so why was she being addressed as a princess?

“Your Highness is the Heavenly Emperor’s personally appointed Princess of Heaven. We naturally address you as ‘Your Highness’.” The fairy servant smiled knowingly and explained softly.

“Personally appointed by the Heavenly Emperor?” What?

“Yes…” She seemed to remember something and continued, “Three days ago, Your Highness was still unconscious, so you wouldn’t know. But now the Emperor’s decree has spread across the six realms, and you are now known to all as the Princess of Heaven.”

“Three days ago?” Jiang Ran frowned. “I’ve been unconscious for three days?”

“Yes, yes.” The fairy servant nodded. “The Star Lord of Law said that Your Highness’s origin is extraordinary, and your body couldn’t withstand the pressure of the formation, so it was normal for you to fall unconscious. You’ll recover in a few days.”

“Star Lord of Law? Formation?” Jiang Ran felt a headache coming on. She scrutinized the fairy servant, feeling exhausted, and asked, “Who are you, and why am I here?”

She clearly remembered that she had spent the weekend playing games all night. After being brutally defeated dozens of times by the opposing team, she had fallen asleep without even changing her clothes. How had she ended up here after a single night’s sleep?

“My name is Qing Jue, and I was sent by the Emperor to serve you.” Qing Jue bowed slightly and pointed to the plaque at the door. “This is the auxiliary palace on the Ninth Heaven, Floating Cloud Palace, a temporary celestial residence bestowed upon you by the Emperor. As for why you are here…”

She paused, looking Jiang Ran over carefully, then spoke cautiously, as if afraid of scaring her. “It is because the Heavenly Emperor, in response to the divine oracle of the heavenly way, joined forces with eighteen Star Lords and numerous immortals to gather the power of all the celestials and set up a cross-realm formation on the Chengtian Platform. After three months, they finally activated the formation and summoned Your Highness here.”

“So you all brought me to this… world?” Jiang Ran’s brows furrowed deeply. “This is the Immortal Realm? And you are an immortal?” Don’t you need my consent to invite me?

“Yes!” She nodded vigorously. “I will take good care of you, Your Highness.”

“Wait, I just want to know why?” Jiang Ran was even more confused. She thought it was an accidental transmigration, but it turned out they had done it on purpose? Since when did the Immortal Realm have the authority to pull people from another world? Isn’t that illegal?

“This… involves heavenly secrets, and I do not know the details.” Qing Jue shook her head apologetically. “But the Emperor specifically instructed that your presence is crucial for the six realms, as you are the chosen one by the divine will. Therefore, the Emperor and the Star Lords didn’t hesitate to expend half their cultivation to summon you.”

She continued, her eyes bright and a little proud. “Many thought it wouldn’t work. After all, the so-called cross-realm formation was just a legend, and even the Four Holy Temples believed the Emperor’s efforts were in vain. Who could have imagined the formation would actually work and bring you here?”

“…” Well, thanks a lot!

“Can you send me back?” She asked with her last bit of hope. “Isn’t there a formation or something?” If they could bring her here, surely they could send her back?

“Ah? Ah!” Qing Jue was taken aback, not expecting her first reaction to be wanting to leave. She shook her head frantically. “That’s impossible. Not only does activating the formation require half the cultivation of a hundred celestials, but the formation itself was also destroyed upon summoning you. It cannot be used again.”

“…” This is what you call a one-way ticket!

“The Emperor has been waiting to see you for a long time.” Qing Jue seemed to recall something and changed the subject. “Now that you’re awake, you must be summoned immediately. If you have any other questions, you will understand everything once you meet the Heavenly Emperor.”

“Mm.” Jiang Ran responded noncommittally.

“Please rest in your room for a while. I will go and notify them.” Qing Jue said, seemingly afraid she would run away. She quickly bowed and hurried off, repeatedly looking back and reminding her, “Please wait here. I’ll be back soon. Wait for me.”

Jiang Ran watched the hurriedly flying fairy servant with amusement. She didn’t go back to her room but sat on a stone chair in the courtyard, carefully observing the exquisite and magnificent celestial scenery.

So this is the Immortal Realm now. It’s really… completely different!
