Saving A Mermaid to Become My Love

Carla saw Henry's charming smile. Carla couldn't stop thinking that if she were in the human world, she would meet a man as charming as Henry. Even though his face wasn't very charming, Henry treated her quite well.

“Yeah, I guess I'll eat it now. The scent is quite delicious, very fragrant lemon. Well cooked seaweed and seagrass, I think I like it,” said Carla, she looked at Henry straight in the face.

Henry and Carla both showed smiles. Until their eyes both stared at each other. But finally Carla looked away and noticed the food she was holding.

Not long after, Carla started eating the food that Henry had prepared for her. Henry, who saw Carla eating heartily, could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Now he walked back to the bar stool. Henry returned to eating his food which had been delayed.

Henry's cooking has been made to suit her taste buds, so Carla can now enjoy the food made for her. Carla could eat her food with ease. Now she no longer feels pain in her chest and throat. Because Henry had made new food for her. Now Carla can be a little calmer, because cooked seaweed and seagrass are better than having to eat fish meat.

They spent fifteen minutes having dinner together. Henry and Carla prefer to enjoy food rather than talking to each other. Carla seemed happy with Henry's cooking. Now she can enjoy seaweed and seagrass that have been thoroughly roasted, different from the food she ate while she was a mermaid.

Carla has finished eating her food. Now her gaze turned to Henry who was sitting beside her. Carla blinked, until she decided to put the plate she was holding on the kitchen table. Henry realized that, he frowned.

“You've finished your food. So what will you do next?” Henry said, he directed his gaze at Carla.

“I want to clean my dirty body. Can you let me borrow your bathroom?” Carla said, she asked Henry for permission to go to the bathroom.

Henry didn't answer immediately, he chose to get a glass of water to drink. After his thirst was quenched, Henry placed his glass on the kitchen table. Now he turned his attention to Carla.

“You can go to the bathroom. Wear it whatever you like, don't stay in the bathroom for too long or you'll get cold,” Henry said, he spoke it lightly.

“Okay, I'll go to the bathroom after this,” said Carla, then looked away.

Carla took a glass of water to drink immediately. When she was done, she put the glass back on the kitchen table. Now Carla hurriedly stood up and walked up the stairs. Carla headed to the bathroom upstairs.

Carla's steps continued until she entered the bathroom. Carla closed the door, and started to take off the clothes she was wearing. Carla started filling the bathtube with water and liquid soap, then she soaked her body in the bathtube.

Instantly, her pair of legs turned into a tail and fins. The tail she had longed for so long. After several hours of not seeing her tail, Carla already miss it. Somehow Carla felt hurt.

She should still be with her friends at this time. Together with other water creatures who live side by side with other mermaids.

But because of an unexpected incident, Carla had to be here. Together with man who come from the human race. Carla started washing her tail until her fingers reached her chest. Now she started rubbing her arms and hands.

Carla could feel the coolness of the water starting to penetrate her body. Every drop of water felt cool to her. Her mind began to feel calm. She felt like sea water was greeting her again. Carla shed tears, how sad it was to be separated so far from where she lived.

After a few minutes of feeling calm, Carla now opened her eyes. She began to accept the fact that now she had to be patient for a while to be in the same house with a man. Carla has to let herself be separated from the ocean and her mermaid group for a while.

Carla took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. It seemed like she had to make plans and strategies to return to the ocean. Not only that, Carla even had to find out the whereabouts of the pirates who had brought the moonstone.

Carla closed her eyes again. She decided to immerse her head slowly under the bathtub water. Carla tried to feel how cool the water touched her skin. Like really missing home, where Carla could swim freely with other mermaids.

Not long after, Carla began to reappear on the surface of the bathtub water. She felt better now. Now she started to cast a spell to return her tail to a pair of legs. She then got out of the bathtub and drained the water that filled the bathtube.

Carla started to take a towel and dry her body down to her hair. After that, she walked out of the bathroom. When Carla was in front of the bathroom, Henry was already standing waiting for her.

“I've cleaned the kitchen table and washed our cutlery. Now I see you have finished cleaning yourself,” said Henry in a low voice.

Carla could see for herself how tired Henry's face was. But it seemed that Carla couldn't do anything to lighten Henry's burden.

“Yes, I have finished cleaning my body. Very fresh, thank you for the liquid soap and bathroom,” said Carla, she smiled a little at the end of her sentence.

Henry nodded with an open heart. He felt a little better when Carla expressed her gratitude. Henry didn't mind even though Carla had to live under the same roof as him for a while.

“So, do you have anything else to wear right now?” Henry asked Carla.

Carla shook her head. She felt like she had nothing else to wear at the moment. Immediately, Carla's blue eyes turned uncertainly to Henry. She didn't know how to act at the moment.

“Do you have one for me? Let me wear it tonight,” said Carla, she asked Henry for clothes.
